By all means do not fly united to dubai it's a freaking disaster. Last mites cancelation, food is decent, seats are outdated, and service is horrible.
United is using their B777-200 for EWR-DXB route

Last time I flew to Rome from EWR - the dessert was a cookie.
Yeah not the best decision to use an older aircraft on this route especially given people will be connecting onto Emirates. They'll need to at least try and increase both hard and soft product so customers have as seamless an experience as possible!
UA’s latest hard product in J (Polaris)is better than EK’s J. While I agree the food and the Service on EK indeed does outshine UA.
UA is using the 77E with its latest J product and not the 789 because the 77E Can carry substantially more pax and cargo than a 789 on that route…

Think about it, you get off the UA b777, then board the super luxurious Emirates A380. Wow!!!
