- For this session I used my jazziest jazz guitar - the wonderful @gibsonguitar Super400! Such a big guitar with some pretty crazy dimensions!
Bruno Müller visited my GypsyGuitarAcademy studio and we recorded some great tunes for you - including this jam on "Out Of Nowhere"!
Bruno is one of the most busy guitarists in Germany, working with major jazz artists, on various German TV shows & teaching at the conservatory in Cologne.
It was a pleasure to welcome him to our Academy Studio and I am excited to share the full session with you!

Bruno is playing a Epiphone Century from the 40s, great sound !
I had an Arnold Hoyer with a cutaway from the same era, I think, and, it sounded very much like that one. I wonder if the makers were related. Too bad I destroyed it, still feeling the pain after all these years :( ...
I'm hearing "Star Trek"! Sure enough, a quick Google search seems to confirm that Out Of Nowhere was the basis for that theme tune. Very fitting, of course.
That old Epiphone sounds outstandingly good...but probably because it is played well😜
Sounds more „natural“ to me than the Super 400 🤓🤝 … but Joscho’s playing sounds very good 👍

I find Bruno's solo much more interesting than Jocho's which much too busy with all 64th note runs. This type of playing bores me. I am an 80 year old jazz guitarist who started playing at 14 by the way. Bruno's solo is more musical.
I had a Super 400 but had to trade it in because the sound wasnt as good as Joscho's 400!
