Definitely Ellen I love her design, and I love shark tails! I don’t play ZZZ so I don’t know her gameplay that well, but still Ellen is probably one of my favorite characters even tho I don’t play. I’m not sure what her age is what she really is like as in uhh I don’t really know how to explain but anyway, she’s cool so def shark girl! ^^

@@bookmarker2891 yeah you'd just swap to neko after piper does her thing pretty much o: since the physical set gets its bonuses after an assault proc its still not too bad to have neko come in and do some quick burst atleast :D
Basically, the whole reason is that Ellen has a team while no other standard dps does.
soldier 11 has a team, koleda/ben and lucy, but its members arent as strong as ellens team
Ellens team has so much overloaded tools it’s insane, double ice res down, up to 1k atk power buff, stunned damage amp, ice damage amp, soukaku w-engine buff on top of Ellens already overloaded kit lol

No, you didn't watched the whole video. Ellen is good even with only free A ranks, Lycaon is just a nice plus, while Soldier 11 needs Koleda to perform ok'ish.
Ellen with weapon solos everything alone, I don’t even have time to do a full rotation, it’s great tho because I really like her design.
Nekomata being this close without a proper support lineup is genuinely impressive
Also worth mentioning that Koleda was bugged (apparently, instead of her increasing her impact, her "buff" was decreasing it or something lile that. ^^;)
I've heard she got much better after her fix, though I don't if this video was recorded before or after it.

4:56 Did you know if you press C you change/parry to the previously in order character, I saw you pressing space twice to change to ellen, but you could just press C
I don't think ellen is far superior to 5 star characters in the standard banner, but I pulled her anyway because she is cute :)
Agree if you count ellen as herself, but her best team in my opinion is far superior than any team currently in game

She is definitely superior just because her banner has soukaku and the fact that Ellen has a good mix of aoe and single target whilst also having good multipliers on EX, Chain and ult. Also the ice infusion is much easier to get than Soldier. I would way that Soldier dps wise can be the same, but because her attacks are hard to get and they are mostly single target and hard to clump she falls behind Ellen. And I didnt consider her large skill energy consumption

As a brainless left clicker and my first 5* being Nekomata so I used her a bunch before getting Ellen, I'd say Ellen was way better in comparison. Went from 1:30~2:00 runs to less than 1:30 and even under a minute when i switched to Ellen.
Of course this was just my experience as someone who has skill issues, I wouldn't know how they perform at their full potential when used by the sweaty tryhards.
Most of the content in the game is ice weak rn, the whole game is tailored to ellen

Nekomata's main letdown is her dash is up to chances. So if you are lucky you gonna dash a lot but if you don't then you came back to normal basic attack. I'd say nekomata is the easier S rank dps to use cause you just spam basic attack or if you have anomaly builder like piper wait to trigger and press ex attack
I'm curious why did you choose to make the comparison in Shiyu Defense instead of VR?
Isn't VR more consistent since you can control almost every parameters?
I think it's because Prydwen goes for meta only pretty much, if it's not good in Shiyu Defense, then they don't really care

They forget that Piper is doing attacker numbers, she is a powerhouse by herself as long as you can apply an element to the enemy that is not physical lol
BTW PIPER is actually better as a support for nekomata, her passive is also a damage buff for the entire team per stacks, and it makes Daze super easy. So in that fight, if you use Nekomata+Anby+Piper = You actually would be able to stun the boss 2-3 times in that single run and dish out insane amounts of asssault damage.
Is that even true? Piper takes so much fieldtime from your Neko, and her passive is only on her skill, not normal attacks
@@undeniablySomeGuyone of the first people to clear shiyu defense 10 uses Ellen hyper and Nekomata with Piper. Basically you just cycle with Nekomata and Piper the whole time (yes the third character almost doesn't get any field time) and for the third character they used Nicole for 30% def shred (chain atk)
The reason for this is because the physical drive disks really love assault (physical anomaly) and Piper is the best to proc it
You don’t even need Anby if u can proc assault a lot since it does big daze, so just slot in Lucy for the atk buff
Honestly, great content, thank you so much for comparing these dps for us, but what earned my sub was the taste in music. Hearing the Sunleth Waterscape again after all these years was a nostalgia trip I haven’t had in years, so thank you
also there is a piper disorder team with s11&lucy that does insane burst damage and imo on par if not can be better than ellen especially early on in the game where crit stats are still unoptimized. i just happened to play that team by accident but im glad to see that nakfrg made a video covering that team as well

Feel like one of the reasons why Ice Team is better because most of the content has advantages for Ice and/or Ether teams. You barely see stages where Fire and Physical have advantages.

