- (Diet update below) *Attention* Due to the large volumes of hate mail, condescending remarks/comments, and threats I have decided to make the comments on this video approval only. As you can clearly tell, After a few moments of crying, My wife/ his mother wiped the rice cereal out of his mouth, picked him up, and comforted him. In the past he loved his organic rice cereal served with breast milk. During this video he simply did not want it. If you believe we are rotten, horrible, despotic, cruel, sick parents, and you feel the need to express that opinion. Please by all means share!! if it makes you feel better. Send me a email or comment. I probably won't reply, and I'm sure I will not approve the comment. But if it makes you feel better, then go for it. But remember one thing. Advice is worth 2 cents and opinions are worthless. To your dismay. Fuji TV Network of Japan and Nickelodeon TV Network of the USA have both contacted me asking for permission to display this video on their network in shows that contain funny home videos. Have a great day! *update* March 2013 Elliot is now 2 and half years old very healthy eating a fresh diet of organic meats, vegetables and fruits. He eats very well. Fish, chicken, beef, venison, elk, broccoli, squash, kiwi, bananas, blueberries, carrots, tomatoes, are some of his top favorites. Elliot eats organic home made meals. No artificial flavors, no high fructose corn syrup, no fast food, no red #40 or Blue 6. At age 2 Elliot was fully potty trained and speaking full sentences. Well done SON!!

babies will always do funny things..even if they have eaten that before.. you cant always think its the parents that are doing it.. babies are picky.. one day they will love it.. maybe the next they wont.. beautiful baby..

This is soo cute...I have a baby brother and he is 5 months old And he does the same thing when we feed him some baby juice..It's just so cute to watch :)
wow, people, seriously give it a break! They are doing NOTHING wrong!!!! A lot of babies do this, everyone has different taste, including babies. I am sure most of you don't have babies or have actually raised your own.. There is no need for negative comments and insults. This baby is very much loved, and you can clearly see that!

I had 3 of my own kids and now have 3 grandkids. We've ALL had them fuss and gag over baby cereal and other baby foods. Their reactions are hilarious and there's nothing wrong with laughing over the funny faces they make!! Rock on, mom and dad!!! This baby isn't being tortured and cereal isn't going to kill him.
Awww!. Feeding my baby rice cereal for the first time yesterday was quite humorous, he didn't even realize it was food. Sometimes they are just fussy! Your baby is super adorable!
I guess we all change our likes and dislikes from time to time and even if he liked it yesterday, today he has decided that he doesn't like it. He is so cute. I'll still be laughing at him when I go to bed.

Lol my little boy is about that age and is a drama queen about meals too. One day it is delicious, the next day it is poison and a deep personal insult. Parents know their babies cries, and this baby didn't sound scared or terribly upset.
I love this dad, he's no nonsense, just like me.
My patents made me feat things I didn't feel like eating all the time, to keep me healthy and make sure I was nourished. If everytime this baby didn't wanna eat something the parents gave up he wouldn't be getting the nutrition he needs and he would get a spoils attitude. Good on you mommy for holding your grounds!

Worst parents ever beat children, starve them,abuse them beyond that which we can comprehend.This is NOT abuse.It is a will-full little one and they are demanding and just that from birth.We love them all the same and I believe those that find this offensive, have no kids and need to have them, before passing judgement.Cute video and I smiled and have 5 kids.Oh the joys.Loving parents you can tell and wish people would lighten up and see this for the giggle of why it was posted.

Oh for pete's sake, you can tell he is loved! I had 3 kids and some days they all ate really well, and other days they didn't. They are now 31, 28, and 26. They are all healthy. In fact, the oldest is a Mom herself-and my granddaughter is in good health too. People, if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all! Didn't you at least learn from your moms?
Funny Video. Obviously the people who are complaining dont have kids or have never had to deal with babies. The babies reaction is totally normal. Most babies gag on 'something'. A lot gag on most food the first couple times you feed them. Introducing flavors is a process.
The people that are leaving hate mail aren't parents. I guarantee it.

my baby sister did the same with macaroni and cheese and chicken noodle (I don't blame her one bit, I tried it myself and it was horrid) she loved her rice cereal to bits. Once we alternated between banana and mac and cheese and the look she gave us was hilarious!!!

My 3 hated rice cereal. I ended up using apple juice instead of milk (either breast milk or formula) and they seemed to enjoy it more. Also none stayed on the baby cereal long and graduated to baby foods where they loved both the veggies and fruits. Heck they just loved to eat. This little guy wanted his way that's for sure! His looks were so cute and the cry was a stubborn one!
Seriously some people should lay of the hatery! This helps babies through that stage of taste and distaste, where they decide what like and don't.

I'm not surprised you had to start screening comments, but I'm sorry about it. Only a bonehead wouldn't be able to tell when a baby is just being melodramatic and when he's genuinely distressed. People need to chill- before I even read your "disclaimer" i knew people would bash this because you guys are just being real- come on people have a sense of humor! It is so funny when babies get so dramatic and if you only try a food once (even though you stated he has had the cereal before) how are they supposed to gain a palate for the food? lol anyway CUTE baby and I loved the video :) :)

All babies object to their cereal till they used to the texture hang in there.
For all the haters out there, if you ever talk to a child dietitian, they will tell you that kids might not like many foods when they first start trying them. Thus to keep feeding them it and trying them over and over to get them used to it. This has nothing to do with being bad parents. =/

This was cute! I see nothing wrong with this. Kids complain when they do not like the taste of foods but it's not going to kill them. Same thing goes with babies. They're developing, Finding some foods that are not "tasty" is part of that development, and it's not going to kill them if they eat it.
Reacting like this on something new or unusual isn't really weird, He absolutely does look super cute! People have to get used to the taste of new things, and it could take up to 10 times before people start to like it, so do baby's! Give him a break :)
I won't be hating guys but if the baby DOESN'T want to eat that , just leave him alone !!

Maybe he wants some apple sauce or something fruity. My son loves those the best.

Obviously the people who gave the parents grief about the baby crying aren't parents themselves. This is completely normal baby behavior. All babies react violently when they don't get their way. People need to chill out
My son did the same thing...Theres nothing wrong with this video...I can't believe there was hate mail over this..30, 40 years ago people wouldn't have thought anything of this...now everyone is a bunch of big whiners...it's not like u were forcing it didn't his throat or anything...geez...
