My reverend/counsellor/teacher showed me Tears For Bobby, tried showing it to my parents as I was in a similar situation, but they wouldn't watch it. Sometimes families don't come around, and that's ok too, because you eventually find the people that you deserve to have in your life stick around, and they're what counts. 😊
I love the TV show shameless but Prayers for Bobby is one of the best true story movie and heart felt which I couldn't keep from crying. There is so many of our kids killing themselves of something they was born as and yet there parents can't accept them for who they are still today!

However, if the biological cause is discovered and can be tested for in-utero then will parents opt for abortions?
At my Catholic parish LGBT+s are *more that welcome.* We have our own ministry which receives $10,000/year from our parish (church) for outreach, educational programs, events at church, etc. I can proudly wear my LGBT+ shirts at Mass. *All are welcome!*
Why would you? They might 'need' to know you are gay, but why on Earth do you need to explain what you actually do in bed? Would you ask your mother if she gives your father oral?

I saw and own the movie, it would have been wiser to talk Bobby into coming out to his parents himself. I myself was outed out to my dad from one brother and my sister and the results weren't good. Also if they were supposed to have been nude and thus the mix up with the shoes. Then they set a record getting dressed especially with a button shirt as they came out way to fast for two guys who were suppose to be nude having sex and mixing up the shoes getting dressed.

As a homosexual I have to admit that this episode really offended me it makes it appear as if homosexuals have no problems with committing adultery and see nothing wrong with the committing adultery when the brother sits there and says that the guy has nothing to be sorry for he's totally wrong his brother was right the man is married he has kids he is not only committing adultery but he is also putting his family at risk a being a broken family if it ever was found out I may be gay but I know better than to agree to have sex with a married person I will not commit adultery I do not believe that if someone is married to someone else that they should be out there screwing somebody else and for this kid to sit there and say all this guy did nothing wrong to be sorry for cheating on his wife is very wrong if he's homosexual then you should have never gotten married to a woman and brought kids to into the world and he sure as hell shouldn't be screwing an underaged boy because the kid looks like he's about 16 so you also have that which yeah being his age and having sex with a minor is very wrong so yeah this episode really really offended me as once again it portrays that apparently homosexuals have no morals whatsoever oh here's a news flash yeah a lot of us do!
Cj davis Hello. It is funny, the age of consent is different in England. In the USA it is 18, over there it is 16. And, as I am sure you noticed from the title of the show, it is called “Shameless”. I watched the American version, and the characters did some crazy things. About the rest, it would be nice to follow one’s heart and marry who you want. But, I also know social pressures to conform are strong, ask any homosexual from a fundamentalist Christian family. Is Islam more forgiving, more open to homosexuality? That was the religion of the shopkeeper in the American version, and I think it was that way in this English version.

I don’t have much of a presence on here, but I have made a bit of a study of spirituality, certainly looking at liberal religion (Unitarian Universalism) and also Eastern spirituality (Hinduism, Buddhism, Taoism).
