⭕ Copycat Air Fryer Chick Fil A Chicken Tenders and Chick Fil A Sauce Recipe (page 78 in my recipe book!)
    1-2 pounds chicken tenders
    1 cup dill pickle juice
    1 large egg
    ¼ cup milk
    1 ½ cup all-purpose flour
    1 ½ tablespoons confectioner's sugar
    1 ½ teaspoons paprika
    ¾ teaspoon salt
    ¾ teaspoon pepper
    ¾ teaspoon dried basil
    ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
    ¾ teaspoon onion powder
¾ teaspoon celery powder optional* see note
    Chick-Fil-A Sauce
    ¼ cup mayonnaise
    2 tablespoons honey
    1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
    1 tablespoon yellow mustard
2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice or bottle lemon juice
    2 tablespoons barbecue sauce
    ¼ teaspoon salt
    INSTRUCTIONS
Place the chicken tenders in a Ziploc bag, add the pickle juice, and refrigerate for 2 hours (you can do more time if wanted, your chicken will just taste more pickely). If you are in a pinch for time, refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
After the chicken finishes marinating, prepare your ingredients. In a shallow bowl, whisk together the egg and milk. In a second shallow bowl or plate, combine the flour, sugar, paprika, salt, pepper, basil, garlic powder, onion powder, and celery powder.
Preheat the air fryer to 340°F/170°C for 5 minutes.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and pat dry with paper towels. Dip and cover the chicken in the egg mixture, then in the flour mixture. Place the chicken in a lightly sprayed air fryer basket. Repeat with remaining chicken tenders.
Cook in the air fryer for 5 minutes, flipping when there is about 2 minutes left. Check the internal temperature of the chicken. My chicken strips were very thin, so this was plenty of time. If yours are thicker, they may need a couple of extra minutes. Add time as needed, making sure to flip the chicken so that each of the sides cook evenly.
Once the chicken reaches an internal temperature of or near 165°F, increase the heat to 400°F/200°C and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the chicken is crispy to your liking and cooked through.
Remove from the air fryer basket and enjoy with Chick-Fil-A dipping sauce!
    Chick-Fil-A Sauce
Mix together all the ingredients until well combined.

I love the way you use your children for taste testers especially that youngest one. I like the way she decides whether it's 5 stars or 4 stars. It puts a smile on my face to watch your videos. Thank you for helping all of us have a good day.

I think she had a lot of requests for her kids to be in her videos. I surely did like seeing them, because we all know she's going to love her own cooking, but the REAL test is her kids!!! Right? After all, thats who she's really cooking for! LOL

It makes your content very approachable by everyone. Keep it coming!

I have a top tip. Instead of egg wash coat the chicken in mayonnaise (normal full fat version). About 1tsp for 150g of tenders. Mayo is just eggs/oil but it binds to the chicken better holding all the spices. The egg in it also gives a good browning. 1tsp of mayo is less calories than 1tsp of oil so slightly healthier. I use it for all dry spice rubs with chicken tenders in the air fryer instead of oil where the spices drip off.

@@empoweredcooks I thought the pickle juice was a good idea but your kids commented on the flavor that still came through after being cooked. Pickles are delicious but I'm not sure pickle flavored chicken is what I'm shooting for.
I was thinking orange juice only because it's also an acid and the only thing it's going to do is make it taste a little sweeter.
I'll give it a shot and let you know how it turned out. Thanks for your wonderful videos.

Any chance you can put your beautifully manufactured book onto Amazon? I’ve had a few books from USA, never been that cost before. I really like your format too.
