I do agree that we really do need a Code Veronica remake over it, I do see the value in another remake to 1. A lot of people avoid the original remake thanks to its gameplay and bringing it to something more modern would allow those people to experience it. Plus it would be really cool to explore the spencer mansion from an over the shoulder view lol
My main concern is that they are gonna do some small tinkering here and there, and then put in fresh mocap actors, and then they are gonna cut content and corners to where all we'll experience is the mansion. The back of the mansion will be opened, no additional bosses, no chimeras, and you'll be lucky if they decide to bring back the crimson heads. So yeah...no, its a terrible idea.

But anyway, a remake of a remake makes sense when the 26 year old control scheme and camera perspective are unappealing to the vast majority of people, I personally enjoy them and they're really nostalgic, but dont pretend like if you and I could have chosen as kids or teens between re1 remake on gamecube or the equivalent game in the modern re engine that us and everyone else wouldn't find the modern game objectively more appealing.

My first game was re4 on the ps2, along with outbreak Then when I got a wii I played the remake of re1 and when I got a ps3 in my teen years I got every single game that was available on the system including the original trilogy and code veronica I had the choice between modern and old, and I still enjoyed the old. In fact, what solidified my love for the series more than anything was playing that remake of re1, even after I played something like re4 which was one of my favorite and most played games
Then go play fps Umbrella chronicles. Funny still ppl play the so call "whack tank controls and fixed camera angles" on Twitch for speedruns and casual plays. 🤷♂️
