I hope you are all doing well. Welcome back to my channel and to a very festive vlog. Zara and I booked a trip back in May to Vienna as we had some flight credit to use up with British Airways. It feels like we have been looking forward to this trip for an age but it didn’t disappoint. I cannot tell you how much you need to visit Vienna if you love Christmas. It was magical. Living in England you are SO incredibly lucky to be so close to other amazing countries!! It’s astounding to me that you can travel so easily to so many amazing countries because you really don’t have to go far! As an American I am incredibly envious!! It’s a HUGE deal for “us” to go to such places!!
Ahh honestly we said the EXACT same thing Mollie. We were speaking to two lovely American travellers in our hotel and they said it’s so much tricker to see Europe. We are very lucky indeed, especially in London🧡

Wonderful, '' Frohes Fest '' is " Merry Celebration " in German as it relates to Christmas Celebration. I'm glad you enjoyed your two days in Vienna.
I think that building was the stadtpalais Lichtenstein. It’s part embassy, part museum and part private home to the princely family of Lichtenstein. They have a second palace in the suburbs.

Christmas market looks great! I’m coming home to England for the first time in 20 years on the 15th (I’m from Canterbury but live in Texas) and we’re going over to Brussels for the Christmas market for a couple of days and I can’t wait!

Oh my goodness! What a beautiful place! How neat that the beverage vendors use "real" mugs and you leave a deposit for them. Honestly though, I'd be half tempted to snag one or two as souvenirs, lol. Thank you for letting us tag along on your trip.
You are free to take the mugs with you. A lot of people do so. That's the idea behind the deposit. You decide if you want your money back or keep the mug. 😊
I'm going to Salzburg in 2 days for the Christmas market so was excited to see this. Wow snowing, I need to wrap up warm

For everybody considering visiting vienna around Christmas time and visiting Christmas markets may I suggest some of the less "commercial" markets, which are the ones mostly loved by the viennese people: "Spittelberg" (7th district) and "altes akh" (9th district). The restaurant with the nice ceilings is called Café Central! It's a very fancy Viennese Café XD I love watching this vlog and seeing all the places I've been to (I live in Austria)

A tip for anyone doing the photobooth at Christkindlmarkt, you get a URL at the bottom of the printout and when you open it in a browser, you can download a digital version of the printout, plus it also shares a GIF of the three images taken that you can download as well.
I assume you were there Fri and Saturday! We came to Vienna on Saturday so there was no snow that day. Still cold though :D I like how you seen some completely different places that now I want to go back and see again. I think it will have to wait until Spring! Would be great if you could come to Zagreb next, even for this Christmas season as our Christmas Market is back in full glory!

In Wien gibt es 17 Weihnachtsmärkte mit 905 Ständen 😀 ich wünsche Dir viel Spaß. Meine Freundinnen aus Deutschland hatten mich vor 3 Jahren in der Vorweihnachtszeit inWien besucht. Wir sind 3 Tage von einem Markt zum anderen....hahaha...das war total anstrengend.

Lovely vlog guys. Never count calories on such trips.. Zara is right, you just have to enjoy 🙂. Yes Germany and Austria are amazing at Christmas. And our Christmas tree tradition did come from Albert, from Germany. But the British invented the Christmas card.

Vienna is great this time of a year, you basically have Christmas market on every platz and street in center of the city
