I lived in Pattaya for 2.5 years and I miss Witherspoons. Great food, always fresh. The first few times I ate at Witherspoons was when it was by Soi Pothole. Back home in the states working, now recovering from a hip surgery. I miss the simple life of Pattaya. Hopefully I will go back in a year or two and retire...again.

David you're a lucky man....I've been living and going to Thailand for 30 years and I gotta say I've never seen a Thai woman who was so attentive and loving to a Farlang...Nong is 1 in a million...you both seemed so well matched...Keep putting out the great food videos...love them...take care
What happens when payments stop?
You clearly have been dating the wrong way. Nong makes her own money working at her salon. I do however provide the accommodation and meals, but no payments. 🙏

Anyways keep doing the food reviews....There's a good Japanese restaurant at the Japanese hotel complex on the road to Phala beach in Ban Chang....you should check it out...:)

Without commenting on Dave’s life I’d say ‘love’ here (19 years here) is more of a symbiosis plus. The tradition western concept of love is flawed imo. Hope you find a good’ un.

Gota admire a girl good at Poole. I learned Thai restaurants that sell beef are buffalo. Tough and dry . I look for a sign of Australian beef and you have to pay accordingly when you want a decent steak.

You are living the dream David, if only you could enjoy a bit of spicy food and seafood you'd have it all. Both are pretty good pool players too which is one of my favourite ways to chill out on a Sunday with a couple of beers.
Those two things I can happily live without Mike. We both enjoy the pool playing, although we both seem to have hit a ceiling 🤣🤣
Hello David and Nong. Had the pleasure of enjoying a few beers and food at Witherspoons on my recent trip. Food and service top notch.
Behind the pretty façade, Nong is a real pool shark, and you are not too bad yourself. The nights with Neal and at Cobra keep you sharp.
Neil now has a table in his room, so I'm playing much more. Nong however is still my Cryptonite and regularly gives me a beating 🙏🙏

I can’t believe how negative you are to a Thai BBQ (Mukataar). I had it and loved it….I see what you mean about the meat…but I just pigged out on the seafood! Live fresh shrimp, crab, oysters, and soooo much more! With a great Tom Yum! Incredible value for 389 on second road Jomtien!

After over 15yrs with my Thai wife I still play the not spicy game. It goes like “ darlink you want to try, I say spicy or not, she says no not spicy “ I try and she laughs at the pain I’m going through when it burns the crap out of my mouth.
Congratulations on your 15 years together Dave. I gave Nong one of my tacos this week....she said OMG spicy, last night I had a Massaman which was probably the spiciest I have eaten, Nong thought it wasn't spicy at all. I think it's only Thai Chilli I struggle with 🤣🤣
@@DavidAndNong cheers David. I’ve spent a lot of time in Pattaya since 1989 but haven’t been to Thailand since 2019 so I love watching both your channels to see how things have changed. There used to be a place on 3rd called Cherries, man the food there was good, gone now I see, very sad.

You are to right about steak last month in pattaya I ordered a T bone and asked for well done even used the translator and a picture to say what I wanted still to raw been going to Thailand for 20yrs always the same

Had the 2 meat roast 200 Baht total joke 2 small slices off dried chicken plus 1 slice of pork half off which fat.wont be returning.
I've found the best roast to be Time bar, but things change here regularly 🙏🙏

Terrible breakfast, crap sausage, but other meals from my experience lovely. But not proper roast spuds deep fried.
Never tried the breakfast there, somewhere like Kungs, Devonshire or Bake n Brew (not UK style) would be my choiceS
I will be back again in wetherspoon August. I always play pool there, I win the first game then lose the rest, and thai women are very good.
The issue with large menus is that the food in bought frozen, cooked from frozen and heated up in a microwave. A business would need loads of fridges and hobs to cook all that menu from fresh not to mention hoards of chefs for the prep. I would rather eat non processed fresh food
