That was some crazy Freedom playing good sir. It is one of my favorites, but I gave up on it in FB because I felt it was severely lacking. I tried again testing out in MBON, but it felt the same. However, now after watching this all want to do is spin constantly over and over again and give it another go!

I'm so sad vanilla Justice isn't in the game. Or Savior. That Justice model at 7:43 just hurts me because of how pretty it is, but I can't play it lol.

I love that the Freedom can use every weapon in this game now. Missed the railgun in the past games.
The barrel roll must be really annoying for the opponents to deal with.
Freedom can use its railguns in Gundam Versus.

Ikr, railguns are my favorite weapons in the OG Freedom. A shame I can only use them in Full Burst in N+. Back then you could only have ammo for 3 different weapons, I guess. Glad it's over.

Great showcase of freedom's gameplay minato. Freedom have a really good long range supporting game imo, and 4/6b melee properties are good for defensive and offensive melee fights lol

Say, back in GVS I used a lot of pale raider (mainly cause the same VA as brynhildr). What is the most similar unit to that in Maxi boost?

I dont have much knowledge to the game so i want to ask for help here, what's the difference of Railgun and Plasma Beam Cannon? Which situation u decide to use each one of them? I kinda grasp the idea that Plasma Beam hit harder and Railgun can piece through some Beam defense right?
Plasma is a beam and slower, railgun is a live ammo and faster, it also can go through mantle of those crossbone gundam
Railgun is weaker, but it comes out more much quicker. Plasma Beam Cannon has slower start up, but is stronger and single hits for a hard knock down.
There isn't a universal beam or shell defense stat in this game, but some mobile suits have a gimmick that nullify beam weapons such as Crossbone' X1's ABC Cloak or Akatsuki's Yata-no-Kagami.
2AB Railgun is very anti-melee quick defense tool. You should be able to use it from a BC roll though I haven’t tested it in the beta and would rather save the AB ammo to send melee monkeys flying the opposite way tbh.

Question: How can you BC in the air even without EX Burst helping reload speed? I was planning on practicing movement, but maybe it's because of my timing of whenever I try and barrel roll quickly.
if you're not spamming it, you should always have 1-2 BC up all the time. That's enough for general mid-air shenanigans.

Not sure if you'll read this. Just got into MBON lately and your tutorials really help me. Tho I do have a question about this, how do you CSb while also doing 4/6b during that fight with Legend at 7:28? Did you just map 2 buttons for the b attack?
if you mean the assist, that's csa. I have a big thumb so i can hold square while tapping triangle for the b.
you can use shortcut to help if you don't like that kind of input

@@MinatoVersus Also srry again. I was watching you combo guide for the Freedom. I saw you do the 8B>8B. I was trying it on practice, but the dummy gundam flies too far for me to do the 2nd 8B. I assume i have to Rainbow dash to do the 2nd 8B? Vid is old as well so idk if they do patches on the game?

This game has over 183 roster if they want to add dlc im fine with that

4/6b is the best of melee?
Any combo for melee fight?
it's usually my 1st option when it's come to melee with freedom.
For a combo I think you can do a lot of fancy stuff with freedom but the damage is not worth it. Just do a quick slap.
4/6B alone can be teched so either 4/6B > 4/6B or 4/6 B > A to score knockdowns and 2v1 their partner. In general you want to be safe and assume whoever you’re starting a combo on immediately sends HP COM to partner who may be in position to punish you or cut your combo. One way to avoid this switching locks during your combo which takes practice and is actually blocked during any animated melee sequence so it’s considered risky. If I can get away with a long combo from 4/6B I usually do 4/6B > 5BB:2B or 4/6B > CC8B~BC~AB/AC variants. I haven’t played enough MBon Freedom to see if cancel routes were lost or what opens up in F Burst tbh.

Plasma cannon is stronger and is a single hit hard knockdown but has wind-up time.
Railgun is weaker but comes out quicker

For Freedom, GVGNP is much better than EXVS series. Even as a signature melee (BD attack), it disappeared in EXVS series, very short distance, 2 hands with swords (totally not from anime). Imagine you use a BD attack to give a hurt of 104, but due to short distance, you just stop in front of enemy after that, then you would get back a "full set" counter attack that cost you more. Also, the stupid CS of Justice and the burst attack: freezing 30 sec waiting Justice for beam attack ?! The other enemy already kill you for long...... =_=

MiNATO CH Nothing offended to you, but no point why Bandai Namco gets to make Freedom weak & incomplete. 00 has three 3000 units, Unicorn has two 3000 units, but only Freedom gets to downgrade from 3000 (GVGNP) to 2500. And obviously ability hard to compare with other 2500 units too (see how many people use Freedom when compared to the past can tell as well)
It's doesn't make sense to compare this to a 10 yo game that most people only use it to beat up CPU (never play vs player) where this one is mostly multiplayer.
It's like saying some character from tekken 3 was better because they are not broken in 7. It just makes no sense.
@@MinatoVersus For this I don't agree, GVG or GVGNP could be found in game shop nowadays as well, that people pay coins to enjoy. Also, in PS2 or PSP era, people could also play against each other (actually all PS2 & PSP Gundam Vs series comes from arcade). It makes senses that Freedom is not good in FB or MB On, so that in PS4 Gundam Versus or EXVS2, CS and burst attacks change .....

Can someone explain me what does it mean with no freefall?
Basically an action that when you do it will make you return to the ground.
Some suits can do a move that allows them to immediately begin falling to the ground as opposed to being stuck in place and then falling. Some suits can do it, some can't, but being able to do so is really helpful.

What's free fall?
Simply the act of falling. In this context, it's about being able to attack while coming out of a boost or if you run out boost and being able to defend yourself while in a vulnerable state.
If only Freedom has his Ult from GVS would’ve been better his Ult in MaxiBoost takes way too long to finish usually you get punish for it

@@kaihedgie1747 well i've played the whole day against people and nothing worked, if i shoot at them my bullet never hit, or they can dodge my melee every time, but my side step or boost never dodge, i'm always getting hit even if the attacks isn't even in my direction
@@Thominouche that's how these kinds of games works, youre gonna have to learn the fundamentals and get used to how the pacing of multiplayer in order to do well, its almost guaranteed youre gonna lose at the start but as long you can learn from your mistakes you can improve quickly
@@Thominouche This series is pretty hard to get into but I do say stick with it. It f you're the type that's social try talking with some other players and they can give you some pointers. If not then just work on one thing at a time and slow down. The biggest problem with competitive multiplayer games nowadays is that most people wants to go from zero to 60 when you don't even have the basics down. You'll get it, I believe in you.
Try playing against cpu first, gradually increase the difficulty, and you'll do better against other players soon.
