You should do this for other seasons as well 😊
Yeah I realize SHE is a summer but not everyone is. Same with her body type and everything else. I loved when she brought her mom in. Im sure she could get people she’s helping on her services to agree to be in a video. People would do it to know what to use/wear.
An explanation of each season with images would be great too.!
Your real hair colour suits you so much better, it's darker and richer, it suits your eyebrows amd your eyes so well. ❤
Yes! The soft blonde-y brown looks so pretty with Ellie Jean’s eye colour and complexion. The icy blonde looks nice too, but is a dramatic contrast to her classic/ethereal/ingenue blend of essences. My cousin is the same way
I believe Emily Blunt is a True Summer as well? And she can also pull off blonde hair very well. But if you compare it to the darker, "mousier" colour she sometimes (rarely) has, the darker colour makes her look so much more striking and vibrant, and adds the exact amount of contrast she needs! I don't mean the very harsh colouring in movies like Devil Wears Prada either...
when you mentioned the brown mascara! I think it's a great idea. you're obviously always stunning but I think this video was the first time I saw you with no mascara and I gasped. without the added harshness and contrast from the black mascara and the bright blond hair you look so ethereal and hazy in the BEST way. Your bare face and natural hair one hundred percent have that effortlessly beautiful scandi archipelago girl look and it would be so interesting to see if brown mascara could preserve some of that vibe for when you do your make-up as well. throw a cream/oatmeal chunky knit on for flavour and let's ride. awesome vid as always
That is so nice 🥹 and I agree
I think you have low Chroma (or Saturation) and bright red lipstick may overpower you. I recommend Ella Ray Style's channel, her method for finding people's best colors makes a lot more sense than the seasons.
K-beauty brands release cool toned pallettes all the time. I recommend clio, wakemake, and dasique!
Hey girl i think your natural light brown hair makes your eyecolor more noticeable. Very pretty 💙
Thank you so much for talking about your under eyes! ❤ I have the same, also since I was a kid and people don't understand that sleeping or drinking more water won't help
The comments must get old. I think it's genetic cause I've seen a handful of people with it.
As a summer with green eyes I actually find that dark purple mascara (I like the one from kiko) works best on me. It could be worth a try for you too!
Also a summer with green eyes! Thank you for the tip, I will have to try it!
Is it the metallic purple one? that's the only one I could see on their website that was purple?
@@RacharlesHendrix3Yes, that one. But dont worry, it doesn't actually look metallic on the eyes
In Korean makeup, it’s actually very trendy to enhance the under eye bags! It’s called aegyosahl I believe
aegyo-sal is indeed trendy, not just in korean makeup, it actually comes from chinese beauty trends. the puffy under eye look is a little different, but it is also a trend in japan called igari makeup or "hangover makeup." I actually think ellie would look pretty good in doyin/trendy chinese makeup!
@@audrepoison566 thank you for this additional info!! And I totally agree, Ellie would look great with that style of makeup
Yes agreed!!
yeah they're imitating a white racial trait, eastern europeans especially are known for having it naturally - but so does my brother and he's English, it's just transracial makeup
Did you say "piggy eyes"?! I have no idea what that means, your natural eyes look very ethereal to me. Unless you mean how some pigs have very pretty eyes. My best friend looks just like you, and i feel protective of her/your appearances because I think undereye circles are villified when they can make some look really natural and smoldery. The actress Lea Seydoux talked about how she loves her undereyes and i love her look. My bff also dies her naturally auburn hair blonde which kills me but she always tells me to shut up she can feel how she wants about her own appearance lol so i get it.
Does anyone else in the Summers have a hard time with any makeup looks that aren't soft/natural in style?
I've noticed that other makeup looks on me, even if they are in the correct Summer palette, always look way too "fake glam.". I'm a Summer with very strong features (nose, lips, eyes), so the color palette doesn't seem... dramatic or enhancing enough with the Summer colors, but other makeup styles and color palettes look way too Halloweenish.
