😂 hey wildkard, Rugby is a strange game... I'm SA, but respect Antoine Dupont without a doubt..to me he is a brilliant play maker, game changer and great in his own right. People should stop this Antoine Du Pont is the greatest player ever talk until he can win a game for France at a wet Eden Park or at altitude at Loftus. Only then will he get my consideration. No good you just play local european teams week in week out.
I strongly disagree. You can be a great player independent of your team. Dupont isn't great because of France's/Toulon's medals, but because of his outsized influence on any team he's in. We saw what a France without Dupont is like in this year's six nations. Making trophies or specific achievements part of what makes a player one of the greatest is completely arbitrary as it rules out great players who maybe played for poorer teams and includes average players who play for good teams.

Regarding why the Springboks test in Brisbane is being played during the afternoon during club rugby games, the reason being cited is that the Nine/Stan broadcasters don't want it to clash with the Olympics that's happening afterwards. It's unfortunate that club rugby's the victim in this whole situation, broadcast say still holds significant value.

Hi Wildkard, Here is my Super Rugby Pasifika Semi-Finals predictions: Semi Finals 1: Blues will thrash the Brumbies in Auckland, at Eden Park. (because some Australian teams perform worse when flying over from Australia to New Zealand. Than Australian teams performing better over in Australia). Semi Finals 2: The Mighty Chiefs will only just beat the Hurricanes in Wellington, at Sky Stadium.
Wow, Australia Rugby management is getting worse... How? With the birth right law, think it will more negatively impact Australia. With any prospective players not really having much reason to want to stay and play for a country and fans that has reducing interest and support. The knock on effect of reduced competition will impact NZ more, but also SA and ARG. For NZ, i think so long as being an All Black is still regarded so highly, it will be less of an impact for them for a while. Players will hang in there for that honour. The birth right law was always intended to strengthen the lower tier rugby nations, to give them greater opportunity to increase available experienced players. So was always going to negatively impact Aus & NZ the most.
