I am getting a good idea of this game from the current Kickstarter with th Cows expansion. It looks like a game I would enjoy, but I am worried it would be too thinky for my group so they get a good idea of how to play :)

Had this game on my list of things to look into for awhile now, finally getting around to watching gameplay videos. I am early in the video still, seems like it is very hard to wrap your brain around how to do well in the game on the first play. That is the case for many area control/majority games I feel though, as the timing is a huge deal in these types of games.
Hi! We played it fairly recently when the Cows expansion came out. Since making this video, we hadn't really played the base game much. Partially because we have to play so many games for content creation, but also because of the strong area-control component. The Cows expansion, improves basically every negative feeling we've had about the game though.
34:40 I believe the rules mentioned here by Monique are incorrect. The rulesbook says after resolving changes in clouds from the sunny weather effect, develop any coffe, even COffe that started growing thanks to an overflow during the Sun weather. So if you manage to get 4 raindrops in a cloud aboe Coffee and Sunny Weather vote wins, you could double to 8, make it rain down, and grow the coffee right away.