I feel like I'm stuck between 2000s Lady Gaga or a mime. 😅
Have you considered toning your blonde to match your roots?
As a soft summer plum eyeliner and matte eyeshadow has been the biggest game changer. Along with omitting bronzers and gold sparkly lip glosses. Lol. Also brown mascara
Ohhh plum is such a good idea. I'm true summer, I think it'll work well
Pls do more on summer makeup tuts and product recommendations!
Love this! I’m a cool summer as well. Recently made the switch to brown mascara and loving it. Got the Too Faced Better than Sex
I don't like wearing a lot of makeup so I appreciate your approach
Yes pleaaaase also for other seasons..like bright winter en example ?☺️☺️
Might be hard to show it on herself since she’s a summer, you know?
@@KaytchC1790 but she could give an example like blabla la colors work well with winter.... Like that?
I feel you on the puffiness of your eyes but also the opposite. I have deep set hollow eyes and dark circles. i would looove a fat graft to my undereyes
Same, girl 😂😭
I KNOW I’m like at least u don’t look like a zombie, I feel like my SKULL is visible with my hollow eyes 😭😭
I think your under eyes are cute and unique ❤
True summer in the 12 color seasons system is fully cool, so I’m not sure why you would go for the neutral makeup 🤨
If you feel like you can go neutral-cool, then you’re a light summer.
With just bare face and your natural hair color. SO beautiful. ☺️😮🤗 Do you always wear makeup?
Dramatic, True Summer here! I am Affogato in Nars. For color correction under eyes Pixie has the perfect salmon color for fair skinned ladies and taking a small detailed brush to apply only no the areas needed correction has been amazing with Nars over it. Check it out! Also, SOO Happy you are finally going towards your natural hair Ever since I found your channel a year ago I've always thought that would be more flattering and harmonious for you. Can't wait to see how it grows out!
girl, you do NOT have piggy eyes 😂 but mascara does really make them really pop due to the contrast that it adds to your features
so happy to find your channel
I don't think the puffiness in your bottom eyes are a bad thing. You have a very cute face. I think your eyes add to your cuteness. They complement you. Pls don't think you need surgery to change that.
I have had baggy under eye my whole life as well. The last couple years or so IN MY FORTIES I found that face massage or a cooling under eye mask DOES make a difference. Even cold water splashed on my face or so cold spoons or cucumbers does wonders.
I will say I was never self conscious about it at your age because we didn’t have the internet to tell us we were wrong. I would never notice unless you mention it - since this is a fashion channel I understand why you mention it!
My natural hair color is very similar to yours, and I have to say that both of us look better with that light brown. I've been blonde for a long time, but I agree, it's so much work. I changed to brown mascara a little over a year ago, and that definitely is a game changer! Now I also bought Maybelline Skyhigh in bordeaux and it's surprisingly striking with my bright eyes.
Would have loved for u to swatch the shades on your skin- thanks for the video :)
Could you do for other seasons please?😭
Would love to see a (dark) winter type make up 😊
I would definitely love to see a makeup video for ingenue essence
Love your content! How did you find your season? Cause my first impression is cool summer!
I have the same thing with my undereyes. Diet, lifestyle and sleeping on my back help but nothing makes my eyebags go away completely. I have learned to accept them.
No brown mascara I've found is cool. I've thought about grey but don't want ashy eyelashes? 😅
I use navy and I loveeee ittt 😃
Wonderful make up!
Have you tried cutting bangs? i think that would look great on you! 😊
I don't know what system it is but I've seen a colour analysis of light soft summer and I wonder if that's what your actual season is, because you seem a bit neutral too and definitely have the soft etherealness... Also love that you're embracing your natural hair colour! It is beautiful :)
Would you please do one for Light Spring? 🌼
Yes please, from a fellow light spring!
