Repaint the black on the hood and tops of fenders. Get a paintless dent repair guy to straighten up the body and buff it. It is so original. What a find.
Congratulations on yet another AMAZING find. I love RoadRunners, I know you can't get on this one anytime too soon but I'm looking forward to the next vid on this car. Don't sell this one Chris, it's your only Road Runner and unless you pay tens of thousands of dollars, you won't find a better one. Truly an amazing car - the way it roared back to life after 30 years....WOW!
What a jewel frozen in time....Running now...W0W how cool is that....I drove one of these when it was new for about a year....Back in Tampa Fla...Kinda tell you how old l am now....Thanks man...Awesome stuff you do....!
Chris, there you are...haven't seen you in a bit ...I had a Road Runner just like this ..but mine was a B5 Blue ..great find !! And she purrs off the get go !! Glad to hear you got you're property if I had the $$ I would of bought you're " Grench " . Great seeing you again .
What an amazing find!! And the good running engine is a great bonus! The car seeemed very incomplete at first, but look at the complete front end! Congratulations!!
I was surprised that it wasn’t locked up with the carb being gone! Awesome find, would like to watch transformation if possible. Thanks for sharing your videos
Good find. I was working for Chrysler Corp. when we were building those cars. As a powertrain engineer, it always makes me smile when I see one brought back from the grave.
Great find!!!!! Its amazing how many old Mopar's are still out there to be found! And not rusted, bent, twisted wrecks that I still restore and after the work,it was worth it,but to find a clean car like this is well golden lol!!! I always liked 383's I could get 25 mpg with them without opening up the 4bbl!!
That no only runs but it runs good. That is amazing I was not expecting it to even run.Guy must have parked because it had carb problems and didnt know how to fix it. Great find wow man. All the hardware for the grill too. No rust just amazing finding that. Road runner iconic car and I cannot wait for to see the next video.
Nice find Chris, I love it! Can't wait to see it in driving condition. So far I think this is my second favorite car behind Patina. We could use an update on Patina by the way brother.
Damn Chris, sure brings back memories. My third Mopar (being first was a 72 340 Duster, but first running car a 70 Road Runner (also an N96 car) was a 69 RM21N code Runner......only option it had was literally suregrip 3.23s...no power brakes, steering or even a radio! Fun car for a lil 120lb when wet teenager (this was around 2003-2004).
That car has great bones. I'm a long time roadrunner guy and I do have a copper bronze 69 and a lime green 70. An awesome find. Both were 383 cars. The 70 is a 4 speed bench seat car. Love em both. 440's are the power now. Hope you enjoy the roadrunner.
My dad had a red road runner 383 4 speed car with the air grabber hood and was the love of his life then he met mom and some time after I came along, I'd like to think I was conceived in that car lol but who knows I never asked. I think dad got rid of it when he and mom still lived in Atlanta GA, so if your seeing this comment and have a red RR you bought from a good ole boy from the mountain's of NC named Michael and was sporting a perm then HMU in the comments!! I only have one pic of it in the parking lot of an apartment complex in ATL with mom standing in front of it, But was told lots of stories about it from family and they said it was a bad ass ride. Never talked to dad about it cause unfortunately he died when I was 9 but mom told me about dad raising all manner of hell in it. Seeing this beauty brings back memories of those crazy stories!!!! Thanks for the Awesome content!!!!! Can't wait to see more of this time capsule lol!!!!
Luck is a word many people use to describe those upbeat profitable events that make their way into our lives as we make our way as best we can. Fortune cant enter without misfortune to balance the books.. Our youtubers would have everyone believe that every new day is a bigger and a more amazing adventure than the last.its a simple matter of editing out the boring and disappointing crap.
He is actually tame on his street lol...I used to peel out etc..I lived in a nice upper end neighborhood lol...I had 1 female who used to yell at me lol and 1 guy who calmly ,very calmly (probably scared as I am tall, muscular and was a fighter then did amateur boxing then) he talked politely to me and that's when I settled down..Yelling made me do it worse lol... I now live on acreage!! I had people who were fine with it,so it all depends...I didn't rev my engines much or do brake stands but left a 240 foot black mark form my 440 Chrysler 300,all stock(besides mufflers, duel plane intake, carb wasnt even the high performance magnum or tnt version the 350 hp probably 80 more at least with intake/carb/distributor and I found headers for it.original used to blow the doors off 5.0 Mustang 5 speed with that car! Was my daily driver, had a 73 Cuda 451 (400 stroker)4 speed and 4.56 gears car ran 10's back then street tires 275 60 series, engine wasn't really built 540 horse big cam I wanted it to rumble!!! We put a milder cam and did the heads she ran 10.0's I redid the bod exact 71 clone(I did that to my 72-74 Cuda-Barracuda's,sorrry guys) and my 68 Charger RT I owned for years..The Cuda would shake the windows of houses 2 doors down!!! lol,I want those days back, mainly because I was younger, single, females all the time and raced all the time...Drugs and Booze were good too lol!!! What the heck did I write, sorry for the blog!!!

Kool find. Miss my old mopars. Back in the 80s could pick em up for $200. They had no floors or 1/4 panels but a little elbow grease n some patch work.
Dam, most guys would have figured ahh the motors shot and just pulled it. That really sounded Good. Priming it and the extra oil was a big help I'm sure. Good find and a Great job.
Cool site man!! I love the old and forgotten muscle too!!! Love seeing new life in a forgotten unwanted muscle car . Today's cars have zero effect on me like the cars are grandparents and parents owned. I always liked going with my Dad and ordering a new car and actually checking off the boxes to the options you desired then you busted the guys balls for so much off and a full tank of gas and floor mats . Ya good times . Keep finding those cherries.
Oh yeah!!!! Whatta great find. Awesomeness at its best. Those front end parts in the trunk saved you some time and coin. Love the D slots on it. What year and how many miles?
Off the road since '89. Good times back then, riding dirtbikes and huge parties in the woods and rippin donuts in cars. Ive lived a lifetime and that car has been sitting since then.
Ahhhh. Hearing that stock gear-reduction starter crank that 383 into life is music to my ears! Not to mention the fact that the engine sounds strong & healthy. It will make one hell of a daily driver for sure!
