I'm annoyed there's no Makarov in the game. Come on it's like the staple KGB pistol
I thought about the exact same thing when I first saw the weapons roster
I would prefer something like the PB, PSS, or APS, but a Makarov would also be perfect for the game, and I, too, was disappointed by the exclusion of the gun from the game
Yeah, like why Zakhaev pointed M1911 in our face
The general lack of handguns and just weapons in general just shows how neutered the current roster feels. It’s quite obvious the devs are planning to release more weapons in season updates to “compensate” for this. IW did a better job with fleshing our the weapons roster with MW2019. That much is certain. Though if there’s even an inkling of a silver lining with BO:CW’s weapons, it’s the fact that Treyarch actually used a M93R model rather than a sloppily dressed up 92SB.
or a Stechkin or Skorpion or even an Automag
Do you want to watch me talk about everything wrong and innacurate about guns in this game ? Please let me know
Yes that would be great.
Yes, definitely
YESSS
Do it, it'll be interesting.
I would actually kinda like that
I find their weapon choice really odd for a mid-80s era. They are plenty of substitutes for what they have here, and if they wanted to go the lazy route there’s like over a dozen AK variants and derivatives they could’ve added. Historical accuracy makes me bug out. Good video.
they're pretty lazy
To be fair they did the same in the original Black Ops. It's basically series tradition at this point.
@@camarokidbb4347 yeah, they did actually. I want to say that game’s mp took place in 74? Had a ton of stuff in there that wasn’t around yet, especially prototypes. It’s an arcade shooter so ig it’s okay, but realism as a stylistic and not a gameplay choice is still my preference (as they did in mw)
@@jacksmrt8551 True. I was actually disappointed that Black Ops Cold War didn’t go as far with conversions as MW2019 did. Maybe later on?

The aks-74u is NOT a sub machine gun. It’s a carbine and I hate how they have it listed as an smg in game
I am with you on this one. Baffling how a AAA game company does not know basic weapon terminology
@@OmicronWeaponry battlefield got their guns right.
@@OmicronWeaponry it’s been like this since the first BO game, so I wasn’t surprised lol
As is an M4 (compared to the M16) to a certain extend. I woudn't put it on them as much as having a burst fire AUG.
The 74U is usually put into the smg category for balancing purposes. It woudn't make a lot of senses to have a shorter, faster firing 5.45(?) AK in the same weapon category as a regular 7.62 AK(M).
Same reason you often see both M4's and M16's in games but they use the burst A2 and A4 variants of the M16 to differentiate them gameplay wise.
that's some dumb tradition from Treyarch , like adding a 20 bullets magazine to a M16 and program 30 bullets instead
A modern warfare version (including dlc guns) would be dope, great job man, we can really see the effort here and its amazing.

Yeah the xm4 is the offical name for the xm177e2 but it’s technically an ar15 in the game because its just a semi auto rifle not a automatic rifle with semi ans auto.

Another thing about the AUG in this is that it has the incorrect reticle for the 1.5x Swarovski optic, it should be a dark gray circle with translucent white in the middle of it.
It also does not have the forgrip folded out. The scope aslo has integrated backap irons, which are modeled in game and never used. It should also almost rival the smgs in the mobility category, being made of mostly polymer and being a bullpup.
Cod is an arcade game tho. Everything isnt going to be spot on
@@mango5916 mw2019 got most of it spot on
Mw 2019 went away from the classic cod feeling they put really dumb things that was more like siege and battle field. The roots of a good cod game is arcade shooter.

