For those who might be asking, why is Jake angry at Chris killing Wesker?
Well, Jake wanted to be the one who killed Wesker, and he wanted answers from Wesker as to why he abandoned Jake and his mother and why he did the things he did in early Resident Evil titles. Now with Wesker dead, Jake can't get his answers and can't taste sweet revenge.
He wasn't mad at Chris, he was mad at himself for not killing Wesker sooner.

He was not mad at him because he wanted the kill. Him being angry with Chris was because he robbed him the opportunity of meeting him and gaining some type of closure. it’s common for children with absentee parents to have a sense of curiosity - you’re still going to wonder who, and why, and what, and in Jake’s case, he heard all about this supposedly “great guy” growing up from his mother, who asked him not to be angry at Wesker and constantly reassured him that somewhere out there, Wesker was thinking of them and still loved them. He’ll never get to confront him about not being there for them, for being an asshole, for trying to destroy the goddamn planet and being a maniac. like Chris said, he’s still his father, and he’s never going to know him as anything other than a file in a database and a monster from the recounts of those he’s hurt.

I think that he grown up with a confused mind because his father wasnt present. So at this point of the story, jack were in jail for 6 months, hearing from Carla Radames a lot of things about his father, getting him more confused. Purely emotions of a whole life.

Было бы круто, если бы капком в итоге всё обставили так, чтобы этим Крисом в итоге оказался HUNK (потому что в некоторых играх где было видно лицо HUNK, он был похож на Криса из седьмой части), таким образом они бы вернули одного из крутых героев и при этом объяснили почему Крис выглядел не как Крис которого все любят и знают. Хотя мне не нравится прическа Криса во всех частях после пятой, она какая-то прилизанная и разглаженная как у пятиклассника, в пятой части у него прическа была как у персонажа из аниме, и она ему подходила.

Also big continuity error. When he punches the wall inside the osprey at the end angry about Ethan's death, the helicopter should have been destroyed. That punch has destroyed and moved countless boulders. Helicopter wouldn't have stood a chance.

This is the thing though about the virus it can mutate to its environment so I think there could be a good cameo opportunity there to bring Wesker back but don't give him a world dominion vibe give him a vibe similar but not the same to Mayuri Kurotsuchi off Bleach or Orochimaru of Boroto: Naruto Next Generations maybe more Mayuri then Orochimaru they are more in the pursuit of science to see how far it can be prodded so to speak they do bad things but at the same time do good things in the long run for the society they are in I could see that storyline fitting well with Wesker

Had the survival horror crybabies not cried and confused the hell out of Capcom, we would have gotten the REAL RE7 with Jake, who was an awesome character. That post credits scene implied that he was in some middle Eastern country being a vigilante against BOWs like Dante is against demons.
what I found funny about this scene is that you can tell chris had no intention of getting out alive. it was he like pretty much planned on having Jake kill him.

I don't think they needed it at this point. Ethan Winter storyline is pretty good, enough now that I don't see the need for a massive plot bomb to happen anytime soon.
Perhaps considering there's a huge time skip due to Rose being grown up, Chris dying somewhere there or thereafter is more appropriate in my eyes than anywhere near RE6 timeline. Just my opinion.

Jake is angry at Chris because Chris basically robbed him of his opportunity for closure. During his childhood his mother wouldn't stop saying that Albert was a good man and that wherever he was he still loved them, yet still left them behind.
Like most children with absentee parent(s), Jake wanted answers from Wesker, why he did what he did, why he left them behind, did he ever look back or did he completely forget about them etc.
By killing Wesker, Chris effectively took any hope for any kind of answers from him. Now all he will ever know from his father will be from hear-say by people who hated him or from some files, all of which only depicts him as an inhuman, unfeeling monster. Despite Jake's existence being proof that at some point, Wesker had a relationship, however brief it was, and it was long and developed enough that the woman firmly believed in Albert's love for them even after he left.
In some twisted way, Wesker protected Jake and his mother, knowingly or not, by leaving them. He had too many enemies and had already done too much harm for him to have any meaningful long-term relationships without putting them in danger.

Re8 is not prequel. It is sequel of resident evil game series and is canon.
nobody said it's a prequel so let me clarify my comment, in RE8 near the ending where Chris stumbles upon Mother Miranda's research it is shown that Ozwell E. Spencer (one of the founders of Umberlla) was inspired by Mother Miranda's research and was also an apprentice to her thus making RE8 somewhat of an origin to Umbrellas research.

Depending on how Capcom handles it, Wesker might be leading the new Umbrella like he wanted. He is intouch with umbrella mercenaries in 2016 canonically so wouldn't be all that suprising to have him get this far

@@sadnew3271 I liked Jake. Though I thought the whole thing of him being mad at Chris for killing Wesker was stupid. I think his character has potential. I would’ve rather they brought him back than throw in this new guy Ethan who I don’t care for.

Put yourself in his position. Blood is blood, doesn't matter what he did, he was still his father. Logic and emotions don't mix well. Plus he was probably mad at Chris for doing what he wanted to do himself.

Me encanta esta escena. Independiente de la crítica negativa a este juego, a mi me encantó. Quizás no era la jugabilidad que todos esperaban, pero el drama y las historias entrelazadas de los personajes le dio un gran toque. La depresión de Chris y sus ganas de dejar de existir fue algo que me sorprendió mucho en su momento, y a día de hoy lo sigue haciendo.
Si yo también disfrute esta escena cuando jugué esta entrega por primera vez, si te hace sentir esa tensión de lo que va a pasar pero me hubiera encantado que Leon y Helena también estuvieran presentes para ver que hubieran hecho.
Why did Chris bring up the obvious point that his father was about to end the world? Why would he state that Jake had every reason to kill him... LIKE WTF?!
John Fate even though Albert was a piece of scum, his son grew up without ever having any father figure around him, and it has clearly affected him later in his life. You could argue that Jake would have been used by Albert for his twisted schemes, but we will never know if that would have been the case.

Is meaningless how Jake grew up. if anybody is to be blamed is HIS OWN FATHER, not Chris for saving the world from a madman. Again, makes no sense. Chris was fully justified in killing that guy. The moment Jake put a gun to his head the following line should have been something like "don't go there kid, don't follow in your father's footsteps or you will end the same way" with Chris aiming his own weapon at that dipshit.
John Fate I do agree that scripting was a little weird, I think he should have told him personally what Albert was like, but a bit of him probably knew that he wasn’t going to pull the trigger, but he needed to have some closure about what happened to his father
I concur, Jake's dad was an asshole (cool villain though). It would be like if Hitler was survived by his son (who was good), being angry at the USA for his father's death/defeat.

Reminds me of DMC4 with Nero either screaming in rage or crying in every other cutscene. And then they proceeded to make him the most powerful demon in DMC5 because....."he's Vergil's son". Yeah, sure. Okay. Ruined the franchise for me.
