- To all the people whining about the music, I've removed it.
To all the people whinging about only 5 crashes, this was a video I made for my friends with all original content from 2 days of riding. Go and search compilation videos if you are so upset by this.
All footage from March 15th/16th @ Taupo race track, New Zealand.
There was 4 of us that went down in this group and 3 of us crashed, one of us.. twice!
Not often you get to play with so much content (I hope it doesn't happen again), so I had fun making this, I hope you enjoy.
Credit to Alick Saunders Photography for the stills of my crash (R1)

Crashing can sadly be part of learning where your limits are. But you do learn from mistakes. I would love to take my bike out on a track day. It would be fun to open her up in a controlled safe place like a track. Nice video
Motorcycle video + music = watch for 3 seconds.
And why do you Click on a Motorcycl Video when you don't want to see it?
GermanAudiosurfVideo
I guess it's because he wants to hear the engines, not music.
B I N G O
Especially when the music is soooooo shitty
There is no music in the video!!!!
a beautiful video mate!!! The song reflects everything, well done
As your description states, you have listened a lot of feedback. I think most of the dislikes are, because of the video title refers, that this video is full of crashes. People are expecting to see a crash more often than just less than once per minute. More like one crash per 5-20 seconds. People are inpatient nowadays.
Can see dislikes now, so everything is all good
Very good video, nice of you that you've made that video for friends :)
Sorry for every single crash.. hope they didn't had much problems with their motorcycles.. 2:00 didn't seem to have much damage. hope so!
Greetings from Poland :)
This must be the best compilation on CZcams of how not to ride on a race track ;)
Great video,,,, and perfect choice of song. Well Done Mate!
awesome video!! And ultra nice video quality... what cameras are u using guys? Cheers
What kind of music was in the background? Thumbs up on it.
Very nice video!
For all out there who ask, the song title is Jakwob - Fade (Featuring Maiday)
Nice footage and editing.Great work. Sorry for these guys but it looks like everyone was ok. So keep having fun!!!
Was the R1 TCS switched off?
Just curious, what gearing have you got? Got a '12 myself.
Thankfully neither you or your friends were terribly hurt. What is the suit name at 2:57? Thank you
how did it happen with r1 and the next crush?
bad grip?
My man good video bro. Don't worry about those who complain. Some people need instant gratification and u r right, there are other places they can find that. Good luck in your future endeavors.
are those turns meant to end in a slide so you dont get hurt as bad?
Nicely produced Dan. Tell me what are you shooting with from the pit? A DSLR?
Hope you and bike are all good. Nice video anyway. The speed wobbles off track crash looked and felt familiar!
nice vid like the way u have edited it to give a chilled vibe !!!!
What kind of aprilla is that?
What the name of this song ?
hey dan i see you are from nz awesome to find another nz you tuber with good vids anyway im looking at getting a r1. so how do you like the r1 is there anything you dont like about it
Sick video man, keep it up!!
Nice editing, man.
Shame that there wasn't anothe foot of track, there, on that one wreck :)
I guest having named it that, you kinda asked for all the dislikes to be honest.

ok thank you i love the crossplane motor that was the main reason i have been looking at one. Thanks for the fast reply
Ah why is the music gone????
Nice song, nice editing. Love it!
Great vid bud :-) well put together n what's the name of the music? Good choice

I'd be keen to do one of those when the weather warms up, I'll see you down there :)
Atleast no one was hurt, nice track from the looks of it
I would cry if I wrecked my bike

what song ?
I have a question do you say height matters if you were to ride an r6?
nope, my dad rode one for ages and he's only 5"8
(on track)the shorter the better (on road) at least touch the ground well when bike is not moving
That track looks like fun!!! hope i can come around for a try some day...
He's a legend! helped me a lot.
friend what the title of this song please
I remember that weekend, so many crashes on the Sunday.
Seemed a lot of people set their pressures in the morning when it was really cold, then didn't check them and the temp went right up and everyone was overheating their tires and also getting tired from the two days at the track.
