It’s baking powder not baking soda.
What can we use instead of the Eno? I don't know what that is...

Il muffin è geniale e ho visto il video e mi è piaciuto molto. Bravi 🙂, ma lo voglio fare per constatare l'effetto di una cottura al vapore e il gusto del muffin che ha dopo la cottura. Alternately you can even add pureed jackfruit pulp to it instead of banana... It's a favourite sweet in coastal South india...

Yum! Reminds me of "Puto Calasio" here in the Philippines♡
I find it so amazing that we have the same dish specific to the Visayas region in my country (except we don't use fruit salt, I don't know what that is)! We call it Putong Bisaya. So nostalgic and indeed it is the perfect snack, and pairs so well with a hot chocolate drink!
Eno fruit salt is a combination of baking soda (sodium bicarb), sodium carbonate, and citric acid. A good substitute that works is baking soda and lemon or lime juice. Sprinkle the baking soda over the dough, pour the juice over the soda. Stir to mix, then steam. Subukan mo ang medjo kulang na 1/4 cucharita at kalahating cucharita nang calamansi. Oh sige, Inday, let us know.
Chinese or Spanish influence perhaps?

It is good to avoid aluminium containers can leave harmful chemicals.. We use banana leaf in India to stem.. 😉

Finally it was a success third time. First attempt, it didn’t raise much and it was so dense, the second attempt, it shrunk after taking out from the pan. Third attempt, it was successful and it’s delicious 🤣.
What did u do in the 3rd attempt to make it rise?
Can I make it without Eno fruit salt .Does it make any difference in this recipe 😐
