- Today We find out, Is Fenty Soft Lit Foundation mature skin approved. I also have dry, textured skin with Pores. I purchased this foundation because so many of the boxes were checked for what I am looking for in a foundation. I was so excited about this one. I saw the ads over on IG and thought, this may be the one I have been searching for. Well, get ready for a roller coaster ride, because that is what this whole video is. I feel like I may be the only person in the beauty community this did not work on! 🤦♀️😭 should I give it another try or accept the outcome and that it just doesn't agree with my skin. I just don't understand how so many LOVE the foundation, and for me, it just wouldn't work. Please let me know 🙏

Hey Laura - I just watched a handful of reviews & a couple people with dry/mature skin had to work at it. It doesn't seem to like fine lines & texture and I have both. It looked best on gals with smoother skin.

It wouldn’t hurt to try it again. I remember you doing that with some other foundations. And it’s ok if you don’t love it when so many do. Everyone is different. 😉💜
Hi Laura, I feel give it one more time ( third time the charm) , also maybe after you use the blotting paper, use a little / lightly milled setting powder around your nose area or forehead to stop the creasing,then use the foundation on top, see if that helps ( please let me know if this tip helps, ). Laura if I were you I would call it a fail, you tried it twice and it bunched up in your lines and showed you lines that you did not even know you had. I have had those results with foundations before and I take them back, it is not worth the trouble when we have so many beautiful choices in other skin tints and foundations. If I look older with a foundation away it goes lol

I do t like products that I have to make work, I end up never using it. Return it! My opinion about the Valentino concealer is the same as yours 👎🏻. Your eye look is gorgeous, I love that palette. Much love🩷
I couldn't agree with you more if you have to make something work that hard it is definitely not worth it I am so happy that you had that same experience with the Valentino concealer that always makes me feel like I'm just not overreacting to a product. I agree Grace I've always said we shouldn't work too hard to make our makeup work they are just certain makeup that does not agree with our pH or skin type and this was one of them I think the only other Foundation I had that I could not make work on my skin was the one size byPatrick Star. Honestly it may work just fine for you I think I am the only person in the world that this Foundation didn't have work on LOL I have been watching a lot of reviews and everyone absolutely loves it. Hey honey! I have never had luck with fenty foundations. The matte is one of the worst I’ve ever tried and the hydrating one looked great for the first few hours, then broke up completely on my face. When she released this i didn’t look twice. I have to learn to use what works and stop trying everything else. In spite of the foundation, your eyeshadow look is gorgeous ❤

I've seen a few reviews of the foundation on mature skin, and it seems that it doesn't get along with fine lines, wrinkles and even large pores.
It's a bummer, because it's money spent. 😢😢😢

You're not the only one who advised me that their comment isn't showing 🤔 I don't know what youtube is up to! It's very weird, though. Check your email, I did respond there. I think this works on all skin, including dry. I think it just may be questionable for mature skin. It really wanted to set in my wrinkes. I have been watching other reviews and it seems like every other person absolutely loves it so it could have been just something with my skin that day or possibly it just doesn't work with the sunscreens I was using. I will try it one more time, maybe with a gripping a primer, but it doesn't work then, then it just doesn't work. Have a wonderful weekend. Thanks for letting me know about the missing comment. I would try it with your normal primers and powders. To me it looks nice but you know your skin and can see it closer than we can. I would give it one more try 😊
I think I will try it one more time with maybe a more gripping primer and definitely some powder. I do think that the side with the powder looked a lot better and lasted a lot longer. Like I was mentioned, it looked fine from a distance, but when I looked on my 10 times mirror, it was frightening, LOL. I look at all of my foundations that I use with my 10 times mirror, and they did not look like that. If it doesn't work with this next primer and powder, then it's definitely not agreeing with my skin 🤞🙏🤞🙏 for the next time I try it. XOXO 😘

