I have made it to kyber 2 without ever putting a gl on defense, except when i had gls and my opponent didnt. I now have 5 gls and still dont put any of them on defense. Gls are overvalued, yes they are valuable but most gl teams have non gl counters. Jml loses to sith empire, lord vader loses to fennec bounty hunters, slkr can lose to cls rebels or jkl jedi, see loses to wampa, jabba loses to starkiller, rey loses to gas or starkiller. Jmk/cat and gl leia are the only ones i dont know if there is a non gl counter. My point being you will get more value out of having a large, well rounded roster and strong fleets than having a bunch of gls and nothing else besides gl reqs. If deciding between your 3rd or more gl and a legendary ship like executor, profundity, or leviathan, you will get much more value from the ship than the gl since there are so few fleets compared to GLs and GL level teams.
GLs are more valuable now with the GL currency, the more passive income the stronger your account will become
@@nonono9194 that's a good point I hadn't considered. Still I don't think the extra 300 gl currency a month is more valuable than a legendary ship with the current exchange rates, especially when you include the increase in daily fleet payout crystals from getting a better fleet. The other problem in my eyes is that the only thing actually "worth" buying with that gl currency is omicrons, at least statistically, the shards can be a nice little boost if you are close to a conquest unit but no one is going to be farming a unit from scratch with that currency alone.
@@kamehameharem definitely fleet is more important if you aren't getting #1 in fleet but once you are the GLs are definitely worth it for the omicron boost, once you're #1 in fleet you'll naturally rise up in GAC ranks especially as you chase more GLs, more GLs = more omicrons etc.
Once I got #1 in fleet I focused more on GLs now I'm in Kyber 4 at 2 yrs in, basically solely focusing on GLs now cause of the new event and maxing out all the remaining ABs I have, that extra passive income has been huge for my account not just crystals alone

@@gustavojimenez2236 my whole defensive strategy revolves around putting teams with the same counters in the front wall, and then a strong team that wanrs that same counter in the back wall. So for example in 3 vs 3 I'll put mon mothma, geos, cls, and then a couple strong teams like malgus and omi qgj to try and bait some gls out like see and jml. Then in the back I put cere,taron, kru a team that really wants to be countered by traya or see, but hopefully they have no traya or see left so they have to throw something unorthodox at it, which makes it much more likely they fail. Then for the top front wall I put my semi strong teams, nothing crazy but enough to make them have to fight for it. And then for fleets I put whatever my strongest 3 fleets are, so for me it's profundity, executor, and endurance with the leviathan fleet lineup. Since I have so much left for offense, all 5 gls, gas, jkr, jkck, jkl, etc. I almost always can full clear without an issue, normally I only struggle to clear fleets when my opponent has all 3 legendary fleets, so I put more of a defense in front of my own fleets and try to force a 2 zone clear only for both of us. The important thing about gac is having a strategy, whether that's just one super powerful team or baiting something out, use the resources out there, like .gg to scout your opponent and configure your defense and offense to them, don't be afraid of trying something different, you never know what might work. Like I never thought omi ackbar, omi leia, and kannan would be a gold defense team but it almost always takes 2 attempts to clear, probably because people underestimate it. But that 1 dropped battle has been the difference between winning and losing. Remember if both you and your opponent full clear, it comes down to who did it better, so every lost banner counts, for you and them. Some teams drain banners better than others, not even through dropped battles but just from removing protection from everyone and killing units. Like how omi qgj team will almost always drain banners thanks to jka aoe smacking hard, unless you bring a gl to counter the omi lead.
I can’t get around Leia having 4 unaccelerated farms for a newer player. That’s nearly a full team and a half you could finish in the time it takes to farm those 4.
Personally for me it’s Jabba, mods are too important for people to not take advantage of SR2 early
I think it is ok now for a new player to target Leia first because it's going to take them at least 8-12 months to get ANY GL, unless they bought into the Lightspeed packs. So slow farming the 4 marquees will probably take just as long as trying to farm up JKL from scratch... maybe even shorter because the marquees are all on farmable nodes now. OR the new player can farm everything up for Leia outside of those 4 marquees and then fast farm/relic them when they go accelerated in 10-12 months. The great thing is that Jabba is then a relatively quick farm after that.
@@ajvakarian the issue with that is Jabba does a lot more for your account than Leia SR2> EE bonus stage.
So in a similar time frame you’re getting comparable (I’d argue better) teams + the better PvE content
Something a new player should also consider is all the side farms to get these GLs. For example, as a new player, you need Wampa AND Hermit Yoda to unlock Jedi Knight Luke, then ultimately Jedi Master Luke. These are characters you can only get from TB battles or the stores, so it may take longer to farm them just based on that. Same thing with Lord Vader. To get him you need Padme and GAS, Padme requires 5 separatist characters and GAS requires something like 17 characters to unlock, that's basically another GL farm on top of the GL farm. I would suggest anyone who wants a GL look at the side requirements and decide which way is best for them (as mentioned in the beginning).
Leia Organa also has Endor Escalation Mythic Tier which gives Relic mats and Omicrons!
I think SLKR is the most underrated GL as he is arguably the second or third best GL on offense in terms of usefulness