I think we were too spoiled with modern warfare’s sleek and perfect weapons, they had amazing reloads, accuracy to the original weapons, and had great reason to put them in. But now look at CW they literally have so many weapons that just didn’t exist, aren’t designed right, and don’t have reason to even put them in the game in the first place. Hell they could’ve thrown in a glock and it would’ve been more accurate for the timeline than some of these other guns
Yeah we were spoiled from MW.
I was desperate for this game since Modern Warfare's M4 grew a brain tumor on me. Everything else I can agree was better.
@@icantcomeupwithausername3936 The MW M4 is a MK18 Mod 1, they just called it M4A1 and it bugs me out too
yup maybe spoiled but i dont think we should settle for lesser quality.
MW 2019 UZI diddnt had no safety guard
They tried to make their own 80’s era.... Just watch a load of old action movies and you’ll see a lot of bad guys running around with FN FAL’s and HK-G3’s and Galil’s. I loved the 80’s era style movies because of the big powerful guns. Something you don’t see in modern movies because they’ve been swapped out for tactical techno stuff instead. Black ops 1 feels more 80s like than this.
Even though black ops 1 is set in the 1960's I agree
@@danko0911 i think the multiplayer is set in the 70s. The singleplayer is 1968, so it's likely a while after that. Not too much changes, but it at least makes things like the AUG and FAMAS feasible

Honestly, if nobody tells me anything, I would have been wholly convinced that this game takes place in an alternative mid to late 1990s, early 2000s era where the Soviet Union and the Warsaw Pact are still around because of the huge number of "modern" weapons and attachment, like Holographic sight, QBZ 83, laser sight, etc.
Hold on now. The Krig 6 is based on the Swedish AK-5C. It was made in the year 1986, while the game itself takes place in 1981-1985.
Eh it's for gameplay purposes
It's a lot more plausible than some of the other guns in this game.

And that's not AK-47. "AK-47" is a prototype, the Soviet assault rifle from 1947 have name "AK", without numbers. I think that there is AKM in the game.

I love this video so much. I have no idea why some of these guns could’ve had the real names of the manufacturers and Cold War era weaponry.
7:21 thats a 20 round mag but it holds 30...how does that make any sense??
Damn, you're right. I assumed it had 20 rounds and never bothered to look at the bottom right. Looks silly, watching it again.
Yeah, and what’s worse is that the extended mag looks like just a standard 30 round mag yet in game it holds 45 rounds.
@@fulysemiauto bruh what is this in future ppl are gonna think this game was made 10 years before MW2019
They had to use some dark magic to make it work
@David Wolford it actually holds 20 rounds. And btw the 20 round mag makes the m16 look hideous.
Sorry if mistaken, but shouldn't the Soviets use AK-74's instead of AK-47's?I mean, they never update the AK,even in Modern Warfare it was a AK-47(the old ones and new).
In modern warfare, the Russian army would be using the Kalashnikov concern AK-16 if the developers decided to make the game accurate to real life (Modern Warfare 2019 is set in 2019- Jan 2020, AK-19 wasn’t introduced until August of 2020). The soviets during the timeframe of Cold War would be using the AK-74 platform of rifles with the 5.45x39mm cartridge, some ak-74 rifles used by the soviets during the 80’s were seen with 40 round magazines but these mags were given to tankers and pilots mostly (soviet tanker photos in Soviet-Afghani War). The AKS-74u were also mostly given to tankers or танкисты because of the guns shorten barrel and size allowing tankers to conceal a rifle inside their tanks instead of an AK-74 with a 18 inch barrel which allowed the tankers to peak out the tank and shoot the enemy trying to attack the tank from inside.
@@ShubNiggurathDeLuca Yes,would've liked to see AK-74 in Cold War,not yet another AK47(we have 2 AK47's now in Warzone lol).
Also,if you look carefuly at the AKS74u,the weapon model is too small, the stock doesn't even reach the operator's shoulder.
Weapon choices and models in Cold War are anachronistic and atrocious, kind of dissapointed to be honest.
As a side note, some russian units had de AK200 equiped already in 2019,I know you can make a modern AK through attachments, still not the same thing, but I am nitpicking.
@Our poison is in their veins you’re right sorry for misinformation, my bad

I really wish CoD would just stop using the “AK-47” ALREADY!!! I mean cmon it’s been in so many games and there have been so many new models since then! I mean I get this game takes place in the 80s but why couldn’t we get an AK-74?, or finally see the AK-103 get some love! That would be a dream come true....

The AK-74 is a 5.56 (5.45?) assault rifle with both less recoil and more rate of fire than a regular AKM.

