i love the stories about random players as you pull their card. You make it interesting, plus your love for collecting comes through.
Anyone remember when Topps finest were all green? Man I loved Finest as a kid!
Same here. I worked in a card store from 1993-1996 when I was a teenager. When Finest first came out they had 2 refractors per box. When we would sell the packs from the first box, I would take the empty box home and take the UPC symbol and write a handwritten letter to Topps claiming I had bought a box and didn’t get any refractors. I was obviously lying, but they didn’t know that. They would send me 2 random refractors a few weeks later with an apology letter. I did this trick for a total of 3 or 4 times before they caught on. The best refractor I got was an Hakeem Olajuwon that I ended up trading for a box of Score Select. Man I wish I had that card today!
1994 were the all green cards I’m working on a complete set of Psa 10s for that year, tougher then you think to get in a 10 for the junk wax era

When I used to manage a "LCS" and a flexible cash flow would come in I'd immediately think of "what can we sell him now...now that he bought all of our Finest, Chrome, and SP?" ...As I call every distributor I can think of to replace it all. Times have changed.

I pulled a Trout Refractor auto out of this back in 2011. Sold it a few years ago for $900. I wish I had held on to it.

I’ve dealt with an expired redemption and they sent me something in its stead. So always worth a try to contact Topps to see if they’ll do anything.

Back in like 2004 I got like three packs of this generic off-brand re-packaged stuff from the local grocery store where the packs are just a hodgepodge of random company's cards, and inside one of them was a redemption card for an autographed basketball by Richard Hamilton that had expired two years before that. I sent it in anyway, and they actually sent the autographed ball back to me which was awesome. Still sitting in my bedroom closet.
I never thought I'd watch an unboxing vid and hear "butt sprayer", but here we are.

I recently visited my sister and her family and bought some heritage packs while there, and when I pulled a Tatis jr real one auto redemption I freaked out and was running around the house in joy yelling!! my sister, niece, and husband were like...”what the fuck just happened”!! They thought I had just won the lotto or something and when I said it was a baseball card they weren’t anywhere near as excited!!!

Love topps finest - I had good luck with 2019 by pulling two superfractors.
I’ve opened tens of thousands of packs and have pulled a nice amount of 1/1’s but never pulled a superfractor! I’ve actually never seen a super in person!!😂🤣🙇🏼♂️
