    Cowboy coffee put the grounds in a pot add water and boil.
    Hopefully you will strain it. Vs the old time ways of either adding cold water or egg White's to make the grounds drop to the bottom of the pot.

    Ive done this before when I forgot to buy filters. A little silt will accumulate on the bottom of the cup if you used a finer grind

    Hi, this is exactly the method coffee is brewed in India for ages, May be some 70-80 years ago also when there were no machines available to brew coffee.

    ...had a question for ya...what ratio (grounds/water) do you use? If i were to do this with 12 oz water...roughly how much grounds should i use? Couldnt tell how big the mason jar was

    Out of filters? The paper towel will work if it's bounty, cheaper brands will not hold up and will probably dissolve and let the grounds through! BUT.. I have used a paper cupcake liner and it's almost just like a regular filter. I have also used a piece of cloth and it worked great too! Now I don't have to resort to any of that bc I found an actual reusable mesh coffee filter years ago!

    I was thinking I cowboy it and pour cold water ontop the cold brings the grounds down and I guess stops it from extracting. I'm researching for a camping trip 🤔

    Hmm., never knew about the three minute "thing" for medium grind. Good to know. I've seen other videos where they use a Pyrex measuring cup. Has a handle and pouring spout. Then pour through a strainer. 3 minutes--hmmm, gotta try that....

      Been taking my coffee this way. But somehow when I buy coffee from a cafe, it always tastes different like it has a rich aroma and you'd smell it all day, its different. I've thought maybe there's a way coffee maker coffee can be prepared at home without a machine

    • @EddieKMusic
      @EddieKMusic Před měsícem

      @@shyguy1051 Well, there's also a difference between what kind of coffee you buy from stores. Some of them are awful (cheap ones). But more expensive ones are usually better. But if you want a real good coffee, should look into some coffee-specific online (or in-person stores) where they sell fresh ground coffee. Heard it's amazing, but really expensive as well.
