Can I pull a tube with a Bass Boat...

I've been wanting to do something different with the kids because they are always hot when we are fishing so I was searching if it was even possible to pull a tube with a bass boat.. its a bit sketchy at first but it's possible.. we had fun and when I say we I mean them..lol

I've got a little 12 ft v bottom with a 9.9 Mercury. I don't know how well it's going to pull, could be really slow but it'll open an extra seat on the boat for fishing!

Nice. I'm looking at buying a 16 foot bass boat with a 90 hp motor. Hoping to be able to do the same thing with some friends that aren't into fishing.

if you havent bought the boat yet i recomend a fishnski because you can tube bass fish walley fish and many more

Very Nice! I was thinking of doing the same with my Nitro Bass boat. It looks like you hooked up to the "Tie Down" hooks of the boat? I was afraid it might catch the propeller.

I was afraid as well but after a couple trials and watching the rope very closely, it stays up-float..

Yes a bass boat can pull a tube people do it with bass boats and jon boats I actually started pulling tube with a jon boat before I pulled one with a speed boat done in on rivers and lakes

Why not hook up to the rear cleats? Thats what i was planning on doing.would that work?

Turn to sharp rope will rub on the motor.. im just pulling kids and not really wanting to launch them..lol they do sell this tripod and from what I hear it works great.

Cleats are made to tie off to the dock or anchor not for towing you have tow hooks on each side you want a setup where you can hook up to both tow hooks

What was the ball for in the middle? To keep the line up?

Booster Ball keeps the tow rope out of the water while towing, reducing drag, rope spray, & submarining. It also lowers stress on tubes & covers, allowing your towables to last.

Guessing you can’t do any turns bc the rope would rub on motor?

Wide turns only.. but it's OK my kids are still little...with the wide turns I can come bk around and hit those wakes..

@@mdrichards00 there is this tripod that u can install it is detachable $300-400 that would work great or u can also get this other deal that wraps around the motor I think its called turboswing ski bar.. runs about $700 or so depending on what size motor u have.. I haven't had the need to get either at the moment.. Currently remodeling my home and that takes lots of time and money.. the set up I have works great for kids but no so much for adults I can't seem to knock anyone over just kids..lol it's good for now eventually I will put on one of the things I mentioned above.

As long as it's moving it won't hit the prop even on turns.
