That Womba chasing her through the woods was the funniest.
It really is. I remember seeing that one when it premiered on the show, and I've never forgotten that scene of Maya running through the field with that look of fear on her face!

Woomba sounds like something you think of in a dream that made sense then but not when you wake up.
Like most SNL sketches.
I had a dream two days ago that the quarantine was over and I was going to my girlfriend cookout with a bunch of other people I didn't know. We got in the bus. After stopping a red light, a woman told everyone to get out and that we're all there for the cookout. The woman tells the bus driver before I walked to the door "don't let anyone else out" I said to the bus driver "let me out the hell out, this is my stop". I got off and asked the woman where the hell is my girlfriend and everyone else that got off the bus to go to the cookout. She started crying because I yelled at her. She told me that she'll take me to my girlfriend. We walked into a hospital filled with people but I didn't see my girlfriend or the people on the bus. I stopped following the woman and told her "I dropped my ID outside" because I had a feeling to get out of there. The woman was calling my name at least 3 or 4 times. All of a sudden I turned around, the woman had a flower vase walking slowly to me and said "I blocked the entrance" I reached for my pocket knife but I woke up before I pulled it out. I think the dream was trying to tell me something. Dreams warns you about something that's going to happen
So what would happen if you put roomba and woomba in a room together

I died at the kotex ad. Thank God "there's got to be a better way" mentality exists. Those sanitary pads back when I first started having my periods felt like lugging around a miniature loaf of bread btw your thighs. I remember the first time Always Nigeria came to our school to introduce the thin winged pads (I attended an all girls boarding school), the crowd went wild. Every student got a sample pack at the end of the presentation. Finally, there was a better way!

They really nailed the style of this genre of commercial, and commercials in general. Some of the funniest bits for me are the knowing looks directly into the camera after saying something absurd.

Commercial parodies have always been my favorite part of SNL.
This may be one of the best skits that SNL has done for women!! The Woomba zipping up her leg....I can't even. The expressions and faces are priceless!!

Gloomy Doll it’s a piss take on many levels but one thing that springs (pun intended) to mind is the coil; a product I’ve never understood the desire to use
@@jonanice The coil only hurts when it gets put in and then you can be pretty much carefree for 3-5 years. I mostly didn't have any periods or cramping and you don't feel it at all. Plus it's statistically the most effective form of contraception

The commercial parodies are THE BEST. I swear they break out their best writing and directing on these things. The editing, the music, everything is not only spot on but so freaking funny! Can't get enough. The re-watch value is also through the roof. No matter how many times I have watched these, they are still funny af.

Nails it! I remembered finding my moms “belt”. 4yrs old and playing around the house until mom saw it & had a fit.
OMG. I stopped watching SNL a long time ago so was unaware of these parodies. Made me laugh so hard and brought me to tears. I can’t imagine the ladies who made these skits got through rehearsals without cracking up over the irreverence and silliness.
OMG I remember when I was a very young teen getting my period at my grandmother's house. She gave me a pad from the sixties and it had strings on it for where they were supposed to be tied to a belt. No sticky pads. (This was the 1990s, btw.) I seriously had no idea wtf and just panicked then tied it to my underwear. It sucked.
That's a funny story. I don't think I knew about the belt until i saw this video.

Most of these are from when Tina Fey was on the show, because Tina Fey is a comedic genius.
I noticed the change in SNL tone from previous decades when Tina Fey joined the cast. She ushered in the era of humor about and for women that was really seen as taboo before. I don't think people give her enough credit for this.
TINA FEY wrote the Colonel Angus sketch. Her fingerprints are all over these commercials!
