Wuuk 3 Month Review And Solar Panel Test

- I've been using Wuuk for around 3 months, here are my thoughts on the system, what I like, what could be done better, as well as the addition of the solar panel. So far I'm pleasantly surprised, the claims about battery life and wireless have exceeded my expectations.

Nice! HDL is getting all sorts of love! Snazzy panel, I see the value in it for sure. I like my Wuuk, only installed my doorbell and one camera. I still have 2 cameras I haven't installed. My doorbell camera, which gets the most traffic, is still sitting at 70%+ after 2 months of use. I agree on the deleting-old-videos suggestion... I'd be a huge fan of "delete prior to" or an auto "delete after XX days". My solution, for now, is to delete by the day, 1 month at a time. Big SMASH for you.

Ok this is great, I might be convinced on this set up now… hey if you plugged that base station into your battery back up would it continue recording during a power outage too?
You bet it would. Don't worry about battery life, they do really well!
About to pull the trigger on this set up, but I noticed on their website it says they won’t charge below 0 degrees, have you noticed if that solar panel works below zero?
It was definitely colder outside when I tested, but maybe with the afternoon sun the unit was warmer.

Is there a monthly fee?
Where is the storage held, on your phone, app, sd, cloud, etc?…
What’s the max distance for coverage from the base?
There is no monthly fee, the storage is held on the base unit. You can upgrade to a cloud option, but you can stay totally free which is what I'm doing.

To my knowledge not yet.
You can choose to format the memory then you have deleted al off the video's.
I've also recently learned you don't have to do anything and it will just overwrite the oldest videos.
