      I was thinking the same. In all the other videos I've seen, and especially Senbonzakura, they're real quick to cut out whatever isn't being visible by the camera at the time, and I say Senbonzakura especially, cause them damn trees were cutting in and out constantly. Makes no sense having a city that big. Asking if any other videos use it, maybe Gigantic Girl, but I find it doubtful.

    • @Trecherousbeast
      @Trecherousbeast Před 4 lety +22

      @@vitoguido3258 there's a point near the end where the camera moves around Luka, and you can see the city around her, so I think they just wanted to make extra sure that there weren't any holes you could see. The buildings are mostly flat objects, so they were strategically placed, and they don't take up a lot of space

    Some are wondering what’s the point of the town when only a little portion of it appears in the PV.
    Listen, in 3D they create more space than actually needed for many reasons and I’ll list some of them.
    Note: stage or map is what they call the place where the model (character) will be in.
    1- Bigger map/stage = reusable
    2- Camera angles
    3- Avoid errors
    4- larger border lines
    It’s kinda like how video games have this large area but you can’t go there because of an invisible wall that stops you from passing

  • @lyriccomments2897
    @lyriccomments2897 Před 5 lety +6

    *my theory as to why the stages are so huge in this:*
    *These stages were likely used in another game.*
    The stage used in AfterBurner can also be found in Sonic and the Sega All Stars Racing Transformed and I think in the most recent After Burner game(most recent? idk... I know it's a newer one)
    The only difference in the after burner sets from the different games is that in Project Diva there's a stage and microphone stand(the one meiko sings/dances on) on the airplane runway, and there's also a giant "39" on the runway as well
    That same after burner set is also in Sonic Adventure 2 in that Harbor stage(the stage you play after Amy breaks Sonic out of prison...the one with the space rocket) though different graphics and some slight changes here and there to fit into the gameplay style of that SA2
    *Sega loves to reuse stuff*
    *For instance,*
    Miku was given the same exact outfit as Ulala from Space Channel 5(the white top with white skirt, white boots/pumps, and pink hair, she even has Ulala's blue blaster gun)
    Miku's purple outfit that is for that online game addicts song is from another game as well that's worn by another character with, like straight black hair or something
    Miku also has a Sonic outfit. While it's not EXACTLY like Sonic(because it's a track suit) it has Sonic's exact head(hair/quils), shoes and gloves(even a gold ring which is on the zipper(?) I think)
    Miku also has another outfit which design is based off the same designs(more or less basically. just Miku's outfit fits her color scheme) from this anime which also has a video game(I'm talking about the outfit that looks kind of robotic. I think the skirt looks like it's made of computer vents or something.... i'm not sure how to describe it. It also has a helmet with like 2 or 3 lines of glowing light on it and a white CD player backpack thing with a gold CD in it...it's an unpopular outfit to most people :/... no one seems to like it very much)
    ....and of course we all know how Sega loves to recycle green hill zone in all the sonic games
    *so I really wouldn't be surprised if these stages were used in other games*
    There was a game I played when I was younger that was for the dreamcast(I think). It was like a cop(?) shooter type game that looked similar to this(of course in old dreamcast graphics though)
    I think the game was also at a Chukee Cheese at the time but it only allowed you to play for like 180 seconds or something till you had to put in more coins(?)🤔
    Idk... I mostly remember sucking at the game and not being able to make it past the outside of the building or the beginning part of the lobby everytime I played lol😅
    I wonder if that game has been remade recently and they used that for this game since it fit what they were going for and allowed them to not have to use more time/resources to make new stages from scratch for this pv
    *I wouldn't have ever put that theory together had I not seen this video though*
    when she came out the elevator and I was able to see that giant lobby it brought back the memories of playing that game. I brushed the thought off though until she walked outside and I saw the city... then I was like "hmm🤔" lol

