The writers dragged that relationship along as long as they did BECAUSE the fans liked it, and were utterly childish about it. They were pressured into their script by idiot preteens that wanted to dictate the show like a bad fanfiction. In Archie Comics, there is LOTS of Barchie, it wouldn't be Archie without it. So be grateful you had it as long as you did. Other than season 1, I personally think it got a LOT better when Bughead broke up.

i know this video was posted a year ago but i just started watching riverdale im on season 5 and i HATE barchie if you really look at it the only people that were really there for jug and never hurt him was Veronica, Toni, and just the serpents they never left his side when he needed them. Jug doesn’t deserve the way betty and Archie treat him, he is in my top three characters in riverdale, my favorite season so far if five because i love jughead with Tabitha so far, she treats him so well. i dont know if im the only one but does anyone else ship Veronica and Jughead.
