Tactics Ogre : The Knight of Lodis A+ Ending

- This is the secret ending that I have gotten recently after I've tried to complete the game under 25 hours.
The entire adventure was tedious so I didn't record down every single thing because I have already uploaded a walkthrough before.
What could have been improved on for my previous walkthrough will be to spend less time on training, (Because for this new try I've done, I didn't bother to go training for my troops.)
For the split of team to fight Angel's Headstone/Ostrea Castle. I did it by only having 6 people per side. Having a balance of Phy/Magical attack force.

You either die a hero, or you live long enough to see yourself become the villain.
Most finished The Knight of Lodis disappointed that it was not tied in any way to Let Us Cling Together. However, earn the A+ ending, and you hear the familiar music, see the iconic eyepatch-wearing villain, and your jaw drops to the floor...a reward well worth the effort.
Actually, just the A ending will work since you get to see Alphonse/MC drop his name and get the name "Lanselot Tartare"

For me it was the opposite. I played Knight of Lodis first. But I was all "...Why does that theme sound familiar." and when Lans appeared, I just was all "...I *Swear* I know this guy somewhere." and it bugged me until chapter 4, I was all "WHERE do I know this guy from?!"
Then you fight him in Banisha-I mean Barnicia and it highlights him... and he has Anbicion. The name was different but the icon matched. Eyes widen, jawdropped, and I pointed at the screen and said "THAT'S HIM!!! THAT'S ALPHONSE!!!"
then as the battle went on I was all "...ah crap the A ending was canonical. :( "
He is basically the Big Boss of the Ogre series.

O: never expected this ending, my god u gave me chills... even after so many years from finishing this game...

I played this game first. Then I played the PSX tactics Ogre. When they mentioned Lans Tartare, I thought "...why does that name seem familiar" and then when we actually SAW Lans I said "...This guy seems so familiar." Throughout his appearances, it was bugging me because I KNEW I knew this guy from SOMEWHERE but I couldn't put my finger on it.
Then you fight him, it highlighted him as "Defeat the leader" and it showed his sword as Anbicion. I recognised that icon. I gasped, pointed at the screen, and said "THAT'S HIM! THAT'S ALPHONSE!"

"....awww this meanst he A ending was canon."
This is so god damn cool, I wish you could play the whole game with his sprite looking like this afterwards.
I played Let Us Cling Together first, and when it was revealed that Alphonse is Lans Tartare, I was dumbstruck.
For me, it was the opposite. I played Knight of Lodis first. Every time Lans Tartaros was onscreen, I kept saying "...Where do I know you from..."
It just kept bugging me.
"Seriously, why are you so familiar? I feel like I know you from somewhere."
Then there is the fight with him at Barnicia. It highlighted him, I recognised the icon of his sword. I pointed at the TV, jawdropped, and said "THAT'S HIM! THAT'S ALPHONSE!"
Then a minute later...
"...Awww that means the 'A' Ending was canon."
That's a nice rendition of the black knights theme.
And the Villian is born.
Even as a Villain though, he wasn't totally evil, he just had a rather nihilistic viewpoint; unlike Barbas and Martym who were totally crazy. The one Dark Knight I we don't quite get to understand is Andoras... shame.
I just hope Matsuno finds it in himself to continue the story... hopefully his new phone game sells well.
Andoras is actually quite fleshed out (at least in the remake). On one hand, he sells out his entire nation and its people in order to gain a position of power in the Lodis Empire. On the other hand, his desire for revenge against Lodis stemming from his guilt percolates over time. He sees a chance to use his position to strike back against Lans and his inner circle when Barbas and Martym offer him the opportunity.
Allying with those two is obviously regrettable, but Andoras has too many regrets on his soul to care.

Does Let us cling together introduce mounted troops into the game? Does Alphonse fight using the skeleton horse or something?
I mean Lans not Alphonse. Both are same anyway.
Horses are in cutscenes only.

@@TheHeavieKiwie yeah, I remember the chochobos from final fantasy tactics. But as cool as it was, you didn't really gain enough for the use of a party slot.

He didnt quite get the happy ending, with his girlfriend dying and all. I think it can drive most to insanity.

oh how i wish a new TACTICS OGRE comes out... prequel or continuation.. the hell even a remake of lordly calibre will be hype
My theory after playing both games is that after all the shit that happened because of the spear in KoL he followed the Pope's order to bring him all weapons of divine origin and almighty power so that they cannot be used in wars, he became nihilistic and lose his faith in humanity and he came to the conclusion that if those weapons were not in the vaults of the Pope they would lead to humanity's downfall so blinded by this thought he justifies every crime and injustice he commits by a greater good, eventhough he only works for the Pope's greedy ambitions.

As someone who hasn't played the other games I want to know, why does the MC of this game turn evil? He never did anything close to evil during the game.
