  • In this video I drive my Toyota Yaris GR road car. The works car won the WRC championship in 2019 with Ott Tänak, in 2020 and 2021 with Sébastien Ogier, and in 2022 with Kalle Rovanperä, mainly to demonstrate the angry engine sound rather than speed. Currently I am filming a new Cotswolds based video with my GR to be be completed in a while.

    A man of great taste in cars, 2 cars that are fun to drive in totally different ways.

    Mark! Please give us another detailed review of the GR Yaris, in the same way you did the old black S2000. Enjoy the new car and keep well!

      Adriaan, I am currently filming a more accomplished GR video in The Cotswolds. On your very kind recommendation I am now considering an extra piece along the lines you have said but surely there are so many good 'reviews' on CZcams already? Please let me have your comment on this.

      @@Country_Car You are entirely accurate in your observation. It might even be argued that GR Yaris reviews are rather saturated by now. However, the way you narrate and film is truly a differentiator. The traction the original video got is in no small part due to the way in which you present information, and pack it all together in a concise, immersive way. It's up to you! I'm sure it's no small effort to produce such a film. Regards

      Thank you for your kind comments. I am in the process of filming a 'GR explores The Cotswolds' video but it might take 2 years to complete.

    do you use auto rev match feature?

    • @Country_Car
      @Country_Car  Před rokem

      That's a great question - no. I have always practiced 'heal and toe' driving since my early rally days and found it almost impossible with the GR so tried the auto rev match function but found it didn't work well because the break and clutch peddle are too far apart for my right foot. Since I fitted a bolt-on extension to the clutch peddle it is much easier to heal and toe. The item is well made and available on-line. The only other item I fitted is an aluminum block inside the rear view mirror bracket cover which raises the mirror about 10cm to give a better forward view. Have you watched my other GR video :- czcams.com/video/WbJNd0wAAKI/video.html

    Perfect car for the roads. Is this a new addition to the S2000?

      Thanks for your kind comments, the GR really is an easy car to drive, and yes I still have the S2000.
