- Today AD is welcomed to Los Angeles, CA by Seth Rogen for a look inside the headquarters of Houseplant, the cannabis/home goods brand he founded with business partner Evan Goldberg. Though the company also has a more run-of-the-mill office space, Houseplant mainly operates out of a 1918-built Los Angeles bungalow. ”We did not set out to base Houseplant out of a house,” the comedian says - but it makes perfect sense. “A lot of our products are home goods. We found that being able to see them in a home setting was invaluable.”

I appreciate so much him talking about clean-ability. It’s something industrial designers either do really well or really badly. Or the person creating items didn’t go to school for it and just doesn’t understand and that’s incredibly frustrating. I feel like there’s an enormous problem of people who design not actually talking to the people that are going to use the item, not asking what they want and need, and then are surprised when people don’t love it. So anyways, mad respect.

I swear his laugh gets me every single time lol. But on a more important note that ash tray collection is wicked. All the different color combinations, sizes and textures are super cool. Also the fact that he makes his own ceramic pieces is awesome. It makes me miss doing ceramics and creating pottery.

Plug in block lighter owner here and I f-ing love it. Definitely a conversation piece as well as a cool lighter since everyone that comes over geeks out over it. Ironically, Houseplant can be hard to find at many dispensaries here in LA, but I highly suggest picking some up if you come across their goods. Amazing, high quality stuff. 👍🏽

I watch 80-90% of videos at 1.25-1.75 speed and I rarely feel that it is too fast (and English is not even my first language). I understand that people can't speak so fast (especially if they speak freely, not reading, they need time to put their thoughts into words), but I just don't have the patience to watch videos at normal speed (this way I can watch more videos in the same amount of time).
