It just dawned on me you taught me to make my FIRST PONCHO, and so 100 ponchos later... Thank You! 💕. I made knitted, cotton dish towels using just the garter stich, it drapes over my cabinet door under the sink, it is my FAVORITE dish towel! I need to make more. Thank you for sharing.🌷

That wedding gown is gorgeous. I currently am working on the color block poncho sticking to the white, grey and black. I have never tried knitting amigurumi but I adore the Elderberry bunnies I see on Facebook and want to give one a try.

@@SparklyOne since the age of 13, so 55 years. Had chemo , had to stop for a while, but now back into it. Becoming a yarn hoarder!
How much of each color should I get? How much white, how much of 2 cc yarns.? Presents projects are chemo hats donated, making dragon tail wrap, loving that, easy. Can’t wait to make poncho. Thanks for what you do, and God bless.
Wendy, that's a long time! It's such a blessing to learn to knit or crochet and be able to bless others through our craft! My son and husband are both cancer survivors and I made lots of crocheted chemo hats for the chemo lab and I made lots of gifts for the nurses and patients, as we spent lots of time at doctor appointments and hospital stays. It sure kept my mind busy from worry (that and lots of prayers!). Hopefully you are finished with chemo and on your way to a full recovery! You will need between 600 and 800 yards of Size 5 Bulky weight yarn depending on how big you want to make it. I am a size 8 and I used 1 white, 2 cream color and 2 blue for the one that I'm knitting in my lap. The total yards = 705 Hope that helps! Praying for you! God bless you, too!
@@SparklyOne I have a brain injured son that I have been taking care of for 28 years. When he was hospitalised in 2020 and then Covid hit we have been lockdown since January 11 of 2020. Both of us have put on weight and I have residual effects from the chemo, so right now I am a woman of large stature but working and slimming down. I would be considered a 2X.
Wendy, you are a wonderful mom! I am so sorry for your struggles, but through it all you sound like your are a true warrior! My heart and prayers go out to you and your son. Hope to hear from you again on this knitting journey & hopefully encourage each other along the way. Hugs!
