John I did but your plans abs they were a great help. Thanks again
Just bought one hell ya. Love your work. This is going to be first time build for me.
watched this video over and over. finally woke up and bought it this morning. bought plywood and poplar yesterday from lumber yard. starting the build today!
Here I learned a trick from a kid after 35 years and never gave it a thought. I love the corner blocks. Those corner block aesthetics truly set these cabinets off. Really good job kid. You earned a subscriber...
Dean Wood haha thanks a lot I really appreciate it!
I like the corner blocks nice touch
agreed, nice touch and that little extra piece really adds to the build. pinky toe saver hahaha.
@@dominicbianco3826 First thing I noticed. Really draws the eye. Nice.
because of your comment, he has earned another subscriber.
Oh! Love the toe kick. Simple design that is easy to clean around.
Me encantan tus trabajos... Tu estilo, limpio, ordenado, detallista.. veo una y otra vez tus videos.. te felicito, un saludo desde Chile 🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱🇨🇱
The toe kick detail is brilliant
Would love to see the build plans, thank you.
This is the first video of yours that I've seen, I have to say that you are indeed a skilled mechanic. Your idea for the toe kick has actually found its way on a project of mine, so thank you for the idea. I always try to find different designs to use and this one clicked right away. I look forward to seeing what else your minds eye creates.👍
Steven Rago that’s awesome! Thanks for watching man!
watched this video over and over. finally woke up and bought it this morning. bought plywood $36 per 4x8 and poplar $1.75 sq ft yesterday from lumber yard. starting the build today!
Awesome!!
Love the corner blocks on the toe kick!
Imagine being able to just build any furniture you see instead of buying it 😮I'm just getting into carpentry myself, built a pump house and deck so far 👍
New twist in the tow kick I like it alot actually, thanks for sharing
lionelhernandez34 thanks for watching!
It definitely adds a nice little touch, of the kick panel
Nicely done. Love the pocket holes.
That toe kick look is absolutely brilliant, love it! Will absolutely be using it on my projects in the new year. Thanks from the UK!
Thanks for watching!!
Wish he was from the Uk could buy products from store we have here. I'm so impressed
Wow, looks awesome. Your work is amazing! Love the video. Oh and the toe kick mod is a great addition
Thank you!!
An awesome video John, you made it look so easy. Fantastic Job and great looking vanities as well.
Wooow!!!! Pretty good job man I love it
Great vid, incredible skills!! Love the little tip about putting the clamp on the diagonal to square up before screwing too!
Thanks for watching!!
to help keep the foam insulation on the table when cutting down the full sheets, use some of the command strips for hanging posters. They're removable and hold well enough to keep it from slipping around.
Love your modified 45 degree toe kick corner returns.
Beautiful! I really like the toe kick, I've never seen it like that before!
Marissa Andersen thank you!!
You make it look easy! However, you also do a great job explaining everything. And you show some tips and tricks that are absent in other woodworking videos. Thanks! Subscribed.
Thanks a lot i appreciate it!!
Toe kick is awesome whole build is sweet nice job
Thank You!!
Love the quality of work and your attention to detail!
Thank you! 👍🏽
Love the toe kick!
Thanks for showing the steps clearly & concisely with shortcuts to completion that don't compromise the structure of the cabinet! Your finished project looks great.
My family has many custom woodworkers, including myself, & there are way too many DIY shortcuts that end up being horrible long term "solutions".
Absolutely true! Thank you!!
All the "thumbs down" votes are actually cabinet makers who are upset they didn't think of half of the tips John uses in his videos. Nice work, John. I learned a thing or two and am glad I watched. Subbed as well. Looking forward to your other videos. (used to work with a cabinet maker and you have some good tricks of the trade that even I haven't been taught).
Haha wow that’s crazy to hear! I appreciate it!! 👍🏽
I agree with you.... I am a cabinet maker and was impressed with all the little measuring and placement techniques he uses... end result is great! nice work. Not everything has to be hand milled walnut and hand cut joinery to be a good build.
Love the toe kick! I’ll be stealing that idea 😂
Awesome job! All you need now is some dust collection for your DIY tracksaw.
Love your build. Wish you lived next door. I have a sewing room calling out for your expertise. Nice shop.
Haha thank you!! 👍🏽
Let me start by saying that this was easily one of my favorite videos on building a cabinet. Simple, paced nicely, explained very well and the little extras were amazing. Just subscribed and can’t wait to see what else you’ve done. I. Also curious about the tops, where did you get the countertops from? Links?
Purchased locally at Menards, couldn’t find a link, sorry!
Looking to build a vanity for our ensuite and came across this. Thanks for documenting your process!
I like that toe kick. Never seen it done like that.
OMG your attention to detail is second to none! Love the toe kick and the handy tips for aligning and installing doors and drawers!
Thanks for watching!
After watching this I feel like I can make my own vanity...thank you!
The Woodworker's Journey awesome!! Thanks for watching!!
John McMahon drill, circular saw, Kreg jig. $100. There’s always cheaper/different ways to do things.
@@JohnBuildsIt And a good quality square. Everything turns out right and falls into place if you get it all square right from the very beginning. And lots of clamps or you will have to wait a few hours in between drying times if you only have a few.
