One of the writers has come forward and said that the ‘brothers’ line wasn’t written in the original script and the studio changed it and they were written ina less platonic aka it was supposed to be canon way
They "work" together so they can still become a couple any moment😏
But seriously, the scriptwriters shipped them fucking TOO much to leave them being just friends 👺😒👺

I’ve watched this video an unhealthy amount. Part of me wants to actually watch Gotham because of this glorious romance but part of me doesn’t knowing it’s not technically a romance
I mean I was shocked when I was watching through it and found out they didn’t kiss lol it made no sense. I wasn’t watching as it aired and had no idea how homophobic the powers that be were. 😂 They had women kiss all the time… and yet somehow those same women almost always prioritized men, even when they clearly had a female partner. 🤦🏽♀️
Basically I just want to say that until I read about stuff behind the scenes and people saying they were just friends or whatever, I had no idea they weren’t canon lol. I just assumed based on what the show presented that they were in a relationship. The supposedly straight side of the relationship flirts with multiple men in the show and says things that would be considered romantic towards the other in most situations.
I thought the homophobia extended only to not saying they are explicitly in a relationship and showing love scenes or whatever, I didn’t realize until the end and reading quotes from those involved that it also included showing not a single kiss between them and people constantly referring to them as “friends” and even saying one was heterosexual. That definitely seemed like lies told to appease FOX or whoever else hated gay or bi men.
@@NoelleMar I think the fact that the whole series is about bloodthirsty criminals obsessed with power and violence makes a diffetence? Think about it; Ed N. and Penguin both love POWER and destruction and violence more than they will ever love one another. The writers arent homophobic or I doubt they would have pushed this dynamic as far as they have. But they are about being realistic about two very f.up, violent, hair-trigger criminals.
@@madamvaudelune3298 there’s such a thing as queer baiting, which is homophobic. They also totally believed that the riddler, someone who supposedly loves power, loved THREE women. I would do more research because you’re making incorrect assumptions and drawing the wrong conclusions.

@@froggies4044 yeah when i wrote that i was only in the middle of season 3 and i thought i knew everything already but it's much more complicated than that. I think he was in denial to his love for Oswald, he literally took drugs so he could see him again (he never did that when Isabella or even miss kringle died), he said himself that when he killed Oswald he killed a part of himself too.. and then there was that scene when he image Oswald singing to him in a seductive way i mean-
Also after Oswald "came back to life" and they rebuilt their friendship Ed seemed to be the more affectionate one (or is it just me that saw this?) and Oswald seemed to be more distant for a while, it was like Ed finally realized his feelings for Oswald, but Oswald felt like he was hurt enough by love (and by Ed) and now he was the one denying his feelings.
But i think when i wrote this what i meant was that it was never actually confirmed Ed loves him, so it was only canon that Oswald does. We can only guess from here (but my guess is YES).

Очень нравится, как вы подобрали фразы из сериала и видеоряд под слова из песни, они очень комплиментарны друг другу. На моменте, где Бутч спрашивает, кто же полюбит такого фрика, а Освальд говорит "Его имя Эд" у меня дрогнуло сердечко :D В действительности это вообще фразы из разных сезонов, но здесь они идеально сочетаются, спасибо за эту находку!
Теперь это один из моих любимых клипов по этой паре, не знаю, как остановить себя от пересмотра его раз за разом :D

в целом да, честно говоря, это наверное единственная пара из просмотренных мной сериалов за которую я переживала прям по-настоящему всеми фибрами души, как говорится. Актеры невероятно сыграли, столько химии всего в одном взгляде, без единого даже поцелуя... Очень надеюсь увидеть их вместе ещё в каком-нибудь совместном проекте, Робин и Кори навсегда украли мое сердечко :3