I remember our group was stopped 2 times for crashes in just one of the 15 minute sessions.
FYI I was on the green 04 ZX10R (you can see me right at the start at about 18s
Fall down, get up!!!! Still love the video!! Good stuff guys!
Супер. Красиво. Нету пока что байка, но я завидую их любви и желанию кататься не смотря ни на что.RESPECT!!!!!!!
Wow, man. Cutting the throttle like that (1:54) when your rear is that far broken out ... that could have been a MUCH nastier high side that it was. Glad you're OK to ride another day
Nice footage dude :-) I've got a 2000 R1 track day bike. I assume that was a track day?
Excellent - nice one Dan
What's the name of the themes song ????? i like it :X
nice video, seems like a fun track! no luck for the crashs :(
such a amazingly inspiring video...im so happy you didnt cut the engine noise in important parts...its realy great music dont listen to others kip up the good work
Geez, think i'm glad I didn't go now haha. Hope everyone and their bikes are recovering well.
wait I actually liked the music! great video.
What is the name of the song?
Jakjob ft. Maiday - Fade ;)
oh thank you so much.
Cheers, you too. I guess what I don't like; it's not exactly what I would call race ready from the factory like some of it's competitors. In saying that the suspension work / ecu tuning / gearing changes have transformed the bike. It's also one of the more expensive Japanese bikes to buy and modify in NZ. There is plenty to love about it though !
wich aprilia is at 00:26?
RS125
Man, that's one day we won't forget easily. Poor mangled fairings.
Quite funny in hindsight, but there were times I felt like pooz afterward, looking at the trashed bike and all.
What is this song?!?!
nice vid. I was there a week and a half ago on a private track day, it was awesome but very cold and found it hard to get the heat in my tyres. My mate crashed his cb1000r that day, the medic picked him up and crashed his bike later that day on the same spot.
Is it just me or are most of them where they are cornering hard and hit a square patch that is slick and they slide out?
The R1 got greedy eight with the throttle. The rear tire can't accelerate that hard at that lean angle so it slid, regained traction, then threw him off.
The aprilia is hard to tell how, but he definitely lost the front. Too much bar input after tip in, trailing the brakes too hard too deep, etc.if it was an environmental cause then the OP would have more crash scenes. Everyone else seems to have gotten through that corner just fine.
The guy who ran off seems to have panicked and jammed on the rear brake. The tank slapper at the end only made things worse as the front became unstable.
What is a tank slapper ??
Sorry for being a dummy
where is it?
आई,अाटवन,यातक,नाहाे
there isnt a demo r1 in the south island i already looked at that webpage i just wanted to ask someone that owns 1
People just want to get their knee down because they want to look and feel good. It doesn't help you go faster. what does make you go faster is the upper half of your body. don't hang off too much. Keep your torso in line with the bike. grip the tank with your knees. be light on the bars. use your inside bar to guide the bike though the corner. look into the turn. turn in late rather than early. and gently roll on the gas though the turn. just thought I'd share some advice :)
Nice Vid. Most everyone on here seems to be riding "crossed-up" in the turns. Need to get that torso from behind the tank and the head out by the mirror. Less lean angle and less chance of crashing.
I hear what your saying. 5 times world 500cc champ Mick Doohan used to ride with the cross up look, worked for him.
Chiller tek Have you won any world championship, ever? I'm guessing no. So stop justifying terrible body positioning.
very cool !!!
why so much dislikes? well made video mate!
Name of song?
Jakwob - Fade (feat. Maiday)
Wats the name of this song
Jakwob - Fade (feat. Maiday)
Great vid. Sorry to see the crash though. :-(
Very nice video? Trackdays are always fun, except when you crash. But good thing is nobody got serious hurt; Greetings from a Belgian track racer ;-)
jo jo, to je přesně to co jsem ještě nevyzkoušel. Snad to letos výjde nanějakém okruhu
Leaning off the bike helps you turn tighter without having the bike banked over so much dont sit up straight like some people have commented you don't have to drag your knee but it is a good gauge of how far the bike is banked over
the guy on the r1 got lucky. the bike didn't hit the ground till it was off track.
it's so hard not to roll of or even cut off when the rear slides. Been there may times and got me a broken collar bone
Good presentation of why you shouldn't cover the front brake. You'll be sliding on the asphalt before you realize you touched it.
