This yard had some super tall grass and completely overgrown edges/sidewalks-it was on a busy corner so it stuck out like a sore thumb in the neighborhood. I met a BUNCH of neighbors on this one, some mad & some happy. Either way, the transformation was a huge difference!

I guess that for more than 60.000 subscribers CZcams and sponsors pay at least a little bit of those expenses. Other people pay way more for their weekend hobbies and get way worse feedback. (Rolling coal, riding loud motorbikes, doing other noisy or smelly stuff...)

I agree wholeheartedly! Though I probably wouldn't have blamed him if he'd accepted the money. I don't think accepting an offering from an appreciative neighbor has anything to do with integrity. He's was offering it with an eye toward supplying Tucker with snack and drinks and maybe gas money for the equipment. It's really no different than accepting a cold drink or a slice of pound cake. Just like *lots* of pound cake! 😂
@@Lucinda_JacksonI guess it’s an individual thing. Tim never accepts money, but Fills does. Offering a drink or snack to sustain someone while they’re working feels different than accepting cash. The purpose of doing it free is to give without expecting anything in return. It’s a charitable gesture. Taking money diminishes that. This is just my personal opinion. It’s nice that we can have different perspectives. Neither one wrong nor right, just different.

First off, thank you for making Louisiana a better place again. You are a force Tucker. This is only a suggestion, run around the edges and sidewalks with the mower first. Your edger won't get clogged as much and won't have to cut through so much. Try it. You might like it. Thank you again for all of your hard work. Next time take the $50. It isn't the $300 some would have charged but it will make him feel better about himself for contributing and it will pay for gas, bags and dump fees.
Agree 100% with everything you said. Your suggestion to cut first with the mower, then edge is exactly what I do. So much more efficient.

You only have to look at some lawn care channels with over 2 million subscribers to see the difference in the way they leave the grass debris on the yards and compare it with this. Great job Tucker it's an awesome transformation 👏
I try to keep in mind 1) These guys are doing 1 to 4 days worth of work for free, 2) Sometimes there's a cost for bringing in yard waste, 3) Most of the time it's grass/weeds and loose dirt that can be mulched a few times and settle into the grass. The edging, trimming and mowing is a huge improvement.
@alisonscannell3721 So true! Once upon a time that 2 million subscribers CZcams creator would bag up all of the green waste. Now that creator just leaves it behind looking like crap. 2 million subscribers and a lot of sponsors sure brings in a huge amount of revenue.

@@Joker_68You are 100% correct. That person used to bag up everything. Then we he got all those sponsors and subscribers he decided he didn’t need to anymore. He was so much better in the beginning. We need to help Tucker get those sponsors and publicity. I wish I knew how.

I want to say how wonderful your transformations are but what I really want to say is that you are one of the nicest if not THE nicest of all the young men on CZcams doing this service.
I loved how people driving by would wave or stop to thank him. You don't see that much anymore.

A thing that you different than the other bigger lawn guys on YT is that you take time to clear the yard of HUGE chunks of grass and dirt clumps that they just leave behind in the yard. Your transformations look SO much better because of that…. VERY impressed.

He also sets the mower at the correct height so that the blades don't graze the ground, which isn't pretty.
You are a very kind person to do that and it was nice the neighbor offered you money, and you were an even better person for not accepting it and telling him to give it to someone who needs it. Kindness is still in this world!

Having been on a Volunteer Fire Dept. for 5 years, I can't Believe that No One on that street at least cleaned around that Fire Hydrant! SMH, you're Awesome at what you do, a Real Man, getting er Done!❤

That was a huge yard to cover, plus edges. Love to watch your meticulous work ethics, bagging all the grass cuttings and pruning bushes. How nice of the locals to thank you for your efforts, it was so appreciated. Your filming is great too. One doesn't get bored at all. Be blessed❤🇿🇦

I lost track of all the bags you filled and back in the day neighbors helped neighbors, when someone had trouble they band together and helped. Iguess i am showing my age.
Yes it is really a sad start the world is in.... They can not even get off there butts to keep the fire hydrant clear... Oh well let it get high and one of there homes catch on fire... The fire department may miss that hydrant and spend few more minutes laying extra supply lines risking the hoses getting ran over and wrecked or worse the drop in water for the fire fighters in the house fighting the fire...
The people on this street TRULY APPRICIATE the HARD work you put in! My aunt, who my wife and I live with, came in and said "Someone's cutting the grass on the corner where the fire hydrant is!" Se was amazed at your lawnmower and how you maneuvered it around. I was amazed by the HOURS of work you put in and the quality of that work. THANK YOU! Our neighborhood thanks you as well!!!

The place looks great! A simple thank you to the gentleman that did the work is all thst is required. And offer him a cold bottle of water!
From watching yours and several other lawn care videos, seems to me to be an unusual number of abandoned houses on huge corner lots...thus the extreme amount of sidewalk and curb maintenance. YOU do an outstanding job of cleaning these up...very important for the community.
Corner lots in most places cost more in property taxes.

@@bman5438 Yes. And from working as bank real estate loan officer and other various real estate related jobs, for some reason a corner lot carries more value...why I don't know although I've personally never thought so...more street exposure is not necessarily an asset, seemed to me.

I think it dates back to the days when taxes were based on street frontage.

Who knew there was a fire hydrant in all of that grass. Good thing you found and cleared around the area. Glad you were able to gather up all of the excess grass and remove. The yard can breathe now.

You made the neighborhood a better place. I never understand how the property owners or the banks think that a rundown place will receive a second look.
Especially when it's a situation where someone has gone into long-term care or had a sudden disability or a death and literally lawn care is the last thing on their list. I dream of the time when we noticed something was off with the neighbor and go and find out what's up and help them.
Because they know flippers don't care because they are going to reap up everything and cover it with cement.
They all complain but no one does any thing yes offer money but don't wanta do bc the work

The flippers bought my old neighbor's house when he passed away. They ripped up all of his prize hybrid roses& plants. I came home from work and everything was gone. I would've rescued some had I'd known. The place looked sterile. 🙁

There is nitrogen in those clippings good for the lawn too….but clearly way to much grass here to to all of it….lol

An amazing job by an amazing young man. It was very nice of that neighbor to offer you a reward for your work. I do have one suggestion, if the neighbors near that empty house got together and worked out a schedule, where as each neighbor took a turn of one day a month, they could help keep their neighborhood looking cleaner and neater. Just a thought.

I agree. I unsubscribed from the channel that does just mows and goes. Don’t do the job if you’re not going to do it right.
Depending on the original condition of the lawn, and local weather, sometimes it's better for the lawn to leave short clippings on it. Nature mulches naturally, and plants thrive because of that (unless the plant dropping leaves discourages undergrowth because of certain chemicals in the leaves etc.)

They still do a lot of work,for free,and it still look good.
Sometimes they dont have enough time. Sometimes its not the best option ,to remove , depended on area,weather,and state of the grass.

Your work is good, and nice to see that neighbors are activating and stopping by. Edging the street strip is good. It puts in a sense of order and the sidewalks are being visually reconnected to the rest of the area. Liked your shoveled solution to the section with no curb. A well done crisis trim on the hedge, with wasps threatening. 37:21, as a point of humor, the sidewalk strip, not yet mowed, is now contrasted with the mown section of lawn. Final photos show a strong difference, from a very overgrown yard to neat and fitting in with the neighborhood. The corner is clear, the fire hydrant findable, and the storm drain functioning.