Interesting fact: AKS-74U’s nickname is “Krinkov”
So that's why it's also called "Krink"
@@icantthinkausername1136 yeah
@@anrichilingaryan4774 That's only an American nickname, though. And a fairly modern one. Soviets and Bulgarians never called this guns a "Krinkov". For them it was either an "AKSU" or "Cучка" ("Bitch").
The nickname comes from the fact that they didn't like the gun too much, becouse it was ineffective past three hundred meters.
It was a great PDW for crews of helicopters and armored vehicles, but for the average infantryman in Afghanistan it was useless, since the fights were usually happening over a long distance.
Even Spetsnaz troops rather used the paratrooper AKS-74 (folding stock + standard length barrel).
@@honzabalak3462 thanks for the info, as I understood the gun is for close combat
@@anrichilingaryan4774 Very close combat, to be exact. It's more suited for a police use (and it actually is used that way).
The short barrel means lower accuracy and lower bullet velocity. It has flip sights calibrated only to 100 and 200 meters.
If you're a good shot, you have a good eyesight and a lot of luck, you'll be able to hit targets 300 meters away. But that's about it.

The DMR 14 (M14) was made and produced by Springfield Armory
In April 1958, the government-owned Springfield Armory in Massachusetts initiated production of the M14 rifle both on the military and civilian market. I am unsure where you found Winchester as the original manufacturer as they only had been sub-contracted, Springfield is the company who developed the M14 and obtained the government contract to produce them for the military. Similar to most military weapons there are sub-contracted companies and those who copy the design such as H&R, Winchester, or Norinco. Similar to how Colt obtained the contract for the M16 yet now you will find M&P, DPMS, and FN clones. I do not mean to rude, I am only pointing this out for fact/ accuracy. I enjoy these videos very much, and thank you for making them.

In modern warfare, the Pellington is incorrectly displayed as a .50 BMG
74u is also 7.62 and RPD is 7.62x54mmR
thats because they copied the weapons over to mw ones, like the pelington got the ax-50 picture once i played it! so maybe a bug or they were to lazy to change that

I could be wrong but I think the AK-47 also has the AKM’s ‘muzzle device’ (for a lack of a better term), so I feel it more closely resembles the AKM better
The main builder of the M14 was Springfield Armory. Winchester had a contract to help keep up with demand.
The specific configuration for the Stoner 63 in game is the Mk23 pattern used by the Navy SEALS
The stoner is the final version used by the seals before it was removed from their arsenals
This is why i use real gun names in game. Not fake ones . i feel like an idiot using fake names.
The type 63 supposed to be select fire but they put it in semi but they did this for balancing purposes.
Man that Parkour on A3: Still Alive ad was Cool.

RPD was manufactured at the Degtyaryov Plant.

2 details you messed up that I noticed:
1.) M14, the rifle was designed by Springfield Armory, however it was manufactured by multiple other companies including Winchester.
2.) Stoner 63A, this was manufactured by Cadillac Cage when Eugene Stoner worked there and designed it. The Stoner you’re thinking of that was designed by KAC is the Stoner LMG/LAMG.
The Krig has some notable inaccuracies as well. The handguard doesn't look like that. The stock is wonky. It's missing a takedown pin. It has a bolt catch (the Ak5a does not) and the last thing I noted, parts of the sling is still attached to the carbine but there's no sling.
Well it is wery simmilar but yeah the bolt catch isn't there

The ump looks like a mix of the ump and the mpl.
actually the mp5 is and mp5a4 becasue the previous versions prior to the a4 had to decock the bolt to reload. the inspect shows you dont have too.
I just googled it and I didn't think the AKS-74u was manufactured at Tula, but for whatever reason it is the one single AK I know of that was made at Tula Arms Plant instead of Izhmash. Either Wikipedia is wrong or something very interesting happened.

But seeing how you can massacre the Mac maybe it’s for the better
Yes the 703 is the r700 but the bullets are to short to be a 300 wm. It looks as if the rifle is a 308 or 30-06
Only thing to add is the awm is also available in 300 win magnum and 338 lapua
I wish the Hauer could slam fire like the Ithica
To be extremely precise the "AUG" is called STG77, so the full name would be STEYR STG77 A1, for someone who has worked with this gun for quite some time i pissed my pants of laughter when i saw it having a 3-round-burst in the game XD.
