For those interested, I'd recommend checking out the video about the Mayan gods as well: czcams.com/video/bDamOPNmAEI/video.html . It's fascinating to compare and contrast the pantheons of these two Mesoamerican civilizations.
Omg! I was skeptical of this video when I first saw it... I myself am a Nahua person. So I skipped forward to see your analysis of Ometeotl... and I was PLEASANTLY surprised to see how well researched the content was in covering this dual deity, the supreme deity!!! And you did it justice by uplifting its androgynous nature... kudos!!
@@korasworldanduniverse not all Nahua are Mexica... you clearly know nothing about Mesoamerica..
Brilliant video thanks
Thanks for another interesting video I always enjoy them
Both Mictlantecuhtli & his wife and Xolotl are my favourites. IDK why but I’m just very bias for Gods of death & the Underworld.
Really cool
nice! thanks
Good video & information thanks
Fantastic work!
I just watched this and the Maya video, hopefully Inca won't be far behind! 😉😎

Woooohoooo....👍🏻👌🏻👏🏻
Where did all the art work come from?!?
Excuse me if I'm wrong but how many deities related to healing are in this mythology. I counted more than five associated with healing and fertility
unlike with greek gods, several aztec gods can be related to the same concepts (for example the 2 gods of mais), it is not a strict attribution
the gods are linked to some ideas, elements, etc, but they don't own it
@@monsieur-luzasmr thanks for the explanation

They were cannibals
Maybe, maybe not. But if they did, many cultures across the world did ritualistic cannibalism like them; Ancient Greeks, Polynesians, Canaanites, Ancient Egyptians, West Africans, Britannic Celts, Ancient Chinese, et cétera.
@@Dice_roller in all ancient Cultures Cannibalism was extremely taboo and forbidden, especially Greek other Mediterranean and Celtic Cultures, but AssTecs, Filipinos, South Chinese and Bantus from the Congo have a lot in common, because they practiced cannibalism
lol they mastered agriculture though?
i highly invite you to read before making any statement, will make you look dumb otherwise XD
I eat cannibals.
You should do Christian mythology even know its absolutely idiotic
Christian mythology includes many types of beasts, creatures, and entities with peculiar relationships to the Chrisitan Creator God including
A cherubim which has 3 or more faces
An Oraphim with wheeled ringed bodies and many many eyes
A Serpahim with many many wings and a link to snakes and serpents
A blood-related creation of The Creator called an angel
A non-blood related creation of The Creator called a human
Flying horned snakes
Flying horned serpents
A type of demon called Dragon
A type of angel called Thrones
A type of demon called a President
A type of demon called A Legions
A type of demon called a duke
A type of demon called a baron
A type of demon called an emperor
A type of demon called a king
A type of angel called A Chorus
A type of angel called a wheel
A type of angel called A Ring
an archangel
The fiery flying snakes
A type of white pigeon called The Holy Spirit
A type of of flesh and blood undead apparition of Jesus called A Holy Ghost
A type of flesh and blood apparition of The Virgin Mary called a Marian Apparition
Honestly, christianity would be more interesting if it was just a mythology and not an actual religion
@@johnrodrical2807 Christianity is just the latest version. All these cultures are telling mostly the same stories with the same characters.