Honestly sweetheart I think it's going to work on your skin beautifully. I think it is a great foundation for dry skin, and definitely, if you don't have a lot of wrinkles. You do not have them, so I think for you it's going to work for sure, but I'm definitely interested to hear your thoughts as well. XOXO 😘
Never tried Fenty, but so many foundations do this on my skin anymore. That’s why I like a light to medium coverage anymore. I’ve been using Ciele and I love it. It has Niacinamide in it but doesn’t, so far, cause the reaction.
I have been seeing a lot of reviews on that Foundation as well. Maybe I should give that one a try. I hope my skin isn't going through one of its phases cuz that could be the problem. XOXO 😘

I wanted this to work so bad too because like I mentioned, everything that I look for in a foundation was in the claims. I just can't believe I am the only one that had a bad experience all the other influencers I have been watching absolutely love this product what is wrong with my skin LOL yes I used nail mucin every single day with all my foundations and never have had a problem thank you so much for watching and just because it didn't work for me doesn't mean it won't work for somebody else especially like I mentioned with so many other creators trying it and loving it it just does not like me 😭🤣 XOXO 😘
Hello beautiful Laura!!🌻 Not me, here for the 💩 show, lol...aww, I know how frustrating it is to try something and get a different outcome than expected. It left a nice glow on your skin. You might want to try a silicone primer, pretty sure Fenty is silicone based. Fill in the tiny lines and around the nose so the foundation can't settle in there. Sometimes we do have to play around when it comes to foundation, brush or sponge, glowy base or not, ect..and it doesn't take too long to figure out if it's for our skin or not.

Fenty is bothering you and Amazon is frustrating me when it comes to the TirTir. I got my order in and first noticed the sticker seal over the box was torn. My heart sank a little, but I was thinking maybe it got like that in shipping, box was smooshed too. But NO, I was so excited to try it, but it had been USED!! I'm talking the seal over the cushion removed, foundation smeared where the puff sat, and the puff looked like it was starting to mildew, like someone tried to wash it🤢 I was so upset and aggravated, I was past ready to try it, lol. Anyways, they sent me another one, arriving tomorrow. I don't think my heart can take it if this one is used too. I've seen reviews before where people claimed something was used and couldn't understand that, I thought they throw all returns into warehouse where people bid on boxes, even pallets of Amazon returns?! And you'd think they'd throw out an obviously used makeup product. Anyways, thought I'd share my makeup woes, while your having yours, lol.

I felt like washing it off is starting over immediately, but I wanted to try to make it work. I believe the elf sunscreen is a silicone based product. But I think I will try it one more time with like a more gripping primer just to see if that does help. I also believe it could have just been a bad skin day. I know I get so bummed that it doesn't show what I am seeing. I am looking at it with my 10 times mirror but I look at all my foundations with that mirror and I can't even tell you how horrible it looked. I wish there was a way that it would come through to where you could see how it was almost separating I am so tempted to try it one other time though because I seriously am the only Creator I have seen that have had such a bad experience with it I just don't understand. This one totally has me stumped but I definitely don't want to keep it like you mentioned it wasn't cheap thanks so much for watching and hopefully you made it through the whole video because I really tried my hardest to make it work. Its possible that because its a very heavy dimethicone/silicone based foundation, it might need a silicone based primer. Water based products will make it separate
I tried it with both! The elf sunscreen is a silicone based sunscreen. I think it just doesn't like my skin 😭

Here we go again! Two high-end products that just don't work! I actually thought the first application looked better than the second, but neither one really worked for you at all! The coverage wasn't there, and it really did look like it was wearing you, as it were! It's not worth it, imo. Return it and use that $40 on something that is more worth your time!! You have so many other products that look fantastic on you!

I couldn't agree more, Linden. When I have drugstore products that look way better and last much longer. It's silly to keep this. I just wish I wasn't the only one who didn't work on LOL. I’m just curious-have you ever tried any of the Merle Norman foundations? I used to use that a couple decades ago and loved it, but wonder if anyone has a take on it nowadays?
Back in the day, I remember using that brand. It was actually considered high-end if I remember. I honestly didn't even realize they were still around. Now you'll have me looking lol. 😉😘
I still actually use my very favorite lip product from them-a dual ended lipstick & liner pencil in Wild Berry. We STILL have a Merle Norman store in our downtown here! and I know they have an online presence.
