I absolutely agree. The aeolians and Brittany are more refined. I think that too often we confuse quantity(singing loudly and attempting too many runs) for quality(singing w/proper diction & dynamic contrast).
The aeolians should be a model for many to emulate. If you have not heard their rendition of “What a friend we have in Jesus”, then you have been missing out!! It is the the video when they were seated in their choir room w/only the pianist playing. Absolutely masterful!! Both the choir and accompanist.
