shakira was actually an existing character during sameer's childhood, she was a maid at their house. Sameer got attracted and started loving the beauty of shakira which caused him to have a split personality disorder. So basically Shakira was an existing character during the young age of sameer and shakira basically manipulated Sameer to become a woman and Shakira is still in sameer's mind till date. (this was said by yumna zaidi in an interview btw)
Sameer had a huge emptiness of mother's love in his life, so after losing his own mother and being neglected and abused by his stepmother he started to think SHAKRA as his mother,🙄🙄, don't speak like stupid, he was a child, not a man who can fall for a woman or get attracted to, its SHAKRA who gave him mothers love, so it is normal for him to obey her even in her absence,(that's why he used to portray SHAKRA'S role as a split image) their relationship was not like what you think, it was more of a holy type of relation with dependence, friendship, bond, faith, trust, satisfaction....only ray of hope for SAMEER, which gave him energy during daylight, this imaginary role gave him strenght

For those who don't understand the story of Shakra: Shakra was a maid in Sameer's house who got raped by Sameer's father, and gave birth to a baby. The baby was ordered to be killed and Shakra was sent to an asylum by Sameer's father where her mental health got affected and she became partially psycho; mentally disturbed. She came back for revenge and poisoned Sameer's father... She later told her plans to Sameer's stepmother Sabiha that she killed her husband to which Sabiha showed no reaction as she only wanted money. Shakra took the responsibility to take care of Sameer, her main motive to convert him into a woman because she hates men and doesn't want him to become like his own father. Sabiha locks Shakra and Sameer in the cellar on daily basis whenever Sameer misbehaves. Sabiha is unaware of the fact that Shakra is actually developing a split-personality disorder in Sameer and when she finds this out, she sends Shakra to jail where she dies. This highlights that Sameer also has PTSD as he keeps seeing the figure of Shakra who isn't alive anymore. She may be a ghost. Hence, the writer knows better. Hope u like this explanation! Thanks!

Kashif and Gohar will heal both patients. One is physically handicapped and the other has psychological problems. Learning lesson in this story is that instead of being selfish in love both Kashif and Gohar will heal two other human beings lives who were in a distressed situation in life.

Sameer is not transgender or gay, because of his father who btw left his mother for another woman, he has become a mental patient. He is suffering from split personality disorder and the character Shakira is image of his own mother in his mind. Looking at the views of Shakira expressed till now it has become evident that sameer in his childhood really hated his dad decision to marry another woman.While he was mourning for his mom, he saw his step mother as the "evil witch" and developed a DID "Dissociative Identity Disorder" which is a serious mental disease and since nobody has tried to cure him and mistook him as transgender, his split personality has taken over his mind in a way that he has become a murderer.

In the original movie "Psycho" (1960) we are introduced to Norman Bates who also has Dissociative Personality Disorder where his own mother (who is possessive of his own son) is his other persoality and he dresses, talks and acts like her . Same as Sameer hes taking on the personality of his real or imagined caretaker Sameera who he is highly attached to and Sameera's personality is possessive of Sameer hence he kills his love as his other personality "Sameera" cannot allow him to be with someone else.
This has nothing to do with being transgender, gay or anything this is all a personality disorder where a person has no recollection of reality and when the other personality clicks in its chaos, refer to the movie "Glass" (2019) for something similar

Sameer has some kind of personality disorder, he is not gay or transgender. He had a traumatic childhood and I think Shakira was his caretaker when he was young and she was the only person in his childhood days who loved and cared for him. Sameer also was close to her and loved her, he didnt want to lose her but mayb for some reason she had to leave and she parted from him. Since Sameer doesnt want to lose her and wants her in his life this separation has affected his mind and he has developed the character of shakira within himself.

The story is inspired by Bengali novel Ami o Amra by Humaun Ahmed. In that book the main lead character was transgender who came to know about his trans identity in his adolescence, however in his denial he made up a artificial character in his mind who protected him from those people who knew his true trans identity and also from the girl he loved.
