I’ve had Musio for about a year now. Started with the subscription just to browse and see if I would use it. I have all the top sample libraries, if I can’t find that one sound, Musio always saves me. Long story short, I bought Musio 1 and never looked back, it’s fantastic. Right now it’s on sale for $199, would definitely recommend you get it. Christopher, I appreciate the videos and your hard work buddy, it’s noticed

They need to make this more clear. It feels like they don't really know themselves the limit of Musio 1, or they don't want to tell us. At least I did not find it in their texts.
I still really enjoy Musio and I don't want to be without it. I hope they will succeed with their idea.

Totally fair! I think it’s all a work in progress, testing the market, etc. so I’ll continue to update as they make changes!

they did answer that question in their live session Jens, normally, musio 1 was the itteration for 2023 (but they went some months over), meaning, everything they made till the end of that year is musio 1, musio 2 will be in 2024, musio 3 in 2025, and so on, they also said if you bought musio 1 and they update the player or add things like multiple mics, they will be included for free to the libraries you already have in your musio 1 player, hope that answers your question

@@ronnyb5890 Ahh, I see. I hope they get it into a written form as well.
From what you say it sounds like we pay for the batch of instruments and not really the player. A fine approach because it's nice to get bug fixes in Musio 1 even when Musio 2 is out.

They had an earlier sale this year twice that put the perpetual license at $199. I managed to nab it and am very happy with the dive :)

I hope Musio does not increase their prices. Their price was higher in the past, and the price drop was quite steep, so who knows if this will be sustainable for Musio?

hi Chris, as a music hobbyist i love musio, i was one of the few that bought the all perpetual license some time ago
musio has not only great sounds but also nice people, the kind that listen to their users, not like some other ones i know
i, and many other i think asked for an all download button, because you would otherwise have to click on every articulation
to download it, we asked, they delivered, thats service, cheers mate

i dont get subscription plugins, you end up spending more than what the plugin would have cost you up-right over a few years

$400 spread across 40 months (if you pay monthly) is definitely a cheaper option especially for starting out. Sure, for long term it's better to buy it right away, but for example, I, myself don't have $399 laying around to spend on a library. 10$ is a bargain for that amount of content. Ideally, sub for a few months, create good client base, save up some money, and then buy the perpetual license.

They have a free trial for 30 days with no credit card needed. If you are not sure, start with that one. It's unusual to have a demo version for sample libraries / plugins.
As a sidenote I have contacted every major sample library developer (Spitfire, Fracture Sounds, Musical Sampling etc) and asked them to offer demo versions but so far I have convinced no one. Server load and admin costs prevent them from going that way. But I still think that if Musio can, everyone can, I they really want to.

I got in at the beginning with the Lifetime Musio early adopter's deal at $500 (normally $1000). I have to wonder if that is now considered Musio 1 or Musio 2? It had better be 2. :)
