PICARD: Then formulate this one. How do I deal Riker and the Hathaway? I will await your answer on the Bridge.
And, Commander, it is possible to commit no mistakes and still lose. That is not a weakness. That is life.
DATA: I believe I understand, sir.
PICARD: And Data, will you leave your hesitation and self-doubt here in your quarters. - Hudba

I love the written commentary, too. I too went from "He's not bold, mischievous, badass. I don't like him" to "I love him exactly for that."
It's so interesting to observe how we change, right?
Oh yeah more Star Trek jams please!
No mistakes committed here 😎
this is life
Picard will always be an absolute legend to me and this is a fitting tribute.
a very ENGAGE-ing tune 👉
Jean-Luc is the best of us all
He has book out about his life, when you read the last chaper you find your self disapointed that its over. It leaves you feeling like he has so many more amazing little side stories he could tell you. Making It So: A Memoir
That's great, I think I'll look it up - thanks!
I've been watching Star Trek again as an adult too. Totally agree! It's different watching as an adult than it was as a child. Love Star Trek! 🖖🏽
🖖🏻
What a perfectly polished song. Love it.
Glad to know!
I've actually got cowbell fever once again!
Then you know the prescription!
Mr CGI Fingers strikes again... 🖖🥰🥰Hope you are all good. 😜🙄🤭
Just amazing! You never disappoint Yuri!
Glad to be of service!
I never got into Star Trek. Watched the first season of TNG, thought it was amazing writing. But I just fell off the wagon and never climbed back on to keep going through it. Someday, maybe. This line always stuck with me, though.
It's how I found Star Trek years ago, and it's how I found my way in. I highly recommend getting through all of TNG. If you loved the first season, I'm sure you'll love all seven seasons.
First season is by far the weakest, give it another shot. Deep Space Nine as well :)
Do yourself a favor. Get to Season 3.
Season 1 was still struggling to get on its feet, and felt more like the original series. Season 2 had to deal with a writers strike. Season 3 is the real first season of TNG.
Yeah, Seasons 3+ is when TNG gets better. I wouldn't blame ya if you stopped after just watching Season 1 -- it's CG is hokey and writing isn't that amazing, in general. That said, Season 2 is still worth watching, and some of its episodes are referenced later.
I just finished watching ST:TNG This is wild
synchronicity!
If you go back, Kirk was a button upped nerd in his young days while Picard was a brash drinker and fighter who only calmed down once he was stabbed in the heart.
Oooooh is that right? I'll look that up
your thumbnail looks like your super old lol....... love the vids been watching since you were in your shed in england
Maybe you're confusing me with Christian Henson? lol
Engaged
Your songs are always so complex! I love watching the small "making ofs" for inspiration, but how do you transfer your recorded sample (Picards voice here) over multiple keys? Is it automatic with the blackbox and OP-1 from before?
Meticulous manual chopping, if I am not mistaken, is the only option.
Yep @moolder is right, manually chopping, taking care to tweak the start and ends to get them right
@@yuriwongmusicThanks for replying and confirming my fears! Even more amazing knowing how much work goes into every song
@@moolder Thanks for the explanation! Yuri makes the flow look so simple and sound so good
What happened to the op-1
Just curious I do like the new equipment too 😊
I got bored of it lol. I just like playing around with new things with new sounds and approaches
never watched star treck. Any recommendations on where to start?
I started with TNG when I was a kid, so maybe that? :D
wait all these are sampled intsruments? Are there multiple samples per instrument for different pitches?
Some of them are mulltisamples, some are single samples transposed across the keyboard. The BlackBox is pretty amazing at auto multisampling