Thanks a lot for removing the F.....G music GREAT VIDEO
I've never owned a street motorcycle, but I've grown up dirtbikes pw50, yz80, yz125 , yz250. Is riding a motorcycle on a track really that hard or are these all first timers/idiots? Because they make it look challenging, and I thought some motocross circuits were hard.
+C Genious Everyone learns at different speeds - getting used to the track isn't hard but if the tuition isn't right, it can easily result in costly mistakes. Dirt riding is a whole different skill (beneficial experience for track tho) which probably rates as a sketchier style of riding to master.
haha good shit - man that was a rough weekend
Beached as bro!! hahaha loved it!
Nice track, was one of the first to ride it. Not a fast flowing track though bit tight for V8's nice and grippy surface.
Keith Code would be proud! although some corners require to hang of (not to much ofcourse) :D
Jakwob - Fade (feat. Maiday)
ONE way to get better is too sacrifice what most we love,THE passion for a to be a pro, SO there we walk truth a shadow of pain of sorrow, AND others words, NO PAIN,NO GAME,PACE BROTHERS,
Sort of entry level DSLR yeah, Canon 650D, and mostly the 55-250mm zoomy
hahaha, you got me on this video. thanks Daniel!
thankyou
That RS is going to be expensive to repair! ;(
wow! four whole crashes! i'm surprised i made it through that total ''crash fest''
also none of them with third person view
I do trackdays at my local track (Grand Bend Raceway, Ontario Canada) on Thursdays and there is 5-8 of us lapping in the intermediate group, no traffic !!! the beginners are riding 125cc with a race school and the advanced are racers practicing for the race weekend.. I was told I could go to the advanced group but I'd be stupid to be doing laps with 20+ people when I can lap the track with only 5 other riders.. Your NZ track is freacking busy !!! and our track has 5 different cofigs, frwd&revrs.
@Taylor Welsh. Well I don't know if you are a kid trying to be cool or didn't do the work on "your own bike" but the you cannot have a power commander and carbs on a bike... Pc is for fuel injection and jet kits are for carbed bikes. Also the fan idea is slightly impractical and highly improbable. If not on, it would block your intake, when on it is taking either too little or too much air for the carbs or FI to handle. Just seems like a bad idea Imo...
@2:24, that bike has a great dampner and stablizer on it, I have seen bikes keep a straight line after wrecking but dayyyuumm
this is a really busy track day.
wow amazing
horrorble crashes, I have never seen such a disaster, it's crazy
no wonder it's called Crash Fest
thats the thing with leaning in a sport bike if you don't go fast enough there wont be any grip cause there's no momentum to pull the bike down
Also, great video editing
1:55 tank slapper, 3:19 low side, 3:45 low side, 4:32 off track.
thank you, kind sr.
co1urzz 1:55 high side 3:19 front end wash
Teegan is right, you are wrong! lol
low side and front end washout are the same! Am I wrong?
2 fans on either side flip on and spin at 10,000 rpms, constantly. It is like a mini supercharger. It also has a power commander 3, stage 2 clutch,(not a stage 3, they are overrated, and overkill for street riding, you will burn it up in a month of city riding) Wiseco BigBorePistonKit, BiggerCarbs Jetted out too. OVERKILL BRAKES FROM A 2012 Hayabusa 1400r .Bike is 141RWHP that is over 10hp up from stock,0-60 2.7 0-100 3.3 and 1/4mile with wheelie bar, and pro dragger 9.00 FLAT!! Best track bike
Nice Video! V
How these bikes are so expensive in Brazil until I was sad, it was proof of who was driving worse?