Nicole - piper - Nekomata shouldve been the team. Nicole quick swapping into piper can near instantly trigger disorder with a def shred and Piper herself has wonderful dmg and daze build-up that sets up for Nekomata.
When the team has energy, they should be pushing disorder, and when they dont they should be push raw dmg with Nekomata. It will drastically increase overall dps
@zmm1337 a thing i wanted to add is you used 4p woodpecker on ellen and 2 p pen . which are very bland compared to her 4p ice and 2p woodpecker. like the numbers wouldve been out of the chart if u used proper 4-2 set like on s11.
Thats why she is 2 tiers above. even without lycaon she literally murders the shiyu defense, i say this because i have no lycaon and she makes a joke out of the other dpsers in the game rn.

Ellen I feel like is more of a comfort pick ( I will say with there sig W engine I think she kinda gaps the other S Ranks cause its insane) like she is just way easier to flow thru then soldier 11. I love soldier but having to time her attacks is inherently slowing her down and I wish she had a way to tell how many stacks she his of fire suprresion left like ellen does.
I feel like after jane doe comes out (her being a 5 star physical anomaly) neko’s time might change by a little bit

I think Jane is better off with secondary anomaly (Grace) or a disorder team

That's a complete lie lol. What? The strongest teams aren't mono element at all, not even mono path. Consider all the strongest teams. FF Superbreak team (Fire/Fire/Ice/Imaginary). DoT team (Lightning/Wind/Ice/Sustain). Acheron (Lightning/Ice/Quantum/Sustain). FUA team (Imaginary/Imaginary/Fire/Physical). Seele Team 4 (Quantum/Quantum/Wind/Sustain). Not a single one of those teams are mono element. Mono element teams exist, but they're niche at best and troll in most cases.
It's a minor thing, but it pisses me off how much content creators get to just straight up lie, put trash out, and get away with it. I don't understand why the comparison even has to be made when HSR and ZZZ are completely different genres. If you really needed to put some random ass comparison into the script, why not compare it to Aether Gazer or PGR or any of the other dozens of gacha games that actually use mono element teams?
nekomata team without Piper lol. Piper, Lucy, Nekomata or a Stunner, Piper and Nekomata team is so good. i like Lucy because of the quick assist on Nekomata
If you are trying to balance this test out, why would you have an elemental 4 piece on S11 but not on Ellen... Huge difference it's a literal multiplier.
I’m not 100% sure if this is how it works. But I think at 5:35~ you overwrote the full vortex fly the flag buff. Which would lower the clear time no?

been following them since nikke/cs was the only game they reviewed I forgot.
I'd just say the tierlist is more like a meta tier list. at first launched, its common to see they put top meta team with limited chara at the top.
and the standard units just at safe tier until they found out that a lot of ppl using those characters a lot or until those units got their limited missing pcs.
especially if they only have one contributor, its often subjective tbh.
if you've been playing hoyogames, you should already know that content like abyss/moc always promoting its current limited banners.
its common to see meta shifted for dps anyway.
so pls don't look that tier tier list as a holy bible. team synergy at the right stage > tierlist
Play a character that u like / suit your playstyle as a pivot then find their synergy comp then you will be happy to not be a temp meta slave.