    you know... I gotta admit...
    every upload of yours like this, makes me wonder why the heck this hasn't been done before??
    it's like the acapella vocaloid channel where they seperate the vocals from the music track and upload just the isolated vocals(which makes it perfect for making mixes, remixes, extended versions, singing a duet with the vocaloids, playing and instrument along with the vocaloid singing the song... )
    or even the channels that upload project diva x videos with just one camera angle (which makes it perfect for tracing the motions and learning the dance, seeing how things move in the background throughout the video... )
    or the other vocaloid channel that made that Miku acapella Katy Perry-Firework video that is based off the idea of other acapella channels where the people make the the music and beat completely with their voice and sing along to it and there's like 9 videos of them playing at the same time
    or that other vocaloid channel that has vocaloids singing along together like a quartet to classic sonic music(which is 8 bit or 16 bit or something like that which vocaloids can easily recreate with their voices...they stopped uploading years(?)ago unfortunately :( but somebody really needs to do something like this with more classic video games songs! I wants some vocaloid Zelda!)
    They're all really amazing video ideas that seem kind if obvious. Like they're all video ideas that you THINK people would've thought to makes AGES ago, but haven't
    why!? is the vocaloid fandom slacking or what!?
    when people think of vocaloid things to upload onto CZcams their minds typically navigate towards instrument covers, vocal covers, speed draw/paint/craft, game pv's, game pv's in different outfits/stages, gameplay, original music, instrumentals, and mmd stuff
    The vocaloid fandom is a very creative bunch. The future of vocaloid kind of relies on us all being creative enough to continue to make content for it(since vocaloids can't make it for themselves unfortunately). Despite being a creative bunch, I feel like there's not as many different video ideas coming along as there probably could be
    other channels I like is that vocaloid channel that revolves around vocaloid news(theres not really anything else like it and not many ways to get that information unless your following multiple articles and multiple official company pages/accounts religiously to be able to know all the upcoming information
    another channel I think is really interesting is the vocaloid channel that has the vocaloids talking. it combines and interesting kind of animation, that isn't mmd, with the vocaloids talking and going on about their day. It's basically like watching a vocaloid cartoon series and the videos are of a good length and entertaining
    I can't wait to see what the future has in-store as more vocaloid channels arise and bring more new and interesting ideas to the table 😊

    Fuck me the stages are massive. I know nothing about 3d animation so excuse me because my language is going to be very crude but is this entire 3d space stored in the game when you play it? Like when you load each stage, are all these details rendered in real time? Because that would be fucking crazy. I have no idea how I assumed the PVs were animated, in fact I really didn't think about it at all, but seeing it in action blows my mind away.
    Also, watching these videos just feed my theory that the vocaloids are just performers who assume a different character in each song. They perform exactly like how an actor would, and without the greenscreens and clever camera tricks it would look all out of place and bizarre, wouldn't do a good job at conveying the intended messages and overall story. But once all the post-editing magic is added, and the camera angles have been cleverly utilised in a very deliberate way, it suddenly becomes a cohesive and comprehensive story. Don't know if that makes any sense tbh I'm just writing this to express my thoughts but yeah haha

    I hate that I can't accept that VOCALOIDs are not real human beings, and so this just seems like a wacky behind-the-scenes music video type of deal. Like Luka is going to start doing audio commentary over the whole thing about just how _funky_ it was to come out of that elevator!

    Hi! Do you use audio from a different source? It sounds so clean and beautiful compared to all other Project DIVA videos, karin's channel for example. And this is true for all of your "how does" videos!

    I wonder if those models are used anywhere else, the city and building are way too big

    • @Eenkin
      @Eenkin Před 5 lety +2

      Not to my knowledge. None of the other songs in F 2nd uses this type of city. So unless Sega was planning to use another song with it done in the future, it does seem excessively modeled for areas that can’t be seen.

    They didn’t necessarily build the city ‘big’ they placed assets that will fill the white space you might see on the pv and it might feel off why it feels like there’s something missing