Dude this video was so much fun from beginning to end! Thanks for making it John!!!
Wow, these are amazing! I do like that 45-degree piece on the corners of the toe kick. I think it adds to the design and makes for a more classy look.
Nunya Bizness I agree! Definitely a more custom look. Thanks for watching!
Two things:
1) I wish I had a garage like that.
2) I wish I had all those tools in a garage I wished I had in #1.
I wish I could just *find* the things in my garage... :)
me too and #3 the skills to build this stuff! Oh and #4, no fear of table saws and and routers.
I've got to say, John. Amazing job. I love how simple this build is, yet gorgeous, elegant, and truly would look great in any bathroom.
Yep, new subscriber here!!!
Romeo's Relics thanks so much! 👍🏽
Great video. Thank you. I feel much more confident that I’ll be able to complete my build now after using a few of your tips.
Awesome!!
I'm in the tile trade and watching you reminds me of how much I enjoy my line of work and your attention to detail 👌
Thanks a lot man!
What about the tops? Who made them? Nice build and the toe kick is a nice design
Van Sage we bought them from Menards!
Looks awesome. Looks like Rigid sponsored the build, haha!
Mech Master I wish lol too much free advertising huh!
John Builds It how do you like your rigid jointer? I do a lot of cabinet work also and really need one for the rough cut lumber I use to build the doors with but haven’t been able to decide on brand yet. I’ve looked at rigid and it seems like it’s well built but have never used a rigid yet.
Thank you and take care
Don Pfeiffer I have no complaints with it, works perfect and the price was right! I’ll eventually upgrade, not because it’s poor quality, just because it’d be nice to have a bigger one for a lot of the stuff I make
Awesome video! I'm going to try to built it myself. Thank you very much
Super excited idea 💡😆
Dang, I watched this to see you make those integrated concrete counter/sinks! Where's THAT video???
Carole Warner haha they’re marble. BUT I will be doing a video next on pouring concrete kitchen counters!
That toe kick looks really nice.
Midnights & Mornings thank you!! 👍🏽
Man this was a bad ass video. Thank you !!! Love how they came out and especially the toe kick corner.
Thank you! 👊🏼
I really enjoyed watching this.
Thanks for taking the time to produce the content!
Thank you!
His wife must be madly in love with him....and his skilz!
Good job explaining things. Too often "how to" videos assume that everyone knows why you did something.
JoetheOK thank you!! 👍🏽
@@JohnBuildsIt The tools list is great. Any chance of adding a materials list? I love the eye catching title "2 for the price of half" but I'd like to price what you used and I'm not even a full beginner yet.
Великолепно, просто великолепно!

14:12 Very nice tip. Thanks for showing.
And yes, I really like the 45 degree toe kick addition.
Thank you! 🙌🏼
You are a true craftsman. Great job! I look forward to when I get my house built and I can get back into the shop again!
Thank you I appreciate that!
I just lost any confidence I may have had in being a man after watching this video

Jim Alexander thanks for watching!! 👍🏽
I really like this video. You’re very clear and easily understood.
I need to get a set of those kreg clamps. Oh and I love the toe kick!!!
Thanks for the video!
Christopher Muro thank you! The clamps are a little pricey, but they sure do help. Thanks for watching!
Wow, I've seen some videos on builds but your attention to detail is spot on. Great workmanship!
Thanks a lot! 🙌🏼
Nice work! I like how simple, yet specific you explain your processes through your projects. Thanks!
Thanks for watching!
Another great build buddy!! Keep it up! I learn from you every time!! 👊🏼
Brandon Magallon thanks a lot, love hearing that!
the angled toe kicks look great - substantial looking. Great video!
JB Marker thank you! 👍🏽
Great video. I happen to have the same table saw and the portable router table you have. You might be pleased to know that if you drop the plastic legs from the table, you can mount it perfectly in the table saws right side (the fence floats right over it as well). It provides more surface for the saw and serves as a convenient "small shop" feature.
Love your idea for the toe kicks! Video was easy to follow and well explained. Thank you!
Jonathan Popp thank you I appreciate it!
Very nice work! Love that toe kick detail. Thanks for posting!
bobthetrooper7 thank you!! 🙌🏼
The toe kick detail is a very nice touch. Well done!
Thank you!
That was awesome! Thanks so much for sharing 👍🏻
Ahmad Khalil thank you!!
Love how you build these and how you describe the build really great job. Also love the workbench nice and simple but let’s of room to build everything
Thanks man!
This is excellent! Great work and it was extremely helpful despite my already "knowing" how to build one. Definitely keeping this for reference as I plan to build a couple vanities soon
Awesome! Thanks for watching👍🏽
one of the best videos I have seen in a while. Great job with your explanations. I plan to use a few of your tips in the video when i rebuild my bathroom vanities.
Richard McInnis awesome!! Thanks for watching!
Wow these turned out great. You make it looks so damn easy. I love watching custom stuff like this being built. And the corner pieces for the toe-kick add a final custom touch. Great choice with the solid surface top and sink.
Thanks a lot!!
John Builds It you’re welcome. I wish o had your skill set. This looks fun to do and so rewarding. Beats the hell out of working in an office all day.
Very nice. Thank you. I like the 45° toekick.
