I really love the idea of Hello Fresh, but after watching your video and seeing the meals that you had, I think that it would be really difficult for a picky eater.

I will have to say that it probably isn’t for picky eaters… because it’s not super customizable in that way, I don’t feel like it would fit well into that kind of preference unfortunately. Neither Thomas or I are picky eaters so it’s easy for us, but that does raise complications for those who are pickier eaters.

I still can not think that if you just go to a supermarket you can just buy the items far cheaper.
there are many cookbooks or online recipe card.
Looking at some meal can and likely will include foods you do not like.
Some meals can not be worth the cost you are being charged.
when you look that a 2 person 5 day box is £40.49 and £5 postage In UK. so 5 meals costing £45.49 so £9.09 a meal.
for spending £9 a day for just one meal. it is very easy to just shop and buy a lot of food for that much money.
when you look at the size of the portion sizes
I do feel you should go and price and make some of these meals, and see the price difference between your version and there for the cost.
I still feel that the amount of money you spend on food is massive

I can see your point. It would be interesting to try out some of these recipes by going to the grocery store and picking up the ingredients and comparing that to the price breakdown of that same meal from HelloFresh, itself. I would be interested in testing that out and seeing how they compare. You make a good point about the portion sizes because, like I mentioned in the video, HelloFresh does not provide enough rice, noodles, etc. occasionally on some meals. I will say that the major "pro" for me is the fact that it helps me be a little more creative in the kitchen, especially considering I am not a "cook" by nature. I definitely think that HelloFresh could just be more of a temporary thing to "liven up" someone's recipe cards, and then they can, of course, cancel when they believe they have a bit more variety in their kitchen again.

sure you could in some cases make it cheaper but youre not including travel the amount of gas each person can use how many portions and time it takes to shop plus buying bulk meat is alot of money to start off, not everyone has the time to shop or the funds to bulk buy to make it actually cheaper its not meant for everyone and everyone's lifestyles but as someone who works 6 days a week to 5 days a week i dont have time to even think about recipes and shopping im thinking about cleaning and sleep and what to get for takeout so i dont have to worry about it, but if i had the time to shop and find recipes i love it would be alot cheaper to do so in some cases but time is more important to me than saving maybe 20$

I tend to agree with you on saving time and effort, rather than like $20. I do think it could be cheaper to go to the grocery store and buy each individual ingredient for the recipes, but I also agree that that takes more effort and time and a lot of people are too busy to take a long time in the store tracking everything down. I also like that Hellofresh doesn’t cause a lot of leftovers that we have to catch up on after the initial meal.

I am too! The more I use it, the happier I become with it and I love not filling my fridge with so many leftovers😁
