These prices are scummy. But I have watched several videos about this topic and no one mentions the fact that you get Dragon Krystals just by playing the game, and those Bridge the gap, for example in your "I have 450, but need 500" situation. I just feel that giving all of the facts is important.
Valid point. I don't know much about what modes earn them, I still have 0 so I didn't realize that was a thing. Still feels like the whole pack of 10 hotdogs, pack of 8 buns thing. But I get your point. Thanks. As for SF6 Fighter Coins, you can only get them with cash.
@GlaciusXL it's not a large amount by any means but I think it should be known that at level 20 and level 31 of every character mastery you get 200 dragon Krystal. I was very suprised when I found this out and I think it would be a great idea to give them as rewards in the kombat league as well when you hit certain ranks.
I remember buying Soul Calibur 2 on Gamecube for $20 in Toys R Us way back then. So much content and replay value like Weapon Master mode and all the characters with like 10 weapons and 3 skins each. One of my favorite games ever and i still play it till this day. All these nickel and dime crap really blows.
Good video. I’ve been on the pulse of fighting game dlc since sfv. I think you missed sf6 battle pass. A monthly free that allows you to play to unlock the items in it. So if you don’t play a certain amount, you will not receive everything in the battle pass.

My personal advice, if you buy the game day one, don’t buy any dlc. Wait for a sale unless it’s one thing that you know is worth it. If you’re a competitive player, then do you. You’ll be playing for years so buy whatever. Everyone else, wait for sales and bundles.
I didn't get that game until years later, so i don't know. Most of the SFV ones though were like $4-$5 maybe which included all the colors. Sometimes there were bundles that made them about $3 a piece maybe. The pricey ones were the ones they sold for CAPCOM CUP for like $10 that I never bothered with. First "DLC" custome I remember, was actually included on a CD. It was LeiFang's black dress for DOA3 included on a CD in Xbox Magazine.

In a society where SO MANY unabashedly revere the tenants of capitalism and neoliberalism, many of these same people get mad and is somehow surprised, especially in this digital age where companies have found yet another way to make a buck and capitalize on it. Yeah, its disgusting how dlc and microtransactions gets worse and worse from title to title. i already know that i dont spend any dime anymore into sf6 or capcom fighting games. Netherrealm/MK is on the brink of losing me too so the only one left is Bandai Namco with Tekken8 coming soon. I hope they are not as greedy as Capcom and Nr.

@@yundadoom i doubt that they charge for every customization but one indicator so far are the avatar figures. preorder bonus are tied to getting 3? figures so i guess they will try to charge for them at least. 3 month to go and we all know.
JCVD is included with the DLC pack, it wasn't the incentive for premium, the DLC included along with the week early access was the incentive, as well as pre-order got you Shang Tsung. Many people misunderstood the incentive because there were a few things to get with prwmium

I'm not defending NRS and WB, but you fail to mention that dragon crystals are obtainable in game. Leveling up characters will give you those. I still play SoulBlade on PS1 too. That game has so much to it. That and Tekken 3. I still play SC1, 2 & 3 a lot. Great games!

Tekken8 will have something gross. I can’t think of anything we haven’t already seen. Any customization will cost.
