Well, this has finally pushed me over the edge to start my big boy build. Please do this again next year. My wallet will hate you, but my ears will love you. Peter and Edy, keep doing what you're doing. The evidence is here. Most of these "amateur" builds have the potential to rival or surpass most of the top shops. Proud to be a member of this community.
I definitely want to say thanks to all the contributors. I didn't get to find time to share but have definitely been inspired by everyone and I can see how happy this wonderful hobby makes all of us. Thank you Peter for organizing this and best of luck to everyone and I hope the winner gets what they need to bring their build to the next level.
I just want to say thanks to all the contributors sharing their builds and experiences👍 @Glenn, I was probably about 5 years behind you in this game. After a few years of competing at national level, I moved on to a position as an IASCA SQ judge too. I am also pretty handy at tuning passive crossover by ear, and cutting a perfect circle with a jigsaw - skills absolutely no-one needs anymore! 😅 That AudioControl SA-3050A brings back memories..
I got really good at cutting a perfect circle with a jigsaw as well😹. I was a poor college student at the time. I finally bought my first router circle jig this past year. Getting back into the car audio scene after a 30 year hiatus is gonna be fun. I plan to share my story from day 1 in the Patreon Group. Stay “Tuned”
Peter, Agh I need to get back on your Patreon. I lost my bank card and got a new one with a new number. I allowed my Patreon account to expire and never put in a new payment method. Not to mention that I just didn’t have much time to stay on top of all the videos. I’m sure I’ve missed so much. I haven’t even been watching the CZcams videos. The winter is here and I’m now going to have a little bit more time on my hands. Time to get back In the game!!!
Thanks Jussi I really enjoyed making my video and seeing what everyone is doing is just so awesome. I hope EVERYONE in our Patreon group will post a video of their progress. Peter contributes soo much, but I see the value of ALL of us posting will be beneficial to all.
Thanks Tony, Sometimes it pays to be lucky🤞🏽 I feel like I won the car audio Lotto☺️ I encourage ALL Patreon’s to put up videos. There is soo much to be learned from each other, even Peter might pick up something 🙃 Please take the time
I really love how professional your work is, still don't understand the ib way of installing the speakers making the speaker play outside of the car. But I'm sure it's because I have never heard it before. An sure it sounds amazing if you guys are doing it...
Love your content! Caused Me to get my best sounding system put together, but haven’t found someone to do a good tune! 😢 Thanks for doing quality work!
Peter, if you did fly to America to tune Glen's system, you could probably schedule tunes for as long as you wanted to be here and pay for an extended vacation. ;)
Please watch the first video in the Tuning playlist and check the description in it. You can also join the RTA in cars group on Fb, there’s some useful info there.
Hey, if I'm using passive crossover from my components kit, do I just turn off all the setting on my amp, and just rely on the gain and filters in the passive crossovers?
I didn't submit because I'm currently in the process of a major upgrade, but here is the entry I would have submitted, had this happened a couple of months ago! czcams.com/video/Vk_W7pzpJ18/video.html
I’m curious what you mean by this? Even Peter himself said he was getting inspiration from the builds, what are type of out of box thinking do you have in mind? Sincere question.
That’s because what Peter does is inside and outside the box. With what he does works very well and proven to work very well over the years of trial and error from Peter. Why wouldn’t we take his years of experience and apply it to our builds? What are some things that you have done that Peter hasn’t done. That you consider to be outside the box? It’s not a smart ass question, I’m honestly curious….

Incredible video and great viewing
Congrats Glen, have fun with your tuned system :-)
Thanks so much Daniels.
I think Peter implied that he might tune my car. I haven’t decided my prize, but a Tune if feasible is quite tempting 😉
Gratz to Glen! Awesome videos! :)
Thanks Jussi

You’re looking at it wrong. They don’t play to the outside, but to the inside of the car. The car is the box.

Hello Peter, how are you? What materials do you use in ib to prevent water ingress? Thanks
Hi,
Same grill foam you see on PA speakers.
what is a good mic to use when tuning? this will be my first mic
and know roughly how to use rew any videos you have or info you can give me?
Please watch the first video in the Tuning playlist and check the description in it.

@@pssound9749 i wil! thank you for the reply
The wind buffeting that microphone is hard to listen to, you might try one of those furry covers, they seem to work well .

It would be great to have a share folder for all our member videos on Patreon.
I would def wanna see the future progress of your build. 👍🏼👍🏼
Everyone learns from you but no one thinks outside the box and it's a shame
I’m curious what you mean by this? Even Peter himself said he was getting inspiration from the builds, what are type of out of box thinking do you have in mind? Sincere question.
Yeah I don’t get it either.
