  • *UPDATE*
This video is purely to help others who may come accross the same issue as me when fitting. Please read the reply from Supersprox in the comments below. They have recognised the printing problem and have sorted it. I still highly rate Supersprox and will continue to use their awesome products.
This video was initially sent to Revzilla.com customer services but i thought to share my finding incase it helps others.
Bought the Black Supersprox 38T (OEM Teeth size) rear sprocket from Revzilla.com but it seems to have the part number, Logo, teeth size all printed on "dish" side which is a nice finish BUT as you can see in the video when you remove the origianl sprocket you would have to mount the new one the same way in order to keep your chain in alignment hiding the nicer finish and supersprox logo etc.
This is an issue with Supersprox NOT Revzilla.com but my first point of contact is obviously to go through Revzilla first. Revzilla have been brilliant so far with excellent communication and are sorting this out for me and have contacted Supersprox directly who are now investigating this design.

If you buy this for the 1290 range make sure you fit it like the OEM as it could lead to premature chain failure.

So what was the solution to this problem? Just use the sprocket rough side out? Or was this faulty production?

Supersprox recognised the problem and their solution was to just use the rough side out! They sent me a new one with the supersprox logo printed on both sides Thanks for watching :)

@@maximusvr46 Supersprox DJ: We made a mistake and printed the Supersprox logo and part number on the back side of the sprocket. The only mistake was the printing on the back side, so the logo could not be seen, when the sprocket was mounted correctly. There is nothing technically wrong with the sprocket and if mounted as original, function is normal. We offered MaximusVR46 a replacement with printing on back and front side. We did not want to trash the stock, because of printing error. Already, we changed the drawing and printing is shown on flat side only. Thanks for hearing our point of view!

@@maximusvr46 .....Just did it today. Printed 2 sides on mine. The cut out is for a precision fit to the wheel, and has to seat properly..
Most KTMs are flat to the inside. Gotta be sure the install is right- fitted, seated, and torqued properly.

so, what happened with that sprocket? is it worked properly? have you still got your SDR ? is that standard sprocket? 38T?

Hi there, yes i still have my SDR and i still have the black 38T Supersprox sprocket fitted as the video with the rough side facing outwards. Supersprox sent me a new one with the supersprox logo printed on both sides so the replacement would still have to be fitted with the rough side facing outwards. As long as it is fitted correctly the sprocket is good to use.