An important thing I want to say about summer skintones. It's true they're technically "ashier", but mine has always been incredibly yellow, I always noticed standing next to groups of people in front a mirror (I'm a dancer). How can I be a summer then??? Well, if I wear warm colors, the yellow is the _only_ thing you notice, while with cool colors my skin is just fine and bright. Still yellowish, but I'd say it's the... 5th thing you notice. And it doesn't look weird
We can have neutral skin leaning cool undertone so maybe that’s why you see some yellow
If you're a cool summer, you can borrow palette from cool winter.
I think that's why some darker colors don't look terrible on you, while on light summer they will seem overwhelming.
I follow the 16 system where true seasons are different than cool/warm subseasons.
True summer in 16 system means you fit all summer characteristics to the T that you can't borrow from other seasons.
I find it much helpful since I initially thought I was a soft summer, but after draping, autumn leaning colors are too warm and disharmonious with me.
I really need all 3 softness, coolness, and lightness.
I look good in all summer subseasons but I don't have sister palette from other seasons😂
She’s definitely not a Cool Summer in the 16 color seasons system. She has the ability to wear light colors (she has very light skin, eyebrows and eyes), as well as soft and cool. True summer. I haven’t seen yet a summer color she doesn’t look in.
@@emmamartin4045 agree, but she's been using 12 system and leaning towards cool/true summer. Perhaps that's the closest subseason she thinks she is in 12 system. Who knows if she turns out to be true summer once she discovers 16 system, that's likely.
I'm sorry u might want to reconsider those lip colors they are absolutely not cool tone or summer color pallete😭
This is what I have been searching for!
anyone have any tips for dark winter eyeshadow palettes?
Anything with grey, silver, blue, navy, purple, mauve...
I know that knowing your best colors is very helpfull with makeup but the placement matters too. Your makeup looks like you had been punch or you are tierd. You need to blend your eyeshadow more. Diferent placements with Diferent shades intensity of a color criate a diferent impact. I recomend watching the channel dear peachie if you want to learn more about makeup. Watch the video about 8 makeup archetype, i think your makeup archetype is elegant, you have rounded features with moderate visual weight. Its nice👌🏽.
Are dark autunms typically warm, deep and clear?
autumns are warm, dark, and soft. deep autumns are bright for an autumn. they're moderate in terms of softness
Yup, deep autumns are warm deep and moderate in saturation. They can lean more towards the soft or the bright side, but if you find your best colors are super bright or you have some obviously bright features you might be a bright spring
If we do not use makeup at all.. maybe just a tinted lip balm on the lips
Is it possible to enhance the look with just the color of the outfits?
Yes!
yes and that looks even better and natural in my opinion
I am surprised as a cool tone how warm u wear ur eyebrows. Way b4 I learned about color theory I cudnt understand why brown eyebrow pencil looked so awful it wud scream how off it looked on me. Until I discovered taupe (they're now microbladed but in a very ashy brown and very natural) anyway I still wonder if u are a true summer ☀️
I think you are more of a soft summer. Cool summers almost look like cool winter, they are a bit darker than you and not as soft. Be aware that some systems have more than one soft summer type. You may be a soft summer light, between light and cool summer but softer. (Soft summer deep is the darker)
Nice to see you without makeup... If you are True Summer, then I must be Winter, either True or Bright. My eyes are a bit darker than yours and my hair a bit darker and a bit more red in its ashy brown... I'm tending towards Bright Winter at the moment.
Hard to not see you as a light summer. It is confusing.
I'm really struggling to tell whether I'm a summer or winter.
do you look good or atrocious in true red?
Looking at contrast and clarity should help! True Winters would have high contrast and more clarity than True Summers. Both have cool undertone, but Summers are much more soft compared to Winters. 😊
Something I read online that helped me was that if you would look good wearing a pure white and jet black outfit then you're probably a winter, where if that would look too much on you you're probably a summer :)
@@mmmmmmmmariais true red a bright or deep red?
@@rorolilredI look good in purely black, I look ok in white.
I'm sorry I've gotta be honest I really think that your undereye concealer is way too orange. I've made the same mistake for a long time trying to concealer and color correct my genetic life long circles. I'd highly recommend trying something with much more pink I think that'd help you a ton
