I'm an absolute fan of Toyota. And I just love the fact that they are the leader of hybrid cars BUT they don't have any Hybrid Sport car, they stick with good recipes like we love. Toyota knows that Hybrids are good, but they don't want this in
their sport cars because it's killing the passion of a sport car. I just admire this brand

Having bought a '19 Accord with the same powertrain I have been very pleased. The engine is quite spunky when you want it to be, just goes about its business, quiet and smooth. I easily can get into the low 30's mpg around town and mid-forties cruising on the open road. Power delivery is quite linear but of course if you punch it at low revs there is a moment of turbo lag. But with peak torque coming in at 1,600rpm and extending out through the rev range, it has some oomph!

I have a 2017 Honda Accord Touring V6, and I absolutely love it! It has lots of power and comfort. For me I always knew Toyota is the most reliable all around car on average, but Honda has always got my attention with their reliable engines and sporty looks, both cars are great cars in my opinion. It basically comes down to what the buyer is looking for, so there’s no loser in this situation between two awesome and respected manufacturers.

The Accord has always been a bit more sexy and cool, and the Camry has always been more plain, boring and uncool. But the Camry is just so damn RELIABLE. The Accords are great, but I promise you that 9 out of 10 times that Accord will be in the shop before the Camry. I've owned both brands, and the Hondas give out way faster then Toyotas. But it's a weird problem, the Honda will have problems, but it still runs because of how well made everything is, whereas a Toyota rarely has serious problems besides routine maintenace.

Test drove Camry 4cyl xse and v6 ended up buying a brand new 2 liter 10 speed sport accord. Camry from driver seat less spacious. Infotainment and front dash very bland to me. Far as the ride I felt the 4 cyl was avg nothing that got me excited and the v6 was better but when I took the 2 liter accord out it was spacious and had more pep, better handling and interior and infotainment area alot better and up to date. This is not a jab at a Camry. Things I liked in the 4 cyl the PANO roof, AWD option, red seats and black wheels. Things I liked on v6 Camry the engine and highway ride was good. Better than the Honda? No accord very smooth cruising at 80 on highway felt like 50. Another thing I didn't like Toyota wanted 35k for the 4 banger xse. 200hp 35k and didn't want to negotiate was a turn off. Got my 2.0 10 speed accord almost 5k cheaper than the 4 cyl Camry and 10k cheaper than the Camry V6.

It depends what the customer likes, the Camry has space for adults in rear seat, the Accord has less room in rear seats for adults.
The Camry is quieter on highway than the accord. The 2.0 Turbo engine and 10 speed transmission in Accord is superior to the 2.5 liter and 8 speed transmission in Camry.
The Camry can be had in AWD the Honda does not.

Owned a Camry 2020 SE Nightshade then switched to a 2022 Accord EX-L followed by a trade in for the 2.0 Touring Accord. I sold the touring after two months. Both the EX-L and Touring were sold within 2500 miles. Although the Accord is a better looking vehicle, Camry is more reliable and presents a more refined ride on local and highway. While the Camry is bland, entry level vehicles offer a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder without a CVT. The interior of the Camry felt firm and something that would last a very long time. On my EX-L, my brake pedal had play within the first 1000 miles, the dash rattled, the aluminum trim on the front of car was already starting to fall off(no accidents/bumps) and the turbo lag was very noticeable. The 2.0 touring had issues with turbo lag, rattling dash, and extremely uncomfortable seats. I began to question myself and conducted more research. The dash rattle and uncomfortable leather seats are common issues with the Accord. While Hondas in the past have been reliable, many car enthusiasts are beginning to acknowledge the degrading quality of materials newer Honda models incorporate. I plan to go back to Toyota.

But tom, i think ill be going home with a camry, if we Get a good deal, Because im not rich and i do not want the drama and headache if something breaks. Long term ownership is what we are after for our starting family. Maybe in 5 years ill come back for a honda.

I test drove the Accord and Toyota and we purchased the Toyota based on a nicer ride..... That said they are both great cars. I bought the hybrid..... 52 miles per gal. Can't beat it and paid just over 30,000 for it.

Honda offers no turbo I4 that in any way matches the V6 they used to make or the Toyota's V6. Is there anyone here gullible enough to think that a turbo I4 will be as reliable as a NA V6 and if so do you also think you'll be able to stay out of boost enough to actually get the claimed MPG? Honda's interior looks and feels nicer but the car is still louder inside than a Camry. I shopped Accord V6 vs Camry V6 when I bought my '16. The Accord sounded like a window was cracked when it wasn't. Ridiculous. Back then the best Accord was the I4 Sport with a 6M. What a wonderful car for about 22G.

The Honda Accord Touring 2.0T wins hands down, even over the Toyota Camry XSE V6. Another vehicle that sits between them is the Mazda6. The rest of the under $40k midsize car segment are garbage. No one cares about Hybrid and EV's.

Before Honda dropped the manual trans for 2021 it wouldn’t even be worth a debate, that alone makes accord > Camry, but since they did? Still prefer Honda much more over Toyota when it comes to cars they’re typically better handling, higher revving, more fun to drive more sport less luxury. I’m sure the Camry rides better & is quieter inside.

I was in the same boat as you. I was stuck between the Accord 2.0t or the Camry xse v6 and i went for the Camry. i test drove the Honda first and really loved it. All the standard features and safety features. But once i test drove the V6 Camry I fell in love. I just feel like it was more solid on the road and i love V6's. not really a fan of the 4 cylinders. But the accords are very nice.

You can’t even name a single area where the Camry is better. You can’t even name a single Toyota that’s best in class. Not one. Nada. Nil. Zip. None. Go ahead. Try to. I’ll wait. Try all you want. Buy you’ll quickly see your logic is flawed
Meanwhile in accord you can easily name any area that’s class leading. Because it really is. It’s better than a Camry in every way possible to man:
    Exterior design
    Interior design
    Materials quality
    Fit and finish
    Luxury
    Technology
    Handling
    Performance
