Two years ago before the infamous Pandemic I purchased my first Cuervo y Sobrino Watch I have fallen in love with the Brand. I now own 6 watches, one CYS Pocket Watch from 1912, and several Cuervo y Sobrino Fountain Pens so I would consider myself an Cuervo y Sobrino enthusiast. I hope that this Brand flourishes with new innovative watches and focuses on Quality Control, where precise watch making from Switzerland is known for. I think Massimo Rossi current CEO of CYS is taking the company in the right direction and it looks like Cuervo y Sobrinos is headed for a bright future. Excellent documentary of the Rise and Fall and Resurrection of the Brand, looking forward to the watches scheduled for their 140th anniversary plus newest watches on the Horizon.
@De Libros y Estilográficas - Pens and Books Hello, in my opinion the watch your considering is definitely unique, and will make a fantastic impression I think because of the color is what makes it say, "Hey I'm here" my first watch from this brand was a Cuervo y Sobrinos Prominente Solo Tiempo very similar just a bit less flamboyant bit I still get lots of compliments. Finally, my suggestion yes go for it...it's a beautiful watch!
Thankyou so much ,I was born and raised in Cuba on a small country town of Pinar del Rio in 1970, I have always been in love with the stories that my parents ,relatives and old people from the town were sharing with me, I moved to USA without knowing the Cuervo y Sobrinos story , it wasn't until a new friend that I met ,an old man that used to live in old Havana, that told me about it that I heard about it , now I own some antique wrist watches from 1950s ,including two rare ones for him and his wife that I gave them as birthday gifts. I watched the entire video and at the end i had tears all over my face.

Pero como esto no es cuestión de quién la tiene más larga sino de la CHORRADA que afirmas ... Pués me continuo riendo 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂
Wow como tienes relojitos. Entonces me puedes afirmar si es cierto lo que digo, con respecto a la calidad premium de los dial y demás componentes excluyendo el movimiento de CyS
@@Vigustus movimiento del los 2 que yo tengo es un 2892-2a con la masa oscilante firmada por CyS con entre 38 y 42 horas de reserva de marcha y espiral de silicio en ambos casos. Ni punto de comparación con los Manufactura del BLANCPAIN FF que además de 120h de reserva de marcha está basado en el movimiento de Frederique Piguet o del ZENITH el PRIMERO chrono de 50h de reserva y 36.000 alternancias, con ese maravilloso barrido del segundero. Por no hablar del movimiento del Chopard LUC con micro-rotor y 60h de marcha, por cierto todos en parámetros COSC aunque el Zenith por ejemplo no tenga el certificado. Sobre los diales y el nivel, dejando de lado los relojes estratosféricos y de precios desorbitados, comparar cualquier acabado de CyS con el GUILLOCHE del Fifty Fhatoms, su dial, los numerales en oro blanco , o el bisel de zafiro con Luminova es tan IRRISORIO que no merecería la pena ni seguir contestando a tan "inexacta y errónea" afirmación...y poco ayuda a una marca comentarios tan exagerados y sin ningún tipo de argumento o fundamento para defenderlos. CyS hace unos relojes muy personales, con una imagen muy reconocible, y unos acabados bastante buenos para su rango de precios. Además de ser muy loable el esfuerzo por tratar de revivir la historia de una marca mítica desaparecida, y tratando de ser fieles a ella y los modelos y estilos más icónicos de la marca. Cosas a mejorar?? Muchísimas -Quizá tratar de tener movimientos de mejor calidad y más actuales (las marcas de lujo ya están ofreciendo en su mayoría de modelos 60h de reserva de marcha y parámetros cercanos a Cosc) -mejorar la resistencia al agua de la mayoría de sus cajas, principalmente en relojes de vestir, que están limitadas a 3atm (lo mismo que cualquier cuarzo barato del mercado, o relojes vintage de los 70) -no modificar detalles de modelos sin cambiar la referencia (hay prominentes con el mismo dial y agujas sin y con lumen) unos con índices pintados y otros aplicados, o Robusto con 2 tipos distinto de agujas -sacar colecciones como los modelos Asturias, sin ninguna referencia real a la Comunidad, con agujas sin lumen ... y los índices tampoco (además teniendo en cuenta que la bandera es amarilla y azul, el del dial azul con lumen amarillo o agujas amarillas seria "brillante") Y puedo seguir así horas... Pero, y sin ánimo de ofender, ya has demostrado en tus intervenciones que no merece la pena. Eres perfectamente libre de seguir diciendo "que hacen las más bellas piezas que tú has visto" y cuando alguien te recomiende que veas más relojes para no decir semejante barbaridad (por mucho que el gusto sea subjetivo y personal) contestes la "bobada" de que "si tuviera no sé qué relojes..." Tu que sabes lo que tienen los demás, que tiene que ver, y aparte de sonar altivo, siempre te vas a encontrar con montones de gente que tendrán más y mejores cosas que tú

CyS hace unos relojes muy personales, con una imagen muy reconocible, y unos acabados bastante buenos para su rango de precios. Además de ser muy loable el esfuerzo por tratar de revivir la historia de una marca mítica desaparecida, y tratando de ser fieles a ella y los modelos y estilos más icónicos de la marca.
Cosas a mejorar?? Muchísimas
-Quizá tratar de tener movimientos de mejor calidad y más actuales (las marcas de lujo ya están ofreciendo en su mayoría de modelos 60h de reserva de marcha y parámetros cercanos a Cosc)
-mejorar la resistencia al agua de la mayoría de sus cajas, principalmente en relojes de vestir, que están limitadas a 3atm (lo mismo que cualquier cuarzo barato del mercado, o relojes vintage de los 70)
