Thanks for showing the wire jumping and twist and pull tip is nice! Thank you

Excellent video. I have a 2010 suburban with the 5.3 vortec and same symptoms. I've checked and changed fuses 4, 5, 12, 21, and 56. I also installed new fuel pump and Fuel sending module. I jumped the harness and fuel pump came on strong. I purchased the preprogrammed module from O'Reilly and still nothing. I'm guessing I'll need a mechanic/dealership to program the module next.

What a good video, thank you. I was interested to see you can jump across the module to prove the module is bad. It made me wonder if one might be able to avoid a tow by temporarily jumping across the module to get the vehicle home. On the other hand, that might cause a problem by forcing a continuous run from the pump. Is there a waste fuel line going back into the tank for excessive fuel, like old style pressure regulators? I wouldn't want to run the pump to excessive high pressure and blow the pump while trying to get the vehicle home.... Presumably the module takes pressure feedback from the line and adjusts a PWM performance cycle from the pump. What do you think?

This system is a returnless system that uses PWM power supply to regulate the fuel pressure/volume. You probably could jump it to force it to run but it may damage the pump. I’m not totally sure. Thanks for the feedback though! Appreciate it!

Does the key need to be in the on position when jumping the those wires to see if the pump comes on?

I had the same issue, replaced fuel pump truck would run, then it would show u0109 replaced module still shows u0109 but runs as should I think, weird and annoying issue. Went to junkyard got a fuse box that didn’t take care of it either

I think that's what my truck needs. Fuel pump replaced but didn't fix issue. does the doorman one come pre-programmed with and for electric brakes? Great video btw 👌

Yes as he said in the video, the dorman fuel pump control modul is pre-programed and ready to go

What if I hear the fuel pump kick on but no pressure at the fuel rail? Could the pump still be faulty or could it be with the module? Thanks

I got my fuel pump control module replaced and reprogrammed, and my check engine light is still on for the control module. Would it be a wiring issue?? My code that pops up is P069E

My truck started shutting off and dash gauges started going crazy. I took the fuel pump control module fuse out everything went back to normal but it wouldn’t crank. I’m thinking there’s a shortage in it somewhere

so i had just replaced my module about a week ago. my truck started, but kind of chugged. after a minute, she ran good and i was able to drive it home. about 2 days ago, i started her up, and she wouldn’t stay running. does the module need to be relearned or do i have a bad module?

Hey i got an issue, my 2003 gmc yukon keeps having issues every time i drive it, my truck messes up and shows on the dash reduced engine power and stability control system. Any idea on what it could be? My mechanic couldnt figure it out and ive seen your older video about the reduced engine power but since both of these lights come on i dont know if it is something different.Im just not sure on what i could do to fix it myself since my mechanic couldnt figure it out. If anyone has any ideas on what it could be id highly and greatly appreciate it, thank you.

Have you had the vehicle scanned? If so, what codes are active when the issue presents itself?

@@nmaauga check the fuse for the control module and replace the control module , mine started shorting things out in my dash to the point to where it wouldn’t start , that module may have a shortage in it.
