    Let's not rewrite history, when Tyson fought Wilder Wilder was elite and had about the most feared aura in boxing since Tyson, was undefeated and regarded by many as one of the hardest hitting heavyweights in history. After that first draw Tyson utterly dismantled Wilder in the 2nd fight in one of the most dominant, fearless displays in a heavyweight title fight for many years. So let's give Fury his credit here

    Seriously, Fury needs to beat Usyk twice AND beat Joshua to earn any real credibility.

    • @BottleBri
      @BottleBri Před 6 dny +1

      So true. Usyk will beat Fury and may even stop him. If Usyk is about to stop Fury I can see the ref jumping in to stop the action and warn Usyk not to be so rough or he’ll start taking points!! Fury has had the ref and judges on his side clearly in many fights. Gifted the macdermott decision, given every chance in the world to get back up in Wilder 1, long count against Ngannou, forearm in Cunninghams face blindsiding him to the knockout blow which should’ve been an instant DQ, yet they handed him the ko win? They let him box on against Wallin with a cut so bad, that if Wallin had it they would’ve stopped the fight and given it to Fury. Then he loses in everyone’s estimation to Ngannou and they hand him that decision too. Talk about having everyone looking after you.

      The straight right is the Southpaw killer. But the problem Tyson will have, assuming he actually turns up, is that Uysk has impeccable conditioning, an iron jaw, and a very effective pendulum step. He's catches or rides 96-7% of the shots he takes and has only been dropped once in a competitive boxing match in over 300 amateur and professional fights. That's not because he's fought pillow-fisted men. He's faced the likes of Joshua, Joyce, Dubois and Beterbiev and beat them all. Fury is the more likely man to get dropped.

Tyson Fury cannot be compared to Lennox Lewis or Mike Tyson or Ali/Foreman/Frazier/Marciano/Dempsey/Patterson or any previous era Champs because they fought the best consistently. He knows he only gets tested once he's in camp, which is why he spends so much time being out of camp - partly to binge drink and eat, partly to 'recover' by taking PEDs to bring his body back to a functioning state before he signs a new contract to fight.

    • @davesmith826
      @davesmith826 Před 13 dny

      Fury only throws a good pawing jab and he'll struggle to land that on a guy who uses level changes and a pendulum step to evade incoming traffic. If Uysk really was weak to the body, Dubois would have stopped him with something other than a low blow. He landed about 15 shots above the belt in their fight and Uysk laughed them off and broke him down. Even if Fury could generate the same amount of power (he cannot), he's too tall to land a shovel hook to the liver and doesn't have the agility to slip and drive a shot up.