I think thats just dependent on what characters you get i have ellen but my soukaku is at M0 and i dont have lyacon so she does way less than she could compared to my nekomata team

Zmm, could u make a progression order video. How to prioritize character upgrade prio, at what lvl to cap before making team 2. And is it safe to lvl up a b rank w-weapon while i get access to a rank ones?
Tldr: Priorities are stun > attack = anomaly > support, Ben should be upgraded based on what teams you use, stop when team 1 is in the level 40-50 range, and b-rank wengines can be good but it's better to get the craftable ones
Stun characters get an INSANE boost from getting leveled up, since they get access to higher levels to their daze multipliers and as the daze multipliers increase so do their effectiveness, anomaly and attack characters are in the same priority bracket cause they're both damage dealers, it just depends on what stats you'd rather focus on, but until more anomaly characters get released attackers are gonna get the edge over anomaly for now, and supports are effective at lv 1, so it's mostly that you want to upgrade their important skills (the ones that give their buffs) than just having them leveled up, and again, Ben shoukd be upgraded based on whether you have Grace Koleda or Soldier XI, with Koleda being preferred as they have direct synergy
The level of your teams shouldn't be too far below the recommended level of the stage you're using but you can mostly get away with having your characters being level 40, 45, 50 and everything in-between
Now, for the b-rank wengines, they're useful if you don't have many a-rank ones, but in that case you should seriously prioritize the craftables as they could help you out tons, I don't know every wengine effect off the top of my head so you will want to read the descriptions to figure out what works best

As a nekomata main, im very excited for jane doe and seth (both are physical units, anomaly and defense respectively, (a koleada/ben type thih with them as well it seems), these two should prove very useful for nekomata.

Ofcourse Ellen would look better, cuz she's very button mashing-friendly, while dps like S11 is the opposite and requires you not having skill-issue, which is pretty clear from the video
Clarify or you look like an idiot. What "wrong combo", lmao? He missed like 3 enhanced BA. Very funny you mention Ellen because the woman has an actual combo, unlike S11, whose entire difficulty comes from maintaining that BA chain, which you can half circumvent from her skills and chains anyways. AND this is a calculation taken from best performance, not a random run. You can't even clarify a single constructive thing, except throwing around your vague buzzwords.

I lost my 50/50 and still managed to get her. 1.0 has enough currency to get her even if you fail.

@@nitogame at max pity? i lost 50/50 to lycaon and it seems impossible to get new summons after interknot 30. dailies barely give enough and im only 10 pulls in after losing 50/50. i dont see myself getting an extra 80 summons in the next couple days
At soft pity both times so 70-ish. Only thing I bought was the pass but it's been only like 9 days so it didn't help much. More stuff to do unlocks later on. You get flooded with commissions and challenges and there was quite a lot from Shiyu Defense. Just keep playing.
Conclusion. An Ether character is going to be the next banner character. I am going for her. I also have maxed Soukaku. I am also getting hard pity ellen. So I might as well wait for the next banner and skip ellen. Besides, I have no energy or resources for a new character right now. I am building soukaku, rina, nicole, anby, soldier 11, and corin.

Well technically as not everyone have koleda or lycaon this its a little unfair for both tbh... I have lycaon so i pulled Ellen, but dont have neither soldier 11 neither koleda so i cant compare, but what i know is that Anton have a way to maintain his burst mode infinitely with his E1 and that make it an amazing dps unit

Just pull the standart banner, at some point it will give you more S ranks, and as i said if you have anton E1 go and check sweetily channel, she have a guide on how to make anton an amazing DPS that can be in certain situations as good as a S rank
I still need to figure out Ellen, I guess I'm just playing her wrong or something. I have had much better luck with Soldier 11, and personally would rate her higher than Ellen, but it could be having Soldier 11 for longer and being more familiar with her attack patterns, perhaps.
Ellen really wants her ice charges and using her final combo which has an insane 1.1k dmg multiplier at the end.
Her ex special 1 leads to the final basic hit too as does her special 2nd. She also desires soukaku due to ice dmg% + flat attack.

funny i pulled soldier 11 c1 at my first 40 pulls she is not that good as the rest so i said she sucks sadly + i have a feeling she will get powercreaped soon she is like diluc in genshin probably she will end up like him now but i hope not at least so soon
