Expensive one is mostly for commercial places that serve a lot of cold drinks like Restaurants, Pubs, Disco tek's etc., Cheap one is mostly for families, personal use which already present in most of the house holds. All you need is bigger the family bigger the ice tray. Now that there are fridges that make fast ice cubes I don't see costly one being there for personal use
The machine he showed is actually for personal use. It does make a lot of ice per day but not enough for commercial uses. The ice tray in the machine holds less than 1 kg of ice.
