Avon Valley Railway - Class 08 Running Day - Saturday 5th March 2022

An impromptu event was organised at the Avon Valley Railway, with a one day BR Class 08 running day taking place on Saturday 5th March. Taking advantage of visiting Class 08 No 08359, it ran alongside home based No 08202 to operate services between Bitton and Oldland Common, with the south section to Avon Riverside currently closed for maintenance. The trains were well filled for the duration of the day, with many commenting on their enjoyment of the event.
The weather for the day was dry throughout, with a mix of sun and cloud over the day.
