I've seen too much Almost Friday that I was expecting some sudden tonal shift, so somehow they've made a normal conversation the most unsettling thing I have listened to
You literally don’t. It’s an introductory origin story-they literally explain his parents dying, how it motivated him to travel the world, how he gained his abilities as Batman, his relationship with Alfred and Rachel. She clearly just didn’t pay attention.
It’s funny to me that they’re explaining this to her from a position of authority while also saying Scarecrow worked for the Gotham underworld when he is very explicitly established as the Legion of Shadows inside man in Gotham.
The mob and scarecrow both worked for the league of assassin's. The mob was used to smuggle the solid state fear toxin and scarecrow probably just tested it out and his inmates to get the perfect mix.
Somebody tell her that the reason she doesn’t understand is because she either doesn’t have the attention span for films and is easily distracted… or she is not interested in that type of film and to just not force it. Because its super easy to understand if you’re attention isn’t compromised or if you are interested at all in following it. Its all in the dialogue. Stop responding to shit on the phone when you’re watching movies.
turn off your computer, hold down the power button so there are no excuses, pull the plug, put it as far away in your house as possible. go downstairs, make a cup of tea or whatever warm drink is your favourite. get a physical copy of your favourite album if you have it and put it on on your stereo. now finish your beverage with the album playing. try to find some of your old stuff again, allow your mind to wander. after that put on your favourite shoes and just go for a walk around the block. make eye contact with people, try to pay attention to what's going on around you and notice what the sky looks like, how the atmosphere feels at this time of day. is it a solemn, understated kind of day, or is there more social energy in the air? are there sounds in the distance and what is producing them? maybe there's a bar where people are gathered, maybe you could just go there and have a drink without being pressured to talk to anyone? if not, maybe there are people living nearby you could visit, or maybe you could try and read a bit at your local library? maybe try to find some spots around your house that you've never observed in detail before? maybe there are interesting ways the light enters a building, or maybe there is stuff lying around that tells you something about the people living there? if you're creative, maybe you could integrate these images into a new project? just some ideas, i know it's hard but it doesn't have to be always
9:17 false. She's going to like the third one because Anne Hathaway is in it.... So she has someone she can relate to... Because the devil wears Prada... Amd Because Emily blunt is so cute in that movie . . And Adrian Grenier who plays Anne hathaways boyfriend or husband or whatever the fuck... He cooks dinner for Amne All the time.... And she probably wonders why All men don't do that.... Why do women have to make call the meals... Except for all the meals the Men make and get no credit for... We should should have done it anyway... And the fact that they have to tell us that our personality and actions and behavior and personality don't perfectly align to their ever-changing ever-shifting ever fractured and distorted view of what she thinks she expects Us to be .... But actually doesn't ... But that's also our fault .... No matter what... All her feeling's are proof that it was our fault from the beginning....
lmao Is she daft? I fully understood this when I was 11 years old. Why is this hard to understand. and what does being white or Jewish have to do with it?… Does she not realize it’s a white popculture culture thing? So crazy to me someone can have such a hard time understanding something so simple.
Look I’m sorry I can’t listen to this podcast if the girls involved. She’s always confused, doesn’t pick up on anything. She doesn’t fit with the dynamic of the show or the listeners. HOW DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND BATMAN
It actually infuriates me how lost she is like the film is so straightforward, I understood it when I first watched it as a child lmao people’s attention spans are being fried
"What gives him the right" about a terrorist villain is epic
I clicked in here to say the same thing 😂
Jesus loves you!!!✝️✝️✝️💟
Calling Emily “your producer” is such a funny add on to this
I've seen too much Almost Friday that I was expecting some sudden tonal shift, so somehow they've made a normal conversation the most unsettling thing I have listened to
should watch it again but pretend its the movie blind side
Blackman begins
Is there significance to the truck getting hit some would say blindsided? I’m just realizing this. Oh lord.
Awesome comment 😂
What is that movie about?
@@jacksonkollar7623 watch it emily says its her favorite movie
4:45 @it’s too far! So they have a fundamental disagreement” *spectrum eye squint* got me 😂
To be honest with the points given you kind of needed to know about Batman and his enemies before going in to understand it all. I get it.
Or just not be an idiot lol.
You literally don’t. It’s an introductory origin story-they literally explain his parents dying, how it motivated him to travel the world, how he gained his abilities as Batman, his relationship with Alfred and Rachel. She clearly just didn’t pay attention.
Nah. If you think this you’re slow. Strait up. Children with no prior knowledge understand this.
It’s funny to me that they’re explaining this to her from a position of authority while also saying Scarecrow worked for the Gotham underworld when he is very explicitly established as the Legion of Shadows inside man in Gotham.
I mean both can be true, he helps the Gotham underworld with witness intimidation
@@Fivehe Fair enough, but they also said that Scarecrow and the mafia were there own separate entity not related to the LoS.
The mob and scarecrow both worked for the league of assassin's. The mob was used to smuggle the solid state fear toxin and scarecrow probably just tested it out and his inmates to get the perfect mix.
Will reading Mistborn is fire
I loved Batman Begins based on the novel Push by Sapphire.
When Bruce Wayne runs down the street with the bucket of chicken he stole 😅 classic

I don't get how you could not follow a movie like this?
10:11 ho-leee my boy got that Barnes and Noble money
I mean we need to hear her talk about TDK snd TDKR now
Yes Invisibles by Grant Morrison one of my favorite comic books ever!
his grapple caught the sky Hook, it took me a few watches to realize that was happening
Cillian Murphy originally auditioned for Bruce Wayne
Mistborn shout out, hell yeah
im going to end it all tonight
watch batman begins first
Just procrastinate on it like i do
Good luck buddy
Do it right or don't do it at all

I've watched the movie 3+ times and I still had the same questions as Emily... This was helpful.
Have you been checked for Brain Damage?
I don't mean to alarm you but you might have a learning disability
The Invisibles! Shoutout Grant Morrison
So weird… these movies are so straightforward. I think you just have to listen to words
They should make this into a movie
5:36 Erm, actually, scarecrow works for LOS
Finally clips 🙏🏻😫
now it's her turn to explain each of taylor swifts eras to you
"They had a fundamental disagreement" lol
you guys should show here daredevil or invincible lol Id love to hear her thoughts on that
nice cut down emily
How did you all of you leave out Farkus? Did you even watch the movie?
I love this hahahaha god bless my girlfriend she just watches movies with no idea of what’s happening
Ask her about euphoria and she can tell every story line
Drexyl Spivy in Batman could work
damn they’re gettin him into grant morrison
She needs to watch the dark knight
.... 7:57 she doesn't understand the concept of a grappling hook?
she doesn't know whether or not to trust Harvey Dent (though not in that movie ;) )
To be fair, I would have less respect for her if she could explain it in more detail
I've been telling everyone who'll listen for the past 8 years that batman begins is the best movie of the trilogy.
I’m glad I know a Jewish white girl’s experience of it now

To be fair the plot is pretty convoluted and hard to follow lol
treating her like this so much is a real dog whistle for more incels whoa

You need to shut up
I don’t give a sh!t about Batman
Don’t let the door hit you