I started an alt a bit ago, wish I actually wrote down when it was, but I looked at all the requirements and came to the same conclusion you did that leia seems like a really good first farm. Not only for how all of her requirements feed into JKL, JML and Jabba but also because the teams you farm to get her are core teams that you ahould have anyway. I'm about to get CLS as my first G13, I just finished the boussh leia farm and used her to get a 7* chewie so I'm starting the ewok shard farms now. I should be done with their shards before I'm finished gearing the characters I already have and they'll get me 3P0 to complete the CLS team.
Honestly I'm mostly concerned about getting a 7* ROLO. It's hard to find a guild that's strong enough to get lots of ROLO shards without being strong enough that they aren't doing Hoth TB anymore. And I reeeeealy don't want to spend my guild event currency on her.

My first GL was Luke and never regretted it and got it 2 years ago. Also have SLKR, Jabba, and now Rey.
I always get GLs based upon if I like them or their reqs. First one was SEE, next will be LV.
I was really hoping for JML to be my first Galactic Legend. Back in the day the requirements for JML was a good guidance to fix my roster, forcing me to finish CLS, to get JKL, to get Wampa,... finish GAS to put him in the squad arena JML team too...
But Lightspeed bundles put such a big Twist on my account that it became Rey of all people...
I still do Rey with a Jedi team mostly as i dont have the zetas on resistance.
Today i relic'd Cal Kestis and i think i would prefer to give Rey a UFU team. Ben and CAT are equally a year away for me sitting at 140/330..😅
My first was SEE, using him I could easily enough counter every GL at the time, Jabba and Leia hadn't been released at that point. JMK was my second
Currently farming for the Executor. Then going to finish with JKL. Was leaning on getting JML first, but now may shift toward Leia.

Okay, so I commented one post in swgoh fb group that SLKR is no longer best first GL. I also remember that you said stream that SLKR leads to other GL. So a guy replied to my comment and said that SLKR leads to everything and I laughed at him, because SLKR has only one common requirement that also SEE has and the other requirements for SLKR are only FO and Veteran Smuggler Han Solo + Finalizer. So I told him that Kylo's requirements lead to no other GL and its better to go Leia>Jabba>JML combo, because some of the requirements are common in this combo and you can get the next GL in this combo easier than farming like JMK or Rey requirements. This was way before LS bundles :D
Probably gonna take a long time for me to unlock one of these characters but good to know
I currently have JML and SLKR. I bought the Rey bundle and she's been brought up to speed. Currently I'm going for Leia because I flipped a coin between her and Jabba and it came up heads.
My first is going to be leia (January or February), then rey (a month or two later), then jabba (a few months later) and then JML (a month later). If I get the ships I will also get SLKR at the end of next year.
After that I'll eother go after SEE cause I'm looking to get executor or a new GL if it's valkorian, revan or thrawn with nightsister synergy.

You would think Master Luke is faster than Jabba after JKL, which is true, but only by one, sure you have all those extra characters for Jabba, but you’ll need Jedi Training Rey for Luke which will require you to farm a team for bb8 and a team for her, so Jabba only requires 1 more extra character than Luke after you get Jedi Knight Luke
So at the same point you’ll have to farm characters like Boushe and Krrsantan for Jabba, you’ll have to farm characters like Finn and Scavenger Rey for Jedi Master Luke who aren’t included in his list because they are needed for Jedi Training Rey, Jabba and Luke have basically an even number of extra characters you need to farm beyond JKL

My first was Rey, free to play, she is great if you know how to use , and you forget she needs Kylo, like Kenobi Ashoka. The problem with her is the bad ships. That is why my second gl was Executor. Because BB 8 I went for Kylo as second I also have him now. Ive being playing for 2 years. Do not know why everybody hate Rey so much. And the Zori team is great too
What GL is Leia good against and not good against? So far I've only been using her against JMK to climb arena, since arena is basically just an eternal field of JMKs all the way from 200 to top 10
Never mind that, just put her on defense and watch you opponent suffer.

The only consistent counter to Leia I have seen is JML JKR JKL JKC and Mace Windu

unlimited power starts when u have ultimate and when you dont have ultimate he is kinda useless
SEE and wat is good in the lower grand arena divisions. I remember taking out Kylo, Rey, and JML with no hesitation. Just remember to mod SEE correctly

Im at 1.5M gp with both revans reliced and malak but dont have a GL yet, a few days ago i have continued my farm for SLKR thinking imma get the ultimate immediately but WHAT??.. I'm shocked when you said you needed 10+ months for just an ultimate ability!

First farm should always be Executor. Fleet arena is the most important thing to prioritize at first. Executor transitions very well into SLKR. As such, I would say SLKR should always be your first GL, unless you have LS bundles that may change the priority to Rey, after Executor. I'm not sure why Nooch is ignoring fleet arena.
